Thought I'd get the ball rolling as I know there have been some BFPs in the last few days on here.....

Just got a confirmatory BFP on a clear blue. This will be DC2, DC1 will be two in two weeks!

So grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the vino soft drinks on offer.

Ps is it really bad that I am craving a jug of Pimm's?!

moo21753 that's amazing bless you trying so long but your here now Grin

ickleboy another valentines baby yay!!

perfect that's awesome all the exercise keep you from getting huge? I've lost 5lbs in the last 4 weeks so just 2lbs away from my 9st target! I cycle and walk loads and plan to carry on as long as possible defo agree being fit helps for the big push at the end and getting back into shape after.

Was speaking to do last night wondering how I'll manage a year off work Hmm

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 14:28

Thanks! This will be Dc2

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 14:37

I've got my appt with the GP on the 19th :)

McPrice · 15/06/2012 14:49

tomorrow am thrifty shopping for the wee one (also goes by the name gremlin due to cramps its giving me), picked up a baby walker for £5 off the secondhand notice board at work (i know its a bit early but its a bargin!) so am picking that up in the morning and in the afternoon am going to a secondhand baby thing run by the nct people. wish me luck!

lastnights night shift was a struggle again, I have never had a problem before :(
hoping this will pass

Pinkie29 · 15/06/2012 14:54

Gremlin!!! Haha love it!

morecoffeemorecoffee · 15/06/2012 14:56

Yay! Got my booking in appt with midwife on Wednesday! So excited :)

angrytree · 15/06/2012 14:58

I'm sure it will pass, McPrice. I think the first trimester is often the worst in terms of feeling ill and other symptoms. Enjoy the baby shopping!

morecoffeemorecoffee · 15/06/2012 15:00

mcprice I love a bargain too!

something not long until you see your gp. Hopefully you will see your midwife fairly soon after. :)

All this talk if exercise has got me itching to go for a swim. I was a regular at the gym but haven't been for months a while, so swimming will be the exercise of choice for me this pregnancy I think.

LittleMissSnowShine · 15/06/2012 15:01

angrytree - i'm the exact opposite, i couldn't shift a lb when i was breastfeeding but as soon as i stopped the weight fell off me!!

mcprice - ooh love a bit of an NCT sale, got DS a bag of lovely barely worn designer toddler togs there for about £7!

perfectshade - that is v impressive! i think i'm going to give my usual zumba class a go next week and if it's killing me then I can always think again but i'd like to keep it up if i can. i'd also like to do yoga this time, used to be well into that and i did go to mum & baby yoga when DS was small so might be good for toning / breathing while preg...

mrsm80 - also zoning out today, took a half hour lunch at naptime while DS was sleeping Grin bloody torrential rain, at home with a toddler who is dying to get outside but it's not like it's drizzling, it's flipping lashing down! think i'm going to brave tesco with grumpy toddler in tow, wish me luck lol

So I tested with first response this morning and BFP just tested with superdrug and BFP can't believe this is real! I coluldntbsee a midwife till 11 weeks with Ds and my SIL is at the same practice couldn't see one till ten weeks!

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 15:21

We've got to save up for a double pram and a cot bed were staying team yellow so will go major clothes shopping once baby is here

MrsM80 · 15/06/2012 15:46

Wow I'm impressed at everyone's shopping and thinking of the practicalities already! Have just about got my head around the fact I'm pg never mind what I need to buy! I think I'll have to become the queen of never ending lists!

Going to go for a run this evening despite the lashing rain. Thin ill leave the office early too as I'm being as much use as a chocolate fire guard! Oooh choc!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 15/06/2012 15:50

Welcome and congratulations to the newcomers!

I haven't dared buy anything for baby yet, haven't even bought any maternity stuff yet, just don't want to jinx it.

I do love a bargain so may cave if I see anything. I have joined a Facebook group for local second hand buggies, but it's obviously way too early for that and I won't know for another 3 weeks if it's multiple!

Other than supremely sore boobs at night I don't seem to have any symptoms at mo, hope it's all cooking ok!

Am pleased with all the exercise talk, I was running up to start of ivf but it was too painful, and pretty much stopped doing anything. But feel much better and have been walking a lot. Plan to ride my horses a lot more for the first few months, but won't be jumping as it is considered a contact sport (especially if you fall off!)

SBC x

Sorry I don't name check enough but phone app doesn't let you scroll back down!

BeanDunne · 15/06/2012 16:00

Hey something nice to see you here :) im supposedly the 21 0r the 22 by different calculations.

I may start exercising as i'm eating so much i defo wont fit into my wedding dress.

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 16:02

If anyone's having twins I have an iCandy pear for sale! Selling it because I want a donkey

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 16:04

Yay bean!! I'm either the 19th or the 22nd haha

QueenOfTheDrama · 15/06/2012 16:21

Hello & welcome to all the new people - and congratulations Smile

Loving all the exercise talk but I get the feeling I'm going to get huge - I'm so tired at the moment that the thought of doing anything except flop onto the sofa after work fills me with horror! Blush Plus my stomach is all round and bloated, seriously I look about 6 months gone already. Does anybody else have this and will it go down soon or just continue to grow as the baby does?!

perfectshadeofgrey · 15/06/2012 16:26

Just found out that there is a case of chicken pox in my dd's nursery. I definetely had it so should be ok right? Still I'm feeling a bit uneasy about it.
Anybody has any experience with that?

Pinkie29 · 15/06/2012 16:32

crazed we're not buying anything until our scan, no choice about getting the maternity bras this early Grin

I can't wait to go shopping for the pram cot and clothes etc!! Can already see my little Poppy being spoilt like mad not to mention by the grandparents too eeeek!

somethingwittynot · 15/06/2012 16:45

If baby is a boy then we already have the stuff haha! We will spread he shopping out over the pregnancy like we did with DS

QueenOfTheDrama · 15/06/2012 16:52

perfect sorry no advice as I've never had chicken pox Confused If I hear of anyone who has it I'll have to avoid like the plague!

Oh I can't wait to start baby shopping either pinkie Smile Think we'll spread it out over the pregnancy like you suggest something but I don't want to buy anything TOO early. I'm going to do some shopping tomorrow to get my dad's father's day pressie so may have a little browse in mothercare and mamas & papas while I'm there Grin

loveschocolate · 15/06/2012 17:23

You should be OK if you've had chicken pox before. I've never knowingly had it so had a titre done before trying to get pregnant and I'm immune so must have been infected but never had the spots.

I now can't get a booking in appointment with the midwife until wk 12 - Drs receptionist told me it was too early to make the appt until today - grrrrr.

spottypyjamas · 15/06/2012 17:33

All this talk of exercise, is it wrong that i just wanna get in from work and sleep?

So last night, what a night, slight TMI alert!

Woke up at 1am completely sweating and in agony, never felt that bad! Hubby has never heard me ahem pass wind (been together 5 years so quite an acheivement on my part i feel!) well that was all about to change. After rolling around on the bed and groaning for a few mins i take myself out of the room, hubby comes to check on me a few mins later, and the only way i could make myself feel better was to take my pj top off, put a cold soaked tea towel on my back and lie on the landing floor with my bum pointing in the air, what a sight! god job he loves me! It worked however and i felt better so did get back to sleep, looking forward to whatever fun and games appear later!
