I'm wondering if the needing the toilet so much is because baby is moving down a bit. Probably wishful thinking though as I've still got heartburn.

Have been out of action for a while and have not quite caught up with all you ladies but.... thanks for the tip-off on the Mothercare breastfeeding set (i've just made the purchase).

For those of us in Belgium some interesting pieces on what happens during delivery. Don't be surprised if you are offered a colonic irrigation (seems that pooing during delivery is not the done thing); the only pain relief given is the epidural, no gas and air!; the actual birth itself will either be on the bed or in a birthing chair (unless you have opted for a water birth); it's not usual for women to have opinions about how they want to give birth! Basically, if your idea of birth extends beyond being given an epidural and doing whatever the medical staff want you to do then really think about your birth plan and talk it over with the hospital/consultant to find out what is possible. It seems that if you ask then there might be some flexibility but if there is no advance conversation then you might find it difficult to be listened to on the day. Expectations and practice does differ between hospitals/consultants so that is something to consider. Good luck!
