Hmm, I suspect it may take a while for everyone to find me, as it's so late and I couldn't link to the thread on the old one as it was full.

Come find me soon please!

Boo! Found you! You haven't exploded yet then? Silly string and party poppers sound like a great idea. And I have been having a hankering for peach iced tea recently, it is tres yummy.

ScrambledSmegs · 23/05/2012 23:01

Yay! Lovely to see you Ninja. Make yourself comfy!

I am off to bed now, after mucking around way too much on MN tonight. I should probably try and get a life, but that's far too much effort right now Grin

I've found you! Loving the silly string and party poppers! Can I add glittery party hats?

ScrambledSmegs · 23/05/2012 23:08

BOOM!!!

Grin

Love the hats Scream. Very stylish!

Jen, hope the new sweep has encouraged everything along for you!

Just marking my place and brooking for y'all.

Have been lurking and reading and then running out of time to post - soz Blush

musicalmrs · 24/05/2012 04:35

Smegs, lovely new thread! No exploding or we'll be a brooker down, and we can't have that!

My belly button performed some odd stunts throughout being PG. Clearly felt it was its moment to shine!

I also spend far too much time on MN. Life? What life? Wink

Purple, think I sussed PMs earlier! A bit.more blood tonight but not lots. Think it was mainly due to lots of latching on (DD kept falling off!)..still, all an improvement I think!

Now just to master the reuseable nappies!

NinjaChipmunk · 24/05/2012 08:53

sooooooo anyone heard from jen? She's been a bit quiet since yesterday. Do you think she has an actual real life outside MN or has had her baby? Grin
Another lovely quiet day of pottering around here.

jenfraggle · 24/05/2012 09:16

Me, a life? Yeah right. I can't even go into labour to provide some excitement after 2 sweeps. I did have a bit of an uncomfortable sensation yesterday, think it was somewhere near my cervix so hopefully it was doing something.

Smegs you realise that you are weird belly button woman now? :o

NinjaChipmunk · 24/05/2012 09:22

morning jen sorry to be one of those annoying people who constantly ask. I went 4 days overdue with ds and that was annoying enough, one of my neighbours went 2 weeks overdue with hers and I think she was heartily sick of being asked by the end of that. Brooking that when it does make an appearance it happens nice and smoothly and quickly.

ScrambledSmegs · 24/05/2012 10:06

I went 16 days over with DD Hmm although I think my dates were actually a bit wrong. It's very, very frustrating Angry

Come on jen'sbaby!

marking my place to watch for brooking baby news...

scarletfingernail · 24/05/2012 12:20

Oh [disappointed emotion] What are you playing at Jen? I was told by someone in the know* that the only thing that works to get things going is semen. As much of it as possible. Swallowed. Shock

*Not my DH surprisingly Grin

jenfraggle · 24/05/2012 12:25

Now Scarlet why hasn't my midwife told me that? :o

scarletfingernail · 24/05/2012 12:36

Jen funnily enough it was my community midwife when I was pg with DS who told me Grin I then asked my MW friend who agreed but did say vaginal sex was also proven because of the prostaglandins in the semen soften the cervix, but oral is meant to work better apparently Confused

whimsicalname · 24/05/2012 13:16

Oh, I was always told one had to apply the semen topically, not take it orally. Don't know how I've managed to get a baby at all with such ignorance.

Glad to hear your scan went well tock. My booking appt has been put back to June 26th. That's over a month away. Doesn't look like I'll be getting a scan this side of July. All things being equal, I'll be 14weeks by then.

Biscuitsandtea · 24/05/2012 13:21

Whims how frustrating about putting the booking in appt back Sad.

Don't you have to be less than 14 weeks to have the NT measurements etc done? I thought there was a window that the scan had to be done in? I suppose that's if your PCT does the NT stuff. I'm sure Dream said hers didn't.

Hope everyone is well anyway.

Brooking for miniJen's arrival.....

farfallarocks · 24/05/2012 13:23

Marking my place on shiny new thread :)

whim is that not too late for to do NT or are you not real bothered about that?

Just had a lovely lunch in the sun but am now a bit swollen, hmmmm maybe I will have to be a shade lover for the first time in my life!

Good luck jen thinking of you!

NinjaChipmunk · 24/05/2012 13:26

whims my notes state that 1st scans should be done between 11+5 and 13+6. Maybe chase to see if you need to have them within a certain time frame. My booking appt was the same week as my scan.
Off to see the mw in an hour or so and have ordered my TENS hire so that should arrive next week. I think maybe I should scrabble around in the garage to see what baby stuff needs brought out and washed....

jenfraggle · 24/05/2012 13:45

whims i would check about the scan date.

It's boiling hot here for once. Am sat in the garden hoping that the sunshine will entice this baby out but so far it has decided to sleep

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 24/05/2012 14:28

Hi! I have a laptop again, hurrah!

whims phone the scanning department directly - they may be able to book you in a scan before the booking in appointment, if you explain the situation? For nuchal (assuming you want a downs screen, that is) you need to be below 13+6 iirc.

20 week scan this morning! The baby was really wriggly and it was really moving to see him/her - sadly it kept its legs together most of the scan so the sonographer wasn't able to tell us a gender. She didn't see any boy bits, but would only say it was 80% likely to be a girl and not to paint the nursery pink Wink I think another 4 months of suspense will kill me!!

Hope everyone's well - has anything vital happened since I posted last? :)

NinjaChipmunk · 24/05/2012 15:29

jen its roasting here too, I just walked to the mw appt and back and was all sweaty by the time I got back. Its lovely when you don't actually have to do anything though. I have got to go shopping later on and a few packs of ice pops may just fall into my basket.
fluff lovely to see you and glad your scan was good even if the tiny fluffball wasn't letting you see what you're getting. Are you getting much in the way of movement yet? I can't believe you and cakes are both 20 weeks, its flown by! Are you getting ready for your holiday now? Are you going to be in UK or away somewhere exciting?

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 24/05/2012 15:36

Ninja I'm getting bags of movement (well it feels like it for me, it's probably nothing compared to what I'll be getting in a month!), it feels like it's increasing every day DH felt his first kick at the weekend, he was dead chuffed. We're going to Spain for our hollibobs, as my parents live there :)

Mmmmm icepops.......

NinjaChipmunk · 24/05/2012 15:50

Aw bless your dh, I bet he was chuffed to bits. Wait till bits of it start sticking out at funny angles and your entire belly changes shape/ goes lopsided. Totally freaks ds out when that happens Grin

jenfraggle · 24/05/2012 15:59

I must say the stats thread looks scary with my name at the top Shock

Glad you had a good scan Fluff, I still hadn't had any movement at your stage Envy
