Thought I'd get the ball rolling as I know there have been some BFPs in the last few days on here.....

Just got a confirmatory BFP on a clear blue. This will be DC2, DC1 will be two in two weeks!

So grab a seat, buckle up and enjoy the vino soft drinks on offer.

Ps is it really bad that I am craving a jug of Pimm's?!

I can't think of anything sbc. The midwife will go through a big questionnaire with you when I had first they came to the home, but the drs appointment was very disappointing. I said I'm pregnant and he said oh, was it planned? That was about it!

orangewellies · 11/06/2012 08:58

Hello all, I'd like to join too please! Got BFP last week and am due Feb 15th apparently! So excited but nervous too like everyone else! Don't remember being this paranoid about things going wrong the last times. Have got mild nausea and a few cramps so far. Nausea disappeared yesterday and so of course i panicked all day. Its back now though (never thought i'd be glad to feel sick!)

I have 2 DCs (4 and 23months) and am already wondering how i'll cope with another! I guess I should ring docs today to try and get an appoint ment.

Haven't told anyone else yet (apart from DH obv) and won't for a while, so its great to be able to talk about it on here and so nice to hear about others going through the same worries and emotions!

QueenOfTheDrama · 11/06/2012 10:30

Welcome orange and bean and congrats to both of you Smile

Can't really think of any questions for doctor, anything I'm worrying about so far has been answered by the MN ladies! Grin

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 11:08

Made a Drs appointment for 19th June, when all he will say is Riiiiight, pregnant are we. I`ll tell the midwife. Annoying but I have to go!

QueenOfTheDrama · 11/06/2012 11:14

How many weeks will you be then pickle? I definitely can't ring today- work is busy so no chance of sloping off to use the phone in private! Grin

BeanDunne · 11/06/2012 11:15

My symptoms seemed to show up instantly... iv been an emotional mess (more so than usual) iv been so tired i could sleep all the time if i tired, boobies have been a no go area as they hurt like hell and this morning any time i coughed it made me heave.

i worked it out that ill be due the 22nd which is when my niece was due (feb just gone)

Anything else you want to know???

i wouldn't have a clue about doctor questions. sorry but i just ask mn :)

PomBears · 11/06/2012 11:25

Hi all, i am currently pregnant with my DC2, currently have a DD who is 2.5yrs. I think i am about 6 wks however as i got pregnant on my 2nd cycle after coming off the pill im not entirely sure??
Have just been to my doctor's to register and will hopefully get my booking in appt soon.
I had forgotten how worrying this time can be, ended up caving in at 9 wks with DD and paid for an early private scan just to put my mind at rest. Promised DH i would be more relaxed this time round but so far that's not working out, thought maybe i could offload to you instead so i can keep up the act!
Am usually a positive laid back person but not when it comes to pregnancy (am also a control freak so maybe it's that side of things i find hard to deal with!)
Anyway, enough rambling, thrilled to have someone to share the ride with!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 11/06/2012 11:27

Had my booking in appointment with the MW arranged for tomorrow, but just moved it back two weeks, am only 6 weeks at the moment so a tad early methinks. Trying to do some maternity 'admin' at work at the moment ie work out when my maternity pay will be calculated from, as I am supposed to be increasing my hours around now....

Otherwise, feeling fine. Sad

Hi queen only 5/6 weeks but that's just to pass my details into midwife, so expect that will take a few weeks more!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 11:32

Early scans are soooooo tempting!! I think they are worth it if your really worried.

I got my bfp so early. Digi saying 2/3 weeks now. Ive convinced myself there are two of them!!

cheeseandmushroomtoastie · 11/06/2012 11:41

Can't wait to get the list started with everyone's EDD on. Got a feeling a lot of us will share due dates......

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 11:43

Yes! What's yours? I was about 2 weeks after you wasn't I??

MustBeDueSomeBetterFeet · 11/06/2012 13:12

Hello - I'd like to join too please?

Did do cheapies yesterday which were positive, and one CB digital which confirmed it today!

Due 14 February 2013 - like quite a few of you.

Not really any symptoms so far - some tingly boobs, and having some problems sleeping but think that's more all the random thoughts I'm having!!

I haven't got a GP at the moment as recently moved so that is my new focus. Plus what to eat/not eat - but having a chicken salad sandwich today for lunch and some carrot sticks - must be good!

Any good book recommendations welcome - I am currently reading the new Pregnancy Bible which is really good.

QueenOfTheDrama · 11/06/2012 13:25

Omg pickle me too- first tested at 9dpo and got faint line then bfp on digi the next day. Im still 2 days prior to af due date! I would probably faint if I was told it was twins!! Smile

Welcome other newbies Smile

Never heard of pregnancy bible but will check it out, thanks Smile

orangewellies · 11/06/2012 13:25

Hello mustbe, re books - I have 'what to expect when you're expecting' which I think is really good - it is non-judgemental and just gives facts which I like.

I just downloaded the what to expect app too after the tip on this thread which is great - also have the babycentre one. What with those, MN and various other sites, I'm spending far too much time obsessing reading about my stage in pregnancy! I should probably go and do something productive...

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 13:31

My AF is due today! Lets hope it stays away.

Pinkie29 · 11/06/2012 13:54

I want an early scan, dp says no... Is it bad of me to be thinking of going without him?!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 14:09

Yeah! A bit. I'm sure you can talk him around by acting bonkers for a few days!!

Pinkie29 · 11/06/2012 14:25

Good plan!! I just don't know how I'll manage 7 weeks!! I should be able to convince him hopefully!

ladamanera · 11/06/2012 14:42

hello. Im not sure of the acronyms yet but this is my first baby, DD 11 February - Im 5 weeks - have endoemtriosis, fibroids in my womb and had quite heavy cramping last week so very nervous - know its incredibly early and there's nothing anyone can do but am continuously googling things as they occur to me - as if googling is going to make sure my baby is healthy!

Dont quite know how to sit out the weeks till 12 weeks and can tell people - they are going to go very slowly without wine!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 15:04

TO be honest, I was put off by it needing to be a vag-cam. I think up to at least 7/8 weeks it needs to be vag cam. Then it wasnt that long until the proper scan.

Hi lada! This is my second so boozing is a bit of a distant memory!

perfectshadeofgrey · 11/06/2012 15:44

Wow a lot of new people since the last time I was here. Hello everyone and congratulations.
I've just been for lunch with a client in a posh restaurant and you wouldn't believe how difficult it was to order something that's safe in pregnancy. It was all fois gras, oysters, prawns, parma and a lot of other stuff I had no idea what it meant. So I just got chicken. I also nursed tiny bit of wine (hardly touched it) and made excuses about picking up my DD from the nursery later. But really I just wanted to drink the whole bottle in one huge gulp.

Pinkie29 · 11/06/2012 16:17

Yeah i read that too pickles, I think I'll ring the local hospital and just ask if they offer them and go from there, might feel a bit more patient after my me app next week

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 11/06/2012 16:19

There is a private one if you google private scans which are £99 ish. But what put me off was the vag (which I would be dreading so much wouldn't have been a nice experience) and also that you cant really see a lot.

QueenOfTheDrama · 11/06/2012 16:41

Oh I wouldn't fancy the vag-cam either Confused I have however seen private gender scans which are done at 16wks - thinking of doing that! I'm just far too impatient, its going to cause some arguments I think as DH doesn't want to know the sex until the birth!

Well done on getting through lunch without slipping up perfect Grin

Welcome lada
