Thought I'd get the ball rolling as I know there have been some BFPs in the last few days on here.....

Just got a confirmatory BFP on a clear blue. This will be DC2, DC1 will be two in two weeks!

So grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the vino soft drinks on offer.

Ps is it really bad that I am craving a jug of Pimm's?!

I too am bloated and my uniform is getting tight for work, has anyone started looking at Maternity wear yet, or is it just me!?

Pinkie29 · 11/06/2012 20:01

pom that's ace about your dentist! I have an appointment in the next month or so so will be me mentioning that! Also be a good idea to get any other work done Smile

flying I had terrible wind today!! Luckily I'm in a quiet corner of the office and cab keep them quiet and thank god they didn't stink Smile

It was my first day back at work today and I feel like I've got a little secret all of my own Smile felt slightly queasy this afternoon and smelt toast cooking from miles away! 5 weeks today and read morning sickness can start at any time!

Very tired today and some mild cramping, boobs sure and huge Grin

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 20:05

Im glad we are in summer Im going to wear a lot of smocky things. I wont bother getting proper stuff until winter. I only have work things, I just sat around in joggers at home so I might get some jeans.

I think you show a lot sooner on your 2nd as your already a bit baggy n stretched from number one.

I literally only just started being able to wear nice jeans without too much of a muffin top! Ah well!

The one thing I like about being pg is being able to let it all hang out!

BeanDunne · 11/06/2012 20:37

babylann crying infront of therapist is ok... crying infront of you manager at least twice in the space of 2 hours not so much.

I am so worried about my belly i have a wedding dress to fit into in 7 weeks. looking at my belly now i could be 3 months gone :(

I have loads of impulse buy dresses that were to big that will now fit soon. wooooo

Pinkie29 · 11/06/2012 20:52

I'm looking forward to winter being able to hide under nice big snuggly jumpers and coats! Always said to dp I'd want my 3rd trimester to be in the winter Smile

CrazySexyCool123 · 11/06/2012 21:07

Hi all!

I've been watching the conception threads for a couple of months and just when I think I'll contribute I get a bfp! After reading them I consider myself very lucky to have got pregnant pretty much straight away. It's embarrassing how little I knew about conception and pregnancy before this.

I'm 26, 4+6 and if all goes to plan I have a due date of 12/02/13. I haven't had any sickness/ nausea yet but I'm really feeling the tiredness, sore boobs and major gas! Has anyone else been experiencing any dizziness? I've not read anything to say that it's a symptom of early pregnancy but i've been experiencing this a lot this week. Confused

BeanDunne · 11/06/2012 21:16

Hi crazy welcome

dizzyness is a symptom so i have heard and its not the nicest symptom esp if your feeling sick already

QueenOfTheDrama · 11/06/2012 21:18

pinkie I was thinking the same thing - can't wait to get all snuggly with my bump in the winter Smile and its not going to be boiling hot when I'm massive! And I get to take spring and summer off work and go on lovely walks in the sunshine with the baby. February is going to be an awesome month to have a baby Grin

bean congrats on the upcoming wedding! Can you speak to the dress shop to see if the dress can be altered slightly just in case?

I'm sure I feel a bit bloated today too and my boobs seem to have gone up a cup size overnight! Not complaining about that but they are so sore!

Had forgotton about free dental care - bonus!

Hi crazy and welcome! I'm sure I've read about dizziness so pretty sure its normal Smile

rogersmellyonthetelly · 11/06/2012 21:19

Maternity jeans are my clothing of preference at the moment, not 5 weeks yet but my stomach pretty much said. "oh bloody hell not again " and threw the towel in. This is baby no 3 though so Im already thoroughly pre stretched. Also have a nasty case of Ivf bloat which is adding to my figure making me look bigger than my sister who is 20 weeks with her first.

Pinkie29 · 11/06/2012 21:26

Welcome crazy and congrats!

I've had a couple of dizzy moments usually when I've stood too quick and walked off! Felt slightly queasy a few times since sat but not actually thrown up yet, the tiredness is the worst thing for me atm, I'm 5 weeks today

Mamabelle · 11/06/2012 21:32

Hi Crazy, welcome and congrats on your BFP.

I've been feeling very lightheaded/dizzy too, as if I haven't had enough to eat, though no fear of that as I've been eating practically non-stop for two weeks. So much for only needing an extra slice of toast a day, or whatever the 'experts' say.

Sainsbury's had some good smocky type t-shirts for £6, so I bought a job-lot for work. I never actually stopped wearing my maternity trousers from first time round, they are so comfy, so luckily I can get away with it without raising any suspecting eyebrows Grin.

Pinkie it will be nice to snuggle up in big comfy jumpers, but I'm certainly not looking forward to getting up in the freezing cold winter nights for feeds :/ Maybe I'll invest in one of those person-shaped sleeping bags that they had on The Apprentice a few years back!

mrsfleur · 11/06/2012 21:33

d30 and flyingsub thanks for the flight advice - I think I'm just worrying because it'll be 9 weeks which is when I had MC last year. Need to stop making connections that aren't there!
pickle your comment about 'boobs going renegade' made me snort like a pig! That's exactly what mine are doing!
DH cut his finger today at work and needed stitches - I'm sure it's elaborate ploy to get attention as I've been moaning about renegade boobs and cramps!

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 11/06/2012 21:36

Congrats Crazy - same edd as me!

And Congrats and welcome to anyone I've missed joining today (using phone app so not so easy)

Rogers - glad it's not just me here with the ivf feeling, I put on prob half a stone through the process as did not feel like moving much, now the progesterone bloats even more! Am starting to feel healed from the EC now though. Are you a possible multiple?
SBC x

LilyRosa · 11/06/2012 21:45

Hello! this is my second mumsnet post and am v excited.

I got my BFP on saturday, this is my first pregnancy, and according to the due date calculator am due 12 February 2013!

Am very very excited and am having great touble not telling anyone. Have made docs apt for Thursday which doesnt really seem very real.

Am already feeling very sick and nauseaus though havn't been sick yet. Also so tired already.

I saw the thread about maternity wear - can anone recommend where to get maternity jeans from?

X

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 11/06/2012 21:57

Next do lots of maternity jeans, also try top shop. I got my pair last time from mothercare, cheap and cheerful but lasted me the whole pregnancy no probs.

SlightlyBabyCrazed · 11/06/2012 22:02

Hi lily- congratulations! You share an edd with me and Crazy!
'tis very exciting!

orangewellies · 11/06/2012 22:02

Evening all, just wondering - am I the only one who's boobs have not gone crazy? - they're not sore and they're the same size as always (which is not fair as i could do with some extra hormone-induced boobage!). I do have other symptoms (soooo tired, nauseous, sense of smell gone mad...) just not that one.

Mamabelle · 11/06/2012 22:05

Welcome LilyRosa congratulations!

Morning sickness sucks doesn't it? I think mostly though you'll get to work out your own coping strategy with it, what helps, and what doesn't that sort of thing.

You can get maternity jeans from lots of high street shops: Top Shop, H&M, Next, M&S and lots more besides. It's probably good to look around and see what you find most comfortable, some people (like me) prefer the 'over the bump' type, or you can get under the bump, ones with adjustable straps etc. There's a whole bunch of things available to buy that I didn't know existed before being pregnant!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 22:09

I got a nice pair from Gap, and some skinny ones from TopShop.

Hopefully they will see me through now. I just wore a lot of vests with cardis over the top.

My knockers are mad. Madness. I cant believe how mad they go, but that's the only symptom I ever get!

orangewellies · 11/06/2012 22:16

re maternity jeans - i found the 'under the bump' ones good for the smaller bump but the 'over the bump' ones good for the last months - and they have the bonus of being snuggly warm in winter too! Guess it might depend on the size and shape of your bump though.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 22:19

I had over the bump work trews for the winter, they were lush!

Im self employed now so I can dress like I want. I`ll just wear lovely joggers in the house I think.

Im really crampy tonight. I feel like Im expanding.

SBC I have no real reason for it, but Ive had a twin feeling for a while. And my tests were awfully dark awfully quickly. Hmmmmmm.

QueenOfTheDrama · 11/06/2012 22:24

Twins run in my family and I was wondering about the possibility of having more than one after testing positive from 9dpo - did anyone else get their bfp that early?

Great to hear the maternity wear advice. Does anyone have any experience of maternity leggings or tights? I was thinking of wearing stuff like that under a loose dress or tunic when the weather goes colder.

eggandbean · 11/06/2012 22:28

Wow - I didn't even know you could get over or under the bump jeans - I suddenly feel really naive about all this kind of thing too! I've not looked at maternity clothes yet but did buy 2 summer 'bump concealing' tops today.

Pinkie - I've had lots of dizzy moments / head rushes too. For the first time tonight I think I was very nearly sick too, only just managed to keep it down, yuk.

BeanDunne · 11/06/2012 22:34

I got mine at 10dpo queen

Im going for my final fitting next month so i hope all is ok.. i bought my dress in England so it wont be so easy to get it fixed. my sis will bring it over when she comes over for the wedding. I do make things difficult dont i ha ha.

my boobs have gone mad as has my sense of smell. im convinced i can smell wee in my house which is not good and its really strong but dp cant smell it. im wondering did the dog do a sneaky pee on the rug and i can only smell it now i have super nose.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 22:39

Thats funny bean, I dont think I have super nose. I could smell poo in the garden today but I think it came from the drains. Shame we cant pick up nice things with supernose!

Topshop do lovely maternity leggings Queen you can hoik them right over your bump Simon Cowell style and they are nice quality.

Its better to look online they normally have nicer stuff, the shops only seem to have a tiny few things.
