CadDad · 05/03/2006 18:22

Hello Mumsnutters...

Cadmum is ready to come home so I better get on with all the chores, including posting the fact that our newest arrival has indeed arrived. Charlie was born Saturday at 1247 AM, so thankfully doesn't share a BD with DD. Weighed in at 6lb 13oz/3090g...so much for IUGR and the need for induction!!!!!!!!!!
Cadmum is fine, if a little livid about having to stay in the Horror-spital, but I'll not spoil her fun. She'll no doubt regale you with all the details as soon as she is back. Best of luck to all of you who are waiting!

laundrylover · 05/03/2006 19:35

Well done to Cadmum, Rosie Posie and Frizbe!!! Wow, March is getting off to flying start eh??
All sound like nice size babies and lovely names, oooohhhh, who'll be next????Smile

InternationalGirl · 05/03/2006 19:37

Congratulations to Rosieposie family and Cad family and welcome to Matthew and Charlie.

Mums get some rest and we look forward to your stories when you are up to it. Smile

laundrylover · 05/03/2006 19:37

Sorry just realised that this little annoucement was on Feb thread so for those who didn't see it....

Neve born today . 10.58am, 8lbs 11oz, pool and gas & air... no tears or anything!

From Flame about Frizbe on Saturday!!!

laundrylover · 05/03/2006 19:38

By the way, I'll try to update the stats tomorrow but feel free to do so anyone else in the meantime.....

munz · 05/03/2006 19:51

OP posts:
laundrylover · 05/03/2006 20:04

Blinkin' eck Munz, don't worry about the stats!! How you going? It's tough eh but it does get better (she says after a day of wet knickers and tantrums!!)!
Oh they were from Tilly not me by the way!

oneofeach · 05/03/2006 20:07

Big congratulations to everyone who has had their lovely babies. I am very envious, due tomorrow but no signs of anything happening yet!

newgirl · 05/03/2006 20:12

WOW!!! Congratulations to Rosieposie, friz, poppyh and cadmum!!!! What a bonanza of babies! And so quick - well done you clever things!

I think I might read the birth stories after mine if you don't mind - I'm getting a bit freaked now!

Hello Neve, Charlie and Matthew! Lovely names, am thinking of matthew myself too!

Astrophe · 05/03/2006 21:00

Wow - you go away from the computer for one day and three babies are born!

Congratulations Mums and welcome to Charlie, Matthew and Neve

  • I hope you are all going well with your new little ones and that feeding and sleeping are as good as can be after only 1 day. Best wishes :o

Its my due date today and I thought for a while I was going to be one of that small percentage of lucky people whose bubs actually come on the due date...but doesn't seem likely now, unless its a frighteninly quick labour! Have been having mild, regular contractions all arvo but they could be BH. Hopefully they will develop into the real thing - I will be very frustrated if not!

helencook2711 · 05/03/2006 21:10

Hello everyone and congrats on all those recent deliveries! I'm new to this, you all sound like one big happy family and don't want to intrude! I'm due 23rd March have one DD aged 22 months. Don't know what flavour this one is. Planned home delivery, bad SPD, and strong desire to clean/nest, DH is away snowboarding till tommorrow, so can't come in the slightest bit early!

Frizbe · 05/03/2006 21:54

Hi all have just grabbed 5 secs from a feeding frenzy to pop on and say Hi!! Grin so you've gathered Neve popped out on Saturday then Grin and ouch! managed with just the pool (highly recommend) and gas n air for the pushing bit....ouch, will post proper birth details tomorrow, as being cried at again for more of something?? Grin

poppyh · 05/03/2006 22:18

Wow, Friz,Well done!!And welcome little NeveGrin
look forward to reading birth annoucement!!

laundrylover · 05/03/2006 22:39

Friz you did really well with just the G and A. Remember now your boobs are no longer your own and Neve will rule over them! Looking forward to full details....
My pool has been filling for the last hour and a half so may get a dip before bed!
Welcome to Helen - feel free to intrude all you like and fingers crossed for your HB. There's a few of us planning HBs and so far RP got hers and Friz didn't but still got pool.SmileI think this is right...
Astrophe, you've got to get a wriggle on to hit that due date girl! Keep us updated...

Dene · 05/03/2006 23:12

Hi All
I was on the March thread earlier in my pregnancy but haven't posted in ages - I do pop on though to see how everybody is doing. It is great news to hear that so many babies have been born already - congratulations to you all!!!

My due date is tomorrow although there are no signs of anything happening yet! I did go into labour on my due date with DS1 but surely I wont be so lucky twice!!

Good luck to everybody and I hope to hear about lots more March births over the next few days and weeks.

InternationalGirl · 06/03/2006 06:26

Congratulations Friz - well done and welcome to Neve Smile

Welcome Helen - no intrusion whatsoever - we are all in the same boat Grin It's great to have a place to come and share the good times and bad times as pregnancy and childbirth is such a rollercoaster. I can really sympathise with your SPD pain - I have been suffering too.

Dene - we haven't 'met' yet. I am due with my third bub March 25th - hoping he comes a little soooner though Grin. Good luck for tomorrow - you could be next on our birth stats - although I think we still have a Feb baby to arrive...

Marne · 06/03/2006 09:41

A big welcome to all the new babies, im so Envy

Had a night of bad back ache and twinges but all has come to a stop again, ate lots of pineapple yestaday but doesnt seem to be having any effect, looks like i will have to try sex tho i realy cant be botherd.

Going to have a day of rest today and let dh run around after me and dd.

Welcome helen.

Well im 38 weeks tomorow, midwifer seemed to think i wouldnt make it to my next check up which is on friday, lets hope somthing happens before then, dont think i can cope with 2 more weeks of bad back ache.

manicmumtobe · 06/03/2006 10:16

Oh my god so many new babies, congrats to you all and best wishes for those in the throes of labour/potential labour!!! Getting v nervous now, and continous sleep over an hour a thing of the past, re hip pain, restless feet and obviously a lump and a half..shame, was really enjoying my 10 hour sleep sessions last week:)
Thanks for tips re dogs will try them Jacks and Munz..mine a bulldog too so will let you know how it goes..sure bub will respond to dog commands more than the neighbours tune at this rate if it can hear as much as they say tucked away inside belly!
Bit Angry my hosp (chelmsford) has had a pool for months but no-one can use it re politics over who pays for the liner, seems shame we dont get a choice as pools seem to get a good review..oh well, enough to stress aboutGrin
Keeping fingers crossed for you all.

romilly · 06/03/2006 10:47

have posted my congrats to caddy and friz on other threads so wont go through it all again, but its so exciting to have all these new babies! Smile

welcome to the latecomers, and nice to see some old faces reappearing on this thread.

jackstini - thankyou for the encouragement, much appreciated. i had just about given up with the all fours (as my due date is 2 days away) but now you have inspired me to try again!

Frizbe · 06/03/2006 12:17

Hi all link to gory details here \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?rn=15867&topicid=1370&threadid=152540&redir=15867\birth} will check this has worked now!

Frizbe · 06/03/2006 12:24

Phew it did! right now to see how you all are!

Firstly Congrats to RP and Cadmum, Caddy see you beat me to it Grin, RP sorry I beat you to it! Grin
can't wait to hear your full details soon x

Marne hope you kick off soon hon, all those twinges must be dilating you Smile

Rom, keep going with the all fours hon, your baby will turn!

Hi to Dene again, if its any help Neve (dd2) was born the same day as dd1, which is either 5 days later on a 28 day count, or if you look at my cycle (32 days) both were bang on time!

LL your right my boobs have been given over! dd2 fed from 7pm-2am last night, clearing out the collustrum, my milk is finally in, and we both finally got to sleep at 2, argh! I now have ballons on my front Smile

Hi to Helencook! welcome to the thread Smile

Astrophe, any news?? hoping your in hospital having given birth now! or back at home relaxing - even better Smile hope Derby is as good for you as it was for me.

Zephyr good luck to dh for his 2nd interview, hope the SPD isn't too bad today?

Coppertop really hope no induction for you this time.

Intgirl, glad your dd had a great birthday Grin

Munz, Jackstini, Unisarah et all, how's things going??

Oh and can I just say, if your going in for your 2nd child or more, be prepared for those after pains, I'd read they could hurt, but ouch! MW says your ok taking ibrufoen for them tho, so don't forget it!

Astrophe · 06/03/2006 14:28

:( this is me today...terrible cold (still), no sleep last night and was just a false alarm last night despite hours of contraction :( Feeling very sorry for myself.

MW came today and I had to decide which date to take an induction from (5th or 10th) - I went for the 5th as am worried about placenta giving up if I wait too long, but now am worried I will be induced too early and for no good reason.

Anyway, boooked for a a sweep next MOnday...does it hurt? Not familiar to me as they don't do it in Aust as far as I know. And does it work?

UniSarah · 06/03/2006 17:32

Congrats to the new mums ! I'm trying not to be toooo impatient to join you. The boy WILL show up when HES ready :) hes just running on miller time like the rest of my family, we're never on time for anything.
Now 40+4 , bored, uncomfy, still not engaged as far as I know. Still getting the same sharp pains in pelvic area as have been getting for the last 2 weeks. BUT- today I acheieved, I finished the filing of the 2 ft high stack of time sheets that has been keeping me busy for a couple of hours a week at BTCV. ( Voluntry work).
Hoping for a sweep tomororow if things feel favourable. Going to Aquanatal first to exercise vigerously.
Had very nice chocolate dipping sauce with pineapple chunks for pud last evening, melt some good plain choc with a slug of single cream, stir. dip, enjoy. Pineapples for 1.30 at Tesco, I got another one today.
UniSarah

Jackstini · 06/03/2006 19:39

Friz & Cadmum - yea they have arrived! off to read your birth thread now Friz.
Astrophe - hoping you're next - you sound ready!
Welcome Helen & welcome back Dene
Manic - how annoying re pool Angry will they let you use it if you take/pay for your own liner? Know what you mean about the dog commands! Baby will understand 'sit' 'no' and 'give me a paw' very early on....
Unisarah - did my vigorous aqua natal this morning but still feel bloated and like nothing is moving down yet. Seeing mw tomorrow to see if the head is engaged in the slightest...
Hope to hear some of more babies popping out very soon - good luck everyone

catj · 06/03/2006 19:46

Wow-all these babies! :) Congratulations to you all. It still doesn't seem real that its "our turn". I'm getting impatient now and I'm not due til the end of the month! It doesn't help having 2 toddlers going stir crazy cos I don't feel like going out much. Dh is on holiday for two weeks so the pressure's off me now in that respect.Grin Looking forward to more birth announcements soon.
