Hi all hope you all have a nice sunday and much good luck to poppy h for tomorrow!

Still nothing happening here....edd is tomorrow, so looks like so far, my buying a live present for Gran hasn't worked ah well...

Marne · 26/02/2006 10:33

Been up all night with what i thought was contractions, woke dh up at 1am, sat and waited, contractions 12 min apart but not very strong, 2.30am went back to bed as pains were not geting any closer or anymore painfull, fell asleep by 3.30am, woke up this morning still having pains but not as painfull and now i'm so tierd. I dont know whats going on, am i going in to labour or is it braxton hicks?
Dh has gone to pick up step kids, lets hope its nothing, im to tierd to give birth and its too early. Im going to go and have a long soak in the bath and hope it makes me feal better ,at the moment a feel realy sick.

RosiePosie · 26/02/2006 10:48

Aw, sounds like you're having a rough time Marne - I hope you manage to get some rest today.

Friz, was your dd overdue? I was sure my second would come earlier, but she didn't - both were 8 days late. I've a feeling this one might be on its way in the next few days. (TMI) My bowels are continuing to keep themselves clear , I've been feeling nauseous the last couple of days and I think I might be having the start of a show. I had a continuous three day one last time ( with leaking waters, which at the time I didn't realise ) - so we'll see. MIL has booked herself into a local holiday park around the corner on Tuesday for a week, so it would be handy if baby stays put until then, as there is no one on the island to have the kids at short notice otherwise!

Poor munz, sounds like she's having a hard time - I hope she's managing to get some rest in hospital and is back home really soon with her gorgeous little boy!

majormoo · 26/02/2006 10:56

Wanted to pop on and wish you all luck. I was on your thread last year for a while and have been thinking of you this week.

Munz congratulations. Hope you are out of hospital and feeling better soon. I had a look through this thread and I thought it was really sweet you had included those of us on your stats list who didn't make it all the way.

Good luck everybody!

Frizbetheexpansionset · 26/02/2006 12:23

News from TIL's labour thread, she's had a little girl, Sat am, but that's all that's on there, so hope they're both ok

Thanks marjamoo

RP I was 5 days late with dd, again she was due on the monday, popped the following Sat am, so now resigned to the same if not longer, argh!

Marne, does sound like you could be in slow labour hon, have you gotten midwife to check you out just in case, how long do you have the step kids for? Would have been nice for bump to pop this weekend whilst ss is down with us, but so far not looking that way.....

coppertop · 26/02/2006 13:20

I missed the news about Munz being poorly. I hope she's on her way to feeling better soon. xx

Congratulations to TIL.

I'm now just over 36 weeks. Poor dh goes into a panic every time I phone his mobile because he thinks I've gone into labour or something. If only.....

During the last 2 pregnancies I was the queen of insomnia. This time around I can't seem to keep my eyes open - not a good thing when you have a 3yr-old on the loose.

Happy birthday to IG's dd. I hope she had/is having a brilliant day.

romilly · 26/02/2006 15:28

poppyh - all the best for tomorrow hun

marne - anything else happening there? sounds like you may beat friz to it! you are quite early though eh?

spiker - congrats on exchange - funny that, i exchanged contracts on friday too good luck with the move.

wonder how munz is today? anyone heard?

special hello to majormoo - hope everything is going well for you.

vickiyumyum · 26/02/2006 15:34

ha! got dh to sleep on the sofa for the last 2 nights, friday night was lovely, fell asleep about 11pm and didn't wake up until 9.30!!! last night was going well, i fell asleep again about 11 but was woken up at 1.30 by a digger in the street! apparently some of the houses on our otherwise quiet street had had a powercut and because if it goes over so many hours the company have to give each householder compensation they decided to send a digger and a jack hammer out to a quiet residential area at 1.30 in the morning, sent dh out to complain, but apparantly not a lot they could do ' only doing my job mate!' they eventually stopped at just after 3 and i managed to get back to sleep until 10a.m, then left dh asleep on the sofa while me and the kids walked to asda (ten minutes away) seemed like a good idea, forgot about ahving to carry the shopping home, only the sunday papers, milk, crisps for packed lunches and some veges, but coming home took three times as long as walking there had to keep stopping as was having terrible bh's. dh went mad when i got home, said i should have taken the car, but sometimes you just forget don't you?

anyway all is fine, can't wait for teh kids to be back at school/nursery tomorrow after being off with that bug thats going around so will get a couple of hours peace and quiet.

munzd til have popped them out, poppyh tomorrow, and looks like marne won't have much longer to wait, hopefully little one can wait until you get to 37 weeks as then you will be classed as 'term'. good luck to you all, should find out tomorrow or tuesday if they are planning on bringing my c/s forward or not, because of the unstable blood sugars.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 26/02/2006 15:49

Further update....

Munz and Joey should have been home today, however Joey is still Jaundiced so they have put him in an incubator with UV light for 24 hours.

Hoping for them to be home tomorrow.

They have had a rough ride, but fingers crossed things will get better.

Marne · 26/02/2006 17:09

Nothing much happening here, still having twinges but slowed right down, step kids have gone home now so i will try and get some rest, might phone the midwife tomorow to get checked out, i hope i'm not going to have a slow labour, dd only took 8 hours so i thought this one would be more like 4 hours. It feels like i might have a stomache bug as i feel sick etc.. (wont go in to detail)but i suppose that could be a sign of labour, also had what looked like a show last night but not sure as i have had bleeding before.

Munz, hope to see you back on here soon, lets hope you are home tomorow.

i will be 37 weeks on tuesday so keeping my legs crossed till then, if i go by my dates (not the scan dates) then i am 38 weeks, maybe they have got the dates wrong they did last time and my last scan showed the baby was big. Knowing my luck i will still be sat here in april waiting for baby

Astrophe · 26/02/2006 18:03

Hi girls...been a chatty weekend huh? We have had a quiet one...DH, DD and me all sick with colds and DD has canines coming out as well, so we are not getting much sleep at the mo. DH is normally wonderful, but such a baby when hes sick...and he can take cold and flu tablets but not me and bub!

Any further action Marne?

Am also having so many BHs and feeling sicky, but could just be a bug. Sciatic and PSD pain just keeps getting worse...thought it wouldn't as aren't the babies supposed to stop putting on weight after 38 weeks? Moan, moan, moan...sorry everyone but its good to get it off my chest. It frustrating to think I could pop any day now, or it could go on for another 3 weeks...am getting a tad emotional here

Lets hope we all have slightly early or on-time babies...sounds like we are all feeling ready (or past it!).

PH - best wishes for tomorrow - how exciting to be meeting your little one!

zephyrcat · 26/02/2006 18:21

All these babies!!!! Congratulations everyone - the March girls seem to be on a roll now! Good luck for tomorrow Poppy - I bet you can't wait!!

Frizbetheexpansionset · 26/02/2006 20:51

Vyy digger at 1.30am, ffs, stupid company!

Marne, good luck if you do kick off tonight hon, certainly sounds that way, like you say your dates could be out by a week sure your bubba will be fine either way.

Still nothing happening here, edd tomorrow, oh how I'm hoping I wake at 3am with contractions

poppyh · 26/02/2006 21:01

Just to say thanks for all your warm wishes.[emotion for petrified!!!]
Just wanted to wish you all well and hope by the time I check this thread out there are a few more babies in the world.Good luck everyone.xxx
Friz, am hoping to have news of your birth by time i come back!!
Munz, hope you and Joey are doing ok hun.
Try and be back Thursday to catch up.
Poppy

Cadmum · 26/02/2006 21:10

Hello all! Sorry, i seldom have time to post or catch up on the latest from this thread...

I have still not been induced yet but baby is being monitered closely for any signs of unhappiness. My parents arrive on Wednesay so that means I will have had two nights of proper sleep on a real bed by then as furniture arrives tomorrow. I may only get out of bed for long enough to make my way to the sofa for a few hours a day until they arrive. How I wish!!!! We still have lots to do to prepare for the LO's arrival. Don't even have a car seat yet and the fridge/freezer is empty. Thank goodness it is pay-day on Tuesday.

I sure hope that Munz is back to her healthy/chatty self shortly and that Joseph is looking a lighter shade of yellow. Having a jaundiced baby makes establishing breast feeding a real challenge. (I am dreading that part myself as all three of ours have been jaundiced and the medical community were convinced that formula was the only way forward. Thankfully, I knew that they were mistaken and I am prepared for the same battle again.)

Hope you are all well. It is so exciting reading about labour and suspected labour now that we are all nearly due.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 27/02/2006 08:21

Cadmum have left you a message on the beanie thread!

Poppy H todays your day

Well girls, I'm still here, Happy due date to me......eh well eh.........another lazy baby seems I like to cook 'em well.......so if things go the same as last time, I have another week of cleaning and twiddling my thumbs......gaw'd I'm so gonna need that glass of wine..........and that big hunk of stilton....mmmmm......

Hope your all well?

Marne any news?

RosiePosie · 27/02/2006 09:03

Good luck Poppyh!

I'm due tommorrow, feeling really nauseous this morning - that's normal in late pregnancy isn't it??

Marne · 27/02/2006 09:13

Good morning, evrything has stoped here, looks like i have been having braxton hicks, feeling realy pissed off, would realy like baby to come today even though i'm dreding giving birth again.

Good luck poppyh,

Cadmum · 27/02/2006 12:07

Thinking of you Poppy H.

Rosie Posie: I sure hope that you don't have the tummy bug that has been talked about here. A friend's wife (who was 7 months pregnant) needed to have IV fluids she was so dehydrated.

Marne: How frustrating!

Romilly: Has your LO shifted? I haven't heard back from my friend in SA... Wish I hadn't left it so long but without the internet for so long... FWIW my little LO is content face up as well. ARGH! Can't bear the thougth of induction with a posterior baby either. Poor us (if I may).

After another sleepless night (THAT seems normal for late pregnancy, doesn't it?!?), I am flat out exhausted but looking ever so forward to a real bed to sleep on tonight.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 27/02/2006 12:52

RP I've been feeling a bit sicky on and off, so sure its a pretty normal thing towards the end....

Cadmum has your furniture arrived yet Grin

expressmummy · 27/02/2006 14:27

h iall ive not posted in a long time due to illness but little jsoeph was born on the 18th feb not due until 11th march but he is lovely weighing a healthy 6lb 3ozs

Marne · 27/02/2006 14:43

congratulations expressmummy and welcome to baby Jsoeph.

Cadmum · 27/02/2006 14:48

CONGRATULATIONS Expressmummy! Wow that was early indeed. Have you posted and annoucement? Do we get to read all of the details? Welcome to the world Joseph.

Friz: Our estimated delivery time for furniture is between 12:00 and 15:00 so I have a few hours yet to wait. The good thing is that is will give me the chance to think about what is going where and to clear away some of the dust and toys. I hope you kick-off soon! Perhaps after your birthday celebration?

RP and Friz: sorry that you are not feeling well. I don't recall having felt sick at the end of any of my pregnancies but then again with suck ickle babies I don't usually even feel uncomfortable....

Is anyone else getting twinges?

Rom: are you out there? Is there a date in mind for your induction?

catj · 27/02/2006 14:54

Congrats expressmummy!

Cadmum-I'm not due for another 3 weeks but I've been twinging on and off for the past 2/3 weeks ever since I had a d&v bug. In some ways I don't mind if it comes now but we're still not totally organised so it might be better if it waits a little bit longer :)

Jackstini · 27/02/2006 14:57

Express Mummy - congrats on little Joseph's arrival - bet you are so pleased. How are you settling in together?
Friz - you hang on in there - can't possibly be much longer now Grin
You too Marne - sorry it seems was all BH - maybe the real labour will still be nice and short for you!
TIL - will go and find your thread - congrats on your little girl!
Spiker - you are so brave moving house 2 weeks before d-day - don't you be doing to much packing
Munz - hope you are home soon - looking forward to hearing how you 3 are all getting on
Am feeling achy today - was bliss getting in the pool for aquanatal this morning but didn't want to get out at all. Hopefully only 3 more weeks to go....
