Morning allSmile

How is everyone today?

41+2 here Ds1 predicted that baby would arrive today.. Please be right! Nothing much happening apart from the odd contraction then a massive gap then another random one, what is the point in that?! Just get on with it stupid body!!

AmethystMoon · 15/06/2012 07:47

Morning
emblosion yay! Another member of the stragglers club Grin
dairy will send strong 'hurry up baby dairy' vibes your way all day..... You deserve to go into labour by now!

I am beginning to think rachyroodle might be missing in action! We live very near each other and had planned to meet for a coffee this morning, but I've not heard from her,.... The last post rachy made mentioned the start of contractions. Fingers crossed she is ok and well onto her way to cuddles with babyroodle Smile

A day of the supermarket shop, bit of gardening, dog walking, housework and paperwork awaits me... Oh joy!

Have a great day everyone and I look forward to hearing about today's babies later Grin

ffnorm · 15/06/2012 08:44

Morning ladies

I have been keeping up with you all by reading on my phone but as it's near impossible to post on the phone one handed,I have posted very little.

McK I hurt myself laughing at the image of you lying all around the room to see if you and the pool will fit Grin not so easy to do either at this point in pg!!

Hope all is going well for Rachy...

Have a great day!

Miniangel · 15/06/2012 08:46

Congratulations Blondie . Glad you a had a short labour. Such a beautiful name.

All the best for today Rhi.

Today is my due date and no signs of the baby yet. Had a sweep on wed and that did nothing. I am now an official member of the overdue club. Please get a move on baby.

Congratulations anna :)

Love the idea of the stragglers' club! Amethyst, Emblosion, Mammabump... anyone else care to join us?!

Amethyst I wonder if rach is indeed AWOL?! How exciting :)

Dairy hope your DS has some kind of sixth sense and is right! And mini I hope yours come soon too.

I had my 38 week appt today and mw is a bit concerned babybee has turned the wrong way up!!! Aaagh! Last two appointments he/she's been ceph long and last time she wrote it was 3/5 engaged. This time at the "first touch" she thought she could feel the head under my ribs, and then was concerned that the presenting part was very wide. She could also detect the heartbeat both really low down in my pelvis but also high up above my tummy button which is higher than it should be. Basically, she said that she was 90% sure it's completely engaged and the reason the presenting part was wide was because it's shoulders, not head, but she just wasn't entirely sure. I got off the couch and sat around while she phoned hosp to book appointment for scan, and then she had another feel when she said she was much happier that it was all the right way... but going for scan on Tuesday anyway. Just have to hope I don't go into labour before then!

Poor mw was running about half an hour late when I went in.... I left an hour and a quarter after my appt was due to start so I suspect there are some annoyed preggy ladies in my area today Blush

gwenniebee · 15/06/2012 11:48

Oh bloody hell, and work have just been on the phone again wanting stuff they don't need but if they thought they did they should have asked for before I packed it all away in the loft, ie before I went on maternity leave Angry

McKayz · 15/06/2012 12:35

Congratulations Anna

Gwen tell them to bog off, politely Grin My MW was running really late yesterday too. The woman who had the 9am appointment went in at quarter to 10.

The boys are having a sleepover at my Mums. They've been promising them a sleepover for ages. So I have decided to just lounge on the sofa, eat crappy food and watch bad daytime tv. Judge Judy is on at the minuteGrin

DairyNips · 15/06/2012 12:46

Gwennie I agree with McKayz, you should tell work to bog off! They shouldn't be contacting you at all whilst you're on mat leave!

Mckayz Ah nice for you to get a breakSmile hope you have a lovely relaxing day, you deserve it!

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 15/06/2012 12:57

Congrats Blondie!

CathFin · 15/06/2012 13:29

Er I think work are definitely NOT meant to contact you Gwennie! My midwives got confused which way up DS was, was fine in the end!

Congratulations Anna! Lovely birth story apart from the extra pain bit!

AmethystMoon · 15/06/2012 14:02

Congrats anna Smile

mckayz a well earned day of lounging and relaxing, I think you deserve it Smile

gwennie I've been contacted by work too, but it is kind of my fault! I find it hard to let go and there is stuff going on that I want to keep up to date with..... I want a job to back to basically! It is annoying though when they contact me as I check my emails etc. when it suits me... They seem to call when it doesn't Grin must be annoying though if it is all up in the loft, like we can rummage on our lofts at the moment!!

DairyNips · 15/06/2012 16:23

Massive congratulations AnnaGrin

Miniangel · 15/06/2012 16:26

Thanks Gwennie. Work should def not be calling you. I hope they stop being a nuisance.

Congrats Anna. What a lovely birth story. Hope Grace is doing well and you are recovering.

Just saw rhibutterfly's new born daughter's pic on fb. She is called Devan Lowri and was born today at 12.31. A very big congratulations Rhi. She is absolutely gorgeous.

AmethystMoon · 15/06/2012 16:40

justwantcheese · 15/06/2012 16:46

DairyNips · 15/06/2012 17:05

I saw the pic of Devan tooSmile Massive congratulations Rhib! She's gorgeous, lovely nameGrin

DairyNips · 15/06/2012 17:16

Anyone care to think of a new thread title? I'm far too rubbish at that sort of thingGrin.. Maybe something about the train being delayed?

gwenniebee · 15/06/2012 18:13

"The Jubilee Train has been delayed owing to the wrong sort of dates on the line. We have now arrived at Post-Natal Station and all passengers should disembark as quickly as possible."

?!

McKayz · 15/06/2012 18:15

Thats good Gwen I am rubbish at thread names!

DairyNips · 15/06/2012 18:28

I like thatGrin

StarlightOverJuicy · 15/06/2012 18:37

Baby Asteroid was born this morning at 8:14 ! 8lb 9oz

Born at shift changeover when Mws having brought no less than 5 bottles of gas and air but forgotten the tube meant that once arrived (8:05) spent most of the time in the driveway calling colleagues whilst I gave birth to the head.

So, totally hands off almost unassisted birth but with mw close by. Practically perfect but for the lack of gas and air. They were very generous with it after the birth though for after pains and just for being a bit sore.

McKayz · 15/06/2012 18:39

YAY!!! Congratulations Star!!!!

mammadothebump · 15/06/2012 18:50

Congratulations rhib , anna and star . Lovely names everyone. Are we very girl heavy now?

My girl is still very comfy in there but is definitely moving less. She moves when I poke her but she's not feeling like the octopus she normally is! Maybe she's running out of space and is positioned ready to go? < incredibly hopeful face emoticon! >

gwennie work really do need to knob off. This is the time for baby, its time you're entitled to. My work are doing redundancies so keep asking me to go into meetings which I'm refusing. Not my fault the timing isn't ideal!

Can't remember anything else, grr!

Have a lovely evening folks.
The pregnant lady formerly known as ellybett!

AmethystMoon · 15/06/2012 19:03
