How often do they need to be to go to hospital?

jenfraggle · 26/05/2012 08:01

4-5 mins. I'm nowhere near that though. Getting more erratic. Once I've had a bit more rest I'll try getting up and see if things get going again. Feeling a little sick, taking that as a good sign.

My cat knows something is up. She always sleeps on the bed but last night she slept on the floor and went back there again this morning after she had been out.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 26/05/2012 08:16

Good luck Jen I hope you manage to get some rest :)

musicalmrs · 26/05/2012 08:47

Jen - would a bath help? It really helped me in the early stages. The warm water helps counter the lack of TENS machine too!

Off to the kitchen showroom this morn, so will have to try and sneakily check your progress on my phone whilst amusing DD!

Brooking lots for you!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 26/05/2012 09:15

Bit of a wwyd..... if you were given a rather ambiguous 80% girl, would you consider a private gender scan or just lump it? I think they're about £70 locally.... Blush

jenfraggle · 26/05/2012 09:25

Personally I wouldn't, but then I do have a UBB and have never really 'got' why people want to know so that is going to affect my view.

ScrambledSmegs · 26/05/2012 10:41

I don't know Fluff. £70 Is a lot of money -but then you've got your job back so I wouldn't worry about that!

I guess in your place I would do it as you already wanted to know the sex. I've also heard the 4D scans are amazing, and lovely to have as a keepsake.

Jen how are you doing? Did you get any rest?

OP posts:
TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 26/05/2012 11:14

Jen, how are you? What's going on?

jenfraggle · 26/05/2012 11:36

Well everything has stopped, I haven't managed to get some sleep but feel a little less tired after a bath and a lie down

ScrambledSmegs · 26/05/2012 11:56

Hmm, calm before the storm I reckon. Get as much rest as possible Jen, you'll need it!

If you want it to start again you could try going for a walk, as fast as you can.

Hello you lovely lot. Thanks for the scan good vibes. Was lovely to see the little critter and heart pumping away. Foetus is 6 weeks old today. Hurray and still a bit wibbily... then again it's only a month before things are a bit more certain. I had good iron levels and no sign of diabetes too, so am feeling lucky thus far.

Whims - that's annoying for you. I'm meeting the midwife on 8th - for some reason the last booking appt was made into a GP's appt - no idea why but 8th seems good compared to your situation.

Aaaahhhhhh, Fluff - so lovely to see your 20w babster. So excited for you. Sounds like a girl to me. DS was a v wriggly 20wo but it was pretty obvious that he was a boy and we didn't even ask to know (just read the sonographer's face!) Have a lovely time in Spain. And your DH will get lots of kicks now no?

Ninja - busy time for you now. How exciting.

Far: agree the heat isn't the best for too long. Nice bit of shade and gallons of fluids.

Brooking like mad for miniJen and waving at Biccies.

clickingtock · 26/05/2012 16:50

Oops, think I missed loads of posts. Hi to Smegs - hoping the sickness is on the way out. Waves at musical - how are the boobaloobs; have you bought out Lanisoh? Wonders if I've missed tonnes about Fluff - job back?!

NinjaChipmunk · 26/05/2012 20:50

yes I was going to ask about getting your job back fluff?
Just got back from a barbeque, about to give ds a late bath before bed as he is filthy!
Hope everyone is still enjoying the lovely weather?

ScrambledSmegs · 26/05/2012 22:39

Just checking in to see if jen had updated. Hope you're doing ok, and that the radio silence is a good sign!

Hi tock! Really pleased you're doing well - I guess no sickness again, you lucky thing?! I'm a lot better thanks, the ms is definitely abating somewhat. Just in time for the new PSEPP's to take my place, poor things!

musicalmrs · 27/05/2012 05:13

Hoping no news is good news Jen! Brooking lots for you..!

Tock, hurrah on a good scan. Yay for seeing a heartbeat! Boobaloobs (fan word!) are doing a bit better thanks. Felt a lot better at some points of the day, though feeling worse right now... Hmm. I have one that's particularly prone to bleeding, which is particularly painful. I have Lansinoh, but not entirely sure as to its effectiveness on me - found it hard to apply much yesterday due to guests, and same again tomorrow.. So resulting to BM-we'll see how they fare afterwards!

Smegs, glad the ms is abating! :-) how's sleeping going..?

Fluffy, I'd lump it, but as the mother of an UBB-turned-DD I don't think I'm the best to comment- you need the opinions of non UBB brookers I think!

Biscuitsandtea · 27/05/2012 06:16

Brooking for ya Jen

Who's the next batch of due people after Jen - how long to wait until more wee babies are arriving?

jenfraggle · 27/05/2012 07:06

Sorry to disappoint but I'm still home. Went in last night but cervix is still thinning and only 1cm. Had contractions since Friday 10pm and absolutely knackered through lack of sleep

DreamingOfPeace · 27/05/2012 07:20

Job back, nearly mini-Jen, names names names- I'm so behind!

My DD is Isla, I like it though chosen by dh. Half your dhs reasons why not are mad ;-). Love emmeline too. Isla is in the top hundred, though my others for her were isobel and imogen and they're all top 100 too. Isabel at number 3 ish?? Imogen further down, but my boys also have top 100 names too. I love Matilda too. I also really like Madeleine but keep associating it with Madeleine mcCanne :(

DreamingOfPeace · 27/05/2012 07:23

Oh no Jen, I hope you get some rest. I had my waters break at 5:30am on Tuesday, waited til 1pm on Wednesday to be induced for no labour and it was Thursday afternoon before DD born and i found that time exhausting. I really hope they ramp up for your sneeze birth super fast or bugger off and let you get some sleep.

musicalmrs · 27/05/2012 08:34

Eek, Dream, didn't realise Isabelle was such a popular name at the no (5th last yr). Didn't want a top 10 name! Ah well, too late now - will just have to think of a unique nn! The boys names we really liked were all popular too..

We clearly have similar tastes in names Ithough - Madelyn (probably spelt like that - DH likes odd spellings!) was one of our top choices, but didn't seem right when DD arrived.

Jen, you poor thing. Hope things kick off properly soon.

I think Ninja is next in line after Jen? Will have to check the stats thread...!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 27/05/2012 08:57

Yes job back tock - company bought up by another company and they didn't mind that I'm preg coz I has skillz :-)

Sounds positive though Jen - things are obvs gearing up for you, hopefully you'll escape induction?

Off on my hollibobs today, see you all in a week!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 27/05/2012 08:59

Oh and tock, brillopad news on the scan - yay :)

SweetieDoesIt · 27/05/2012 09:05

Just popping in to wish Jen all the best of luck if things move along today.

clickingtock · 27/05/2012 09:34

Good luck Jen you poor thing. Hope baby is with us soon. Awful for you feeling so tired. Brooking.

Great about job Fluff n well chuffed for you.

Good news Smegs n hope you can really enjoy of now. Yes I am Yera lucky in first trimester - eating v well but have just had nasty sinus cold which just worries me on behalf of tockbean.

Ninja DSs do Dennis to bring grubiness to a new dimnsion don't they?

Enjoying the name chat. Already game loads for both.
