Thought I'd get the ball rolling as I know there have been some BFPs in the last few days on here.....

Just got a confirmatory BFP on a clear blue. This will be DC2, DC1 will be two in two weeks!

So grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the vino soft drinks on offer.

Ps is it really bad that I am craving a jug of Pimm's?!

Gap have a sale that started today - sone good maternity basics that can be worn through until winter by layering, adding chunky knits etc.

I have a wedding to attend when I will be nine weeks. As I can't predict what size I will be, how do I get an outfit?! Am hoping to keep schtum til about twelve weeks. Amy ideas? Anybody seen any floaty dresses around that may hide a bump, but if there is no bump then I don't want the dress to give the illusion that there is one there Blush

I think I'm sleep deprived.

'Life before birth' Sunday 8pm. Discovery channel. It looks really good and even DP wants to watch it!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 22:43

What style are you looking for? Warehouse have some lovely floaty dresses at the moment. There is a really floaty pink one.

I cant sleep at night my head is racing, it doesnt seem real.

I have a really difficult weekend coming up with close friends and there is a really big reason why I cant say, feel under a lot of pressure to go undetected. I think I`ll feel better after it. Its going to be boozy as well. Going to be hard work.

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 11/06/2012 22:49

Wear heels pickle. Makes you feel better, makes your tummy hips look smaller ie not bloated ( I assume you mean bloated when you say undetected?) also pretend you're drinking gin n tonic/ vodka lemonade, with a lemon in, but just have it without the spirit. Or try and make a wine spritzer last an hour or too?! Don't know if this helps. Sure is hard tho.

i was around a newborn at weekend with all my family. Am sure they guessed as I never pay attention to other people's babies normally Grin

I cant wear heels!! I have fat weird feet.

I cant say im pg at all. And I normally drink like a fish. AND smoke a few cheeky fags.

I`ll have to duck and dive, dodge and weave all weekend.

BeanDunne · 11/06/2012 22:55

im dreading my hen parties a woman at work today was like oh were going to get you so drunk at your hen you wont be able to stand... hmm bestie may have to take a bullet and drink all my drinks ha ha

eggandbean · 11/06/2012 23:02

bean - I definitely have supernose, it's driving me mad, I'm smelling new things all the time! crikey when's your hen do then?

pickle / cheese / whoever else said it - I can't sleep either! On Sat night I had about 10 hours sleep, got up Sun morning and went swimming (normal for me), but then was so tired I came back to bed for another 2 - 3 hours... but then could hardly sleep at all last night as my head was buzzing, and now I feel the same again even though I've been zonked all day.

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 11/06/2012 23:02

Have just found out a girl at work is a week ahead of me and has declared it, was talking to her about things and had to bite my lip, I'm not giving the game Way just yet! Then go on fb and a friend I've not seen in a few months has posted a 12 week scan pic! Again biting lip!

QueenOfTheDrama · 11/06/2012 23:05

bean & cheese great suggestions for pickle Think I'll nab a few of those myself! Another suggestion- take your drink with you to the bathroom then tip it down the loo, people will assume you have drank it Grin If anyone asks if you fancy a fag tell them you've just been for one. Once everyone is pissed they won't realise that you're not drunk too!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 11/06/2012 23:05

Thanks for the clothing pointers! Since my cramping has eased up a bit I seem to be sleeping better, I've been back at work so unable to take afternoon naps, think that's helping. I am still waking up at least twice a night and go to loo at least once, think that'll just get worse too Sad

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 23:06

I could just hold one and wave it around. Im sure people wont notice once they have had a few... hopefully.

QueenOfTheDrama · 11/06/2012 23:07

egg I can't sleep either even though I'm knackered- far too much buzzing round my head!

slightly someone at work today said their sister found out she was pg over the weekend, I almost said "me too!!" Grin

QueenOfTheDrama · 11/06/2012 23:09

pickle also you could take little mini sips of the drink, but not actually swallow it if you know what I mean? It'll look like you're drinking until you can ditch the drink!

I've thought about this far too much haven't I?! Blush

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 23:20

Yeah my bf loves a drink so he will be a good human Hoover!

BabylannShallFall · 11/06/2012 23:23

I never wore maternity trousers, just normal leggings which I'd wear under the bump. Probably not possible this time as I'm still not comfortable with clothes so close to CS scar over 2 years later!

We are all very lucky to be able to have winter 3rd trimesters though. You might not even need maternity wear, can just go and buy some massive jumpers from charity shops to save money!

I wouldn't worry too much about a 9 week bump. Maybe just get it one size bigger just in case, or shop for it a week beforehand. I didn't get any form of bump until 4 months first time round, and it didn't even look like a proper bump until 6-7 months.

Swanlike · 12/06/2012 00:36

Hello, I just had a positive test last week too and it'll be 6 weeks tomorrow. It wasn't planned but because of my age (41) I've decided to go for it. Scared and excited at the as it's my first time.. My boyfriend is thrilled too. Just feel tired so far and had to go out and buy some bigger non-underwired bras at the weekend. Got my first doctor's appointment tomorrow. What do they do to you/ask? I'm really trying to hold off from telling anyone apart from medical professionals until it's a bit further along due to the risks associated with my age, but I'm finding it really hard. When are people planning to say something? I want to hold out until 12 weeks, but not sure that I will be able to.

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 12/06/2012 06:10

So I didn't fall asleep til nearly one o'clock, and DH's alarm has been going off and he is in the shower. So annoyed. I won't be able to go hack to sleep now and I only had a few hours the night before

This is what I will look like at work today Confused

Stupid men. Really could give him a good hormonal punch

eggandbean · 12/06/2012 06:29

cheese - feel your pain. This is entirely my fault but I set my alarm 30 mins earlier than I needed to this morning, thinking I had a physio appt at 8am and then remembered in the shower it's not until 8.30am, argh! Your DH deserves whatever he gets though for that, tut tut Shock

swan - welcome! Many of us feel the same here and I for one am definitely both scared and excited (my 1st too). I'm going to hold out until 12 weeks before telling people too (apart from DH, my physio and my running coach) but it seems to vary on here, some people have told parents or close friends, some have let the world know already as they can't hold it in... I've got 2 weeks to wait til my first midwife appointment (don't think I get to see a doctor) so no idea what they ask you. Good luck! :)

QueenOfTheDrama · 12/06/2012 06:45

cheese my DH does the alarm thing too, so annoying isn't it!! Angry

Welcome swan and big congrats! This is my first baby too, have only told a couple of close friends so far and will tell my parents soon too but going to try to keep it to that until 12wks. Although I'm very excited I'm also scared, it's normal to feel this way I think! Stick around- as egg says, we're all in the same boat Smile

Pinkie29 · 12/06/2012 07:32

Bad night Sad woke up about 3am with terrible cramp right in the middle of my womb, lasted about ten minutes but it was really bad, no bleeding but just felt like it was over Sad today's the first day in ages I've not woken up starving hungry hoping everything's ok down there

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 12/06/2012 08:50

Pinkie try not to worry too much. All the symptoms come and go see how you feel later. If its painful no harm in calling dr?

cheese dp does this to me every morning! Ds up early today as well in a grump think I got about 6 hours. I don't feel hungry at all just sick.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 12/06/2012 08:54

God im only four weeks! Wish I hadn't tested so early now!

QueenOfTheDrama · 12/06/2012 08:56

Haha me too pickle 4 weeks seems like nothing doesn't it!

pinkie I keep going between being starving and having no appetite. Pregnancy has turned me into a crank Grin

Pinkie29 · 12/06/2012 09:14

Is fine now just scared me a bit, I should probably add at this point (this will sound weird) when I'd woke up I'd just had an orgasm Blush it happens in my sleep occasionally and ill be dreaming about something random like shopping or cars?! So I was ahem still 'throbbing' whilst in pain! Blush any thoughts? I then had a fairly sizeable bowl movement... Far tmi there sorry! hope no-ones eating breakfast!!

QueenOfTheDrama · 12/06/2012 09:18

Sorry pinkie no advice to give but the thought of an orgasm making you poo did make me laugh! Sorry, I do know you're in pain! Blush I haven't had an action since before I got my bfp so I'm just jealous! Grin
