Am admiring the dedication to mumsnet Blondie! have been thinking of you this morning!

I had some exciting cramps this morning but they've gone now. Must up the ante on the raspberry leaf tea (if there is actually any left as DH has developed a strange liking for it Hmm)

Feel as tho there is actually no room left in my bump, it just feels like all baby. Time to come out junior!

Congrats to Rhihaf and awesome birth story from ffnorm :)

mckayz any luck with the sweep? Am hoping midwife will do one when I see her next week, am 39 weeks on Sunday officially (but today by my calculations).

Dairy and Shelduck any success with sweeps?

coops I'd get checked if you're worried. I've noticed movement has slowed a bit, but it seems to be in definite phases where LO seems to be quiet for a good few hours then squirm fest for a bit.

Gwennie haven't caught up with the whole thread but how is the leaky roof saga going? Just the thought of it makes me feel stressed, hope its getting sorted. You must be so cross about roof probs not getting picked up on the survey!

Surf I feel your pain in relation to feeling grouchy, my poor DH can't do anything right and woe betide any slow walking people in Asda (although I'm not exactly speedy myself, ha ha!)

Sorry to anyone I've missed, hope you are all ok hang in there fellow end of month due date ladies! X

emblosion · 14/06/2012 13:02

Ahh, mckayz cross posted. Sorry about lack of sweep, sending spontaneous labour vibes!

StarlightOverJuicy · 14/06/2012 13:35

Is blondie posting Whikst on the gas?

StarlightOverJuicy · 14/06/2012 13:36

My dates 40+5
Theirs 41+2

Head still 'free'!!

10000fireflies · 14/06/2012 13:42

Believe she is Starlight. Sounds quite sane considering!! Grin Goodness, you have a battle re dates!

McKayzr that is a crap attitude from your hosp if you are in so much pain. More spontaneous labour vibes coming your way.

Emblosion would your DH have the baby for you too??!!

Gosh, just booked self in for some foetal heart monitoring (prescribed by cons due to advanced maternal age.Hmm) Got another lecture from someone there about refusing induction... not ready, just yet....

So, I have been listening to hynobirthing CD a bit more, but never manage to stay away for whole thing. Is that a good sign? Will it make any difference on day?!

I don't know about you lot, but getting dressed seems so, well, over-rated these days. Grin

SeriouslyStrongCheddar · 14/06/2012 13:51

Afternoon all!

Just popping in quickly to try and keep up to date - so much happening!

Congrats to Kveta, Rhihaf and ffnorm - hope I haven't missed anyone!

Sending positive labour type vibes to everyone else.

I've spent the last couple of days lounging around in bed with small son trying to remedy the breastfeeding situation and we're getting there (have to say, tetrapack formula has saved my life the last few days while we work on this!).

Have also obtained a pump so I can express for him. Have to say, while the hospital staff were absolutely shite with support for breastfeeding, my community midwife and the breastfeeding support woman from the GP surgery have been fabulous.

He's developed a bit of jaundice now so is a lovely shade of yellow!

I must do better with keeping up to date on here - it's too fast moving for me in my sleep deprived state at present Grin

gwenniebee · 14/06/2012 14:12

Blondie love your post! Keep them coming... I want some drugged up blondie posts to chuckle at :) (Oh, and hope the whole having the baby thing goes well too...)

McKayz am staggered as to how some people on here are having to fight to have people not speed things up for them, and others are having to fight to have it sped up. Seems nuts. Feel very sorry for you :(

Emblosion Grin at your DH - I offered my DH some rlt last night and he looked extremely anxious before saying "But what if it does something funny to my uterus?" Confused Leak saga is on a beautiful hold while rain has stopped - roofing man due to come on Monday "weather permitting" so that at least will solve the actual visible water feature downstairs. The nursery will take a while longer to sort :( I have just closed the door and am not looking!

ff so glad you fall asleep while listening to hypnobirtho-cd too! I feel criminial admitting to DH when he asks "Well, I might have secretly had a bit of a sleep too..." I'm sure it's going in subconsciously.... Hmm

SSC yellow is quite a good colour for a minicheddar, no? Ahh... hope he pinks up again soon though :)

Have just heard that couple number 6 out of our 8 from NCT have produced their baby - two days before due date. They have now all been bang on or a bit early. No pressure for the bee family then.....

thedogwalker · 14/06/2012 14:29

Wow just managing to catch up.
ffnorm some birth story, great one to tell your LO, but I'm so glad it all turned out well in the end. You were spot on with your thoughts of LO arriving early.
Have read loads but memory is a sieve. Will write more later xx

emblosion · 14/06/2012 14:37

Ha ha, last time I caught DH having a sneaky cup of rlt I asked him if his uterus was feeling toned and he rolled his eyes and said he didn't see why I should be the only one with a toned uterus! [Hmm] Id have bought more if is thought he was going to like it so much!

fireflies, if only he could actually give birth for me!

gwennie glad roof is getting sorted, such a shame about the nursery but at least you know now what the problem is and can get it fixed.

emblosion · 14/06/2012 14:38

If I'd thought...

PinkPanther27 · 14/06/2012 15:40

OK I'm prob a bit mad but midwife did suggest keeping busy- Just over 41 weeks and have just cut the grass! Don't know what came over me as I've barely been able to move last 2 weeks. Was so satisfying though! Still no signs of baby coming out.
Where is Blondie posting? I'll check the facebook group in a mo

StarlightOverJuicy · 14/06/2012 16:04

Just had. Call from midwife. She wants me to see the consultant on Tues as by her dates I will be 42 weeks. Not by mine.

Don't know how to play it really as I'm not prepared to see consultant until after MY 42 weeks. Tried to tell her on the phone but no doing. Do I just not turn up?

10000fireflies · 14/06/2012 16:34

Pink it seems to be a common ante-natal obsession. I know someone who's due Monday and just had to cut grass yesterday!

Starlight I know exactly where you're coming from, but I wouldn't just not turn up. See if you can speak to consultant on phone first. Hopefully consultant is able to think a bit more rationally than MW and will understand what you're saying.

StarlightOverJuicy · 14/06/2012 16:35

To add to my misery, GP refused repeat script for heartburn meds Hmm

StarlightOverJuicy · 14/06/2012 16:36

Told mw not going so she said supervisor gonna call, - but my phone just ran out of battery so oops!

McKayz · 14/06/2012 16:52

Must be the day for it Star. My MW just rang to say she doesn't think there is room for the birth pool. Well there is room for it but there isn't room for me to lie down on the floor in case there is an emergency. I am feeling a little pissed off by it.

I think I might get the pool out tonight and then try lying in various places.

StarlightOverJuicy · 14/06/2012 16:59

That's just nuts

justwantcheese · 14/06/2012 17:02

Hi dairy and pink can I please join your 20th June induction club! I've been booked in today.
Decided to have a sweep today, not as bad as I thought. Bleeding a bit now, is this a good sign?

McKayz · 14/06/2012 17:29

I've already moved the little side tables, taken the toy boxes upstairs(which are now empty and the toys are everywhere), moved one of the sofas and moved the tv.

The other sofa will be moved when I go into labour. But still doesn't seem good enough.

emblosion · 14/06/2012 17:36

star this must all be really stressing you out :( is there a way for you to contact consultant directly and discuss things/change appointment? Could it be that the consultant only holds clinics on certain days hence early appointment i.e next one available might be well after your 42 weeks?

I know you don't want to go, but if you could speak to the consultant and get him/her on side (or at least make your position clear) it might get midwives to back off a bit?

blondiedollface · 14/06/2012 17:59

Sat in post-natal enjoying newborn snuggles! Ada-Rose Evelyn Haskins was born at 1.21pm, weighing 8lb 7oz after a labour of exactly six hours, second stage lasting just 17 minutes!

Kveta · 14/06/2012 18:02

congratulations!!! so glad she is here now :) can't wait to see photos :)
