Is odd it being so quiet on here, kind of miss grumbling with flameWink very glad for you that you've had him thoGrin

Flamesparrow · 28/02/2006 12:48

I can still grumble if you like? My girly bits ache as much as the bump did Grin.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 28/02/2006 12:52

Well thought I'd quickly pop on here, as officially having lunch! Have done no 'work work' this am, instead have tried nesting to boot things along, have no cleared out nursery once more and re jigged it, have cleared out airing cupboard, re sorted into piles and chucked out loads of old stuff we don't use/have inherited etc.....and cleaned two bathrooms....so think I deserve a break....must waddle into town and get perscription this afternoon......so far have managed not to have that coffee and have turned down the walk in countryside! will try and get to friends to do coffee this afternoon tho!

Helen, I'm going to get some pineapple this afternoon, have just added a pile of chilli paste onto some cheese I ate for lunch! see if that works eh! Finally spoke to MW this am, she didn't know about my blood results yet! but was going to ring me back if they were dire, she hasn't so assuming borderline.....she's gona come out and sweep me on Friday if I've not popped before then.......after that I shall be begging for induction for the begining of next week, as my childcare cover flies to USA the following friday and dh is away with work all weekend, which I'm imagining is when they would try to induce me, just reaching two weeks over, argh! that would not be good.....

Thanks for the vibes Flame, 3k and Tabs Grin one of us surely must pop soon??

Helen38 · 28/02/2006 12:57

Had chilli last night, a whole pineapple yesterday and half of one so far today, just about to have spicey beans on toast for lunch, followed by more pineapple for a change.

Well done you with the tidying and sorting I am hopelessGrin

Frizbetheexpansionset · 28/02/2006 12:59

That's good going on the chilli, thought I was bad, had it for tea friday night, then reminder on jacket tatty sat pm! lol....must go and buy a huge pineapple now!

hotmama · 28/02/2006 16:12

Labour vibes to you girls - I know what it is like to be late - I will be looking out for your birth announcements. Smile

Frizbetheexpansionset · 28/02/2006 16:34

Helen, have scoffed tray of pineapple and have brought a whole one to cut up later, just in case Grin

Just had midwife on tel, trying to disuade me from home birth due to blood count.....which is exactly what dh wants, me in hospital........oh bugger what to do......I hate frigging hospitals.......hosp I guess, bit annoying, as have gotten everything I need for home birth now.......better have a ring around and arrange the child care......oh damn....I know its for the best if I do bleed, but argh! so annoying....

Chloe55 · 28/02/2006 17:00

Frizbe - how far are you away from the hospital? I was under the impression that if there was any chance of complications they would be able to medical help to you at home via ambulance etc as they would in the hospital. Not suggesting you go against medical advice but it seems a shame you have planned a home birth and that you are getting a bit stressed about having to go into hospital, that won't help you or baby. Saying that I don't think I'd go against the advice if my DH wasn't behind me 100%. Soz, that was a bit of a ramble and not much help.

Hope the pineapples are working Grin

Frizbetheexpansionset · 28/02/2006 17:16

Thanks Chloe, its cause I'm about half hr from the hospital on a clear run, that they've asked me to go in......just a bit narked....if they'd done my bloods correctly at 34wks, it would all be sorted out and I'd still be home birthing....pants! Angry anyway must dash and get dd from nursery, but thanks for your input Smile

Flamesparrow · 28/02/2006 19:16

Quick DD update... Emrys is a good influence - DD has cracked the pooing!!!! Grin Since he has been here, she will happily poo on the potty and tell me she is a "big girl now" Grin

Doing happy dance.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 28/02/2006 19:37

Oh how I hope that is true of my dd too Grin well done to your dd flame!

Not quite new, have been reading through this thread for past few months. I was due on 24th Feb but am still waiting! Looks as though i should now start reading the March one.

Jasnem · 01/03/2006 14:08

Helen, Frizbe - am still thinking of you! Hope you get a quck one soonSmile
1g1u - better late than never - join us on the post natal thread anyway. I hope it's not too much longer for you. I hated being late (as you'll have noticed if you read my daily moaning!

I got my vbac Helen, and it was definitely worth the episiotomy and stithches. I feel so good already. Hope you get yours soon.

Good luck Frizbe, Helen and 1g1u.

Thanks for the stats Tabs, you forget who's had what/when and how, was intersting to read through.

Frizbetheexpansionset · 01/03/2006 15:40

Hi Ig1u welcome to the overdue section of this thread Grin

Hi Helen, Happy Birthday to DS1, hope he's having a great day, are you doing party today or at weekend??

Have just had an after swim shower and my nipples have started leaking, hurrah! so things must be moving?? Last time I didn't leak at all before the birth so fingers x'd I may be tonight....if bump could pop before midnight, that'd be great, as then we'd have 2 birthdays on the 1st, easy to remember if nothing else Grin
Have also explained to dd that mummy has to go into hospital for birth now, and daddy has to go too, so she'll be looked after by a friend and may well wake up to them one morning, she said no, want daddy....so I've managed to persuade her that she can do baking with said friend, to which she's agreed lol Smile

Hotmama I may well knock myself out if I try your suggestion, so I won't Grin

Jasnem · 01/03/2006 16:25

Frizbe - just read§the bit about you having to go in to hosp...really sorry for you Sad
What's your hospital like? I really hope you get a good one. It does seem unfair to back out on you this late in the day.

OP posts:
Frizbetheexpansionset · 01/03/2006 19:16

he, he, he Jas its the one where they film Desperate Midwives.....

Flamesparrow · 01/03/2006 20:00

Awww Frizbe - just caught up :( I'm guessing that you are at the stage now of you'll have her anywhere as long as she just comes out though Wink.

Hope you're all doing well. Off to read Thell's story!

Helen38 · 02/03/2006 08:05

Sorry frizbe, didn't register bit about hospital yesterday but if you are feeling like me you want baby out now so where might not matter as much as it could, it's fairly pants all the same:(

We are a good 30mins on a clear run from the hospital too, which means I will have to go in sooner than i would like due to having a quick first birth- don't want it coming in the car and because of the scar - they like to keep an eye on vbacs.

Welcome to 1g1u thanks for swelling our numbers a little it's getting rather lonely just waitingGrin

Frizbetheexpansionset · 02/03/2006 09:02

Hi Helen, 1g1u and of course our old mate flame (thanks for checking in on us hon!) still nothing happening here......have booked a full afternoon of activity for dd today in the hope of baby deciding to arrive! but so far this plan of attack is not working......on the RLT at the mo, shall attack more pineapple and chilli at lunch!! but I'm guessing baby will like dd arrive when it decides its cooked......hopefully MW will help things along tomorrow am with a sweap! Hope everyone has a fun day Smile
