Thought I'd get the ball rolling as I know there have been some BFPs in the last few days on here.....

Just got a confirmatory BFP on a clear blue. This will be DC2, DC1 will be two in two weeks!

So grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the vino soft drinks on offer.

Ps is it really bad that I am craving a jug of Pimm's?!

D30 - I'm keeping everything crossed for you too, really hope you get good news but as you say you must be positive that you know you can conceieve naturally no matter what happens now.

Got loads to say from not posting yesterday, pages and pages to catch up with but will try not to make my post too massive.. ok here we go...

eggandbean · 16/06/2012 13:05

Bean - watched the telling-the-parents video, how lovely! Your Dad is so sweet, love the way he just suddenly goes all quiet but is clearly beaming with joy, awe.

LittleMiss - thanks v much for the kind words on labour / the birth - I think I'll take your approach, what's gotta happen is going to happen regardless so maybe the less I know about it the better! (apart from the bare essentials like how to push and all that, I'll let them teach me that!!) I always think, the fact that so many people go back and have a 2nd one, proves it's worth it etc. and BabyLann - 30 mins from start to finish?! Wow, if only...

moo - congrats!! cramping, tiredness, it's all totally normal :) tell us all about it, we are all going through similar things, worrying about having loads or no symptons, everyone is obviously so different so it's reassuring to hear everyone's stories of how they are feeling at the moment.

perfect - thanks for that re: exercise, really good to know. Don't worry it didn't sound like boasting at all, it's great hearing that if you are up to that fitness level already there's a good chance of keeping up what you enjoy doing. I definitely like the sound of staying as strong and fit as possible throughout the pregnancy if possible. Just frustrated at the moment that I've let my running slip from being injured, and also having been spinning for a couple of months too, so both of those are going to feel slightly 'new' when I re-start (hopefully v soon) so I know I'll have to be very careful.

Congrats also something, zany, angry, newmotivated and anyone else new that I've forgotten (still v new myself, only been on here less than a week pretty much after I found out although it feels like ages that I've known!)

No way I'm buying anything for baby yet, still all about me me me and the idea of being pregnant! Got my order from new look today, the maternity jeans (which were only about £13) are amazing, soooo comfy I could start wearing them now (but won't!) and look really nice too, very exciting!

Spotty - did you sleep better last night? Hope so you poor thing.

spottypyjamas · 16/06/2012 13:10

eggandbean I did sleep soooo much better last night thank u. Hubby keeps laughing at me and my new "issues" mind! X

BabylannShallFall · 16/06/2012 13:13

I'm sorry d30, sending positive thoughts your way x

QueenOfTheDrama · 16/06/2012 13:29

D30 so sorry that you're going through this, you must be so worried. Really really hope that you get good news tomorrow xx

eggandbean · 16/06/2012 14:07

I also wanted to ask - have any of you got blotchy skin anywhere? My chest and stomach have been blotchy the last few days, looks a bit like a rash but does not itch. I've googled it (of course!) and seems that yes it is a symptom of pregnancy but usually not until the 4th - 6th months so I'm obviously way before that. Also there seems to be mumblings that some say it's a sign of nutritional deficiency which worries me. I'm vegetarian but I do eat well, get my protein from lots of tofu / beans etc, try to keep my iron levels up as best I can through vitamins and leafy green veg (but have had low iron levels in the past, especially when marathon training.. being a female vegetarian athlete is a bad combo for low iron apparently!)

Anyone else had this? Should I be worried?

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 16/06/2012 14:34

Is anyone else just so damn grumpy?! I seem to be, don't know why and I'm pissing myself off now Angry seem to constantly frowning.....

As an aside, was in Boots this morning and ds ( aged 2) picked up a pink newborn baby grow and ran round the store with it. DH is convinced its a sign Wink

Thanks egg my dad said he knew id be pregnant soon just thought id wait till after the wedding :)
his reaction was so funny though as he was so animated then bam realization hits.

We had decided yesterday maybe we shouldn't buy anything then today we won that cot on ebay. 47.50Euro is a bargain so i wont complain. it will get used

cheese iv been a tiny bit grumpy but dp is seriously grumpy and he doesn't get grumpy ever so i think he is having sympathy grumps. He said he has never seen me in such good form apart from the odd devil bitch from hell looks
i had a bit of a melt down today as im not used to dp being like that and it was stressing me out big time.

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 16/06/2012 17:16

Cheese I have been pretty grumpy, mostly with DH and been great with everyone else, probably because I'm not good with secrets and am having to give up loads when he isn't - am selling one of my beloved horses as am being realistic about time money and energy!
Think I'll be better once I know if twins or singleton, I am quite concerned about this at moment!
Am also having a bit of an emotional day as have actually worked out how horribly overweight I am, I put on a whole stone during the ivf process so am starting my pregnancy at high end overweight Sad I plan to walk and ride as much as possible and keep eating healthily, have had lapse today as a bit depressed and eaten 6 slices of marmite toast! Grr, why do I comfort eatBlush
Great video bean, my dad would totally know something was up if I videoed him though! My dad has gone to Australia for a long holiday so I wont see him til after my 8 week scan so may get him a grandad card and tell him then!
X

morecoffeemorecoffee · 16/06/2012 17:19

I am grumpy as well. Every time Dh speaks to me I do this Angry

I bought something! I know its early, but while wandering around Tesco I got drawn to the baby stuff Blush we now have 3 very cute neutral bunny vests.... Dh confessed he had a look in mothercare on Friday and nearly bought something! :)

BeanDunne · 16/06/2012 17:28

slightly we do daily vlogs on youtube, on a different channel to pregnancy vlogs, so he is kinda used to the camera at this stage. im so glad we got it on film.
Dps parents were harder to film as we don't ever vlog in front of them so we made it look like the camera was off and had it set up ages before we told them.

D30rvg · 16/06/2012 17:39

Thank you everyone for your best wishes.

I ended up back in hospital today as bleeding got heavier. They have confirmed that I am in the process of losing the baby.

I'm going to sign off now but I wish you all the very best in your pregnancies.

Much love x

BeanDunne · 16/06/2012 17:45

somethingwittynot · 16/06/2012 18:06

I'm so so sorry for you loss. We went into mothercare buying some grows for DS but I couldn't help have a loot at all the nutral stuff. Reminds me how tiny they really are!!

morecoffeemorecoffee · 16/06/2012 19:08

Oh D30 I'm so sorry for your loss and my deepest sympathies go to you and your Dh. So sad. Xxx

LittleMissSnowShine · 16/06/2012 19:36

I'm so, so sorry D30, it's such a horrible and sad thing to go through - thinking of you and your family this evening and wishing you all the best for the future xx

LittleMissSnowShine · 16/06/2012 19:38

eggandbean - my skin went blotchy with DS all round my chest and shoulders when I was about 10 weeks with DS. I was right in the middle of HG and I was hardly keeping any food down so i was worried it was some kind of deficiency too. Midwife assured me not and through preg I kept getting other weird things, like these strange red patches just under my eyes of dry skin that made it look like I was always crying or i'd been punched in both eyes, and weird puffy hands. Apparently the preg hormones just do weird things to your skin sometimes stretchmarks hee

LittleMissSnowShine · 16/06/2012 19:41

Also - re being grumpy, not as yet! I'm knackered and slightly tearful (I nearly cried at DS's Disney Cars dvd the other night because no one wanted to visit Radiator Springs...don't ask) but I'm sure the moody bitch hormones will come - can't wait to have an excuse to nag DH and make him do the hoovering hee hee "it's the hormones, darling...now while you're on your feet, you wouldn't put the kettle on would you?"

somethingwittynot · 16/06/2012 20:33

I am very tearful to! Have told my parents and PILS about splodge and have wanted to cry ever since!! When I was pregnant with DS maybe about 8 months along I cried because I dropped my soup!

QueenOfTheDrama · 16/06/2012 21:18

D30 Sad I'm so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you. x

orangewellies · 16/06/2012 21:35
