hotmama · 27/02/2006 10:19

Happy due dates to you girls! Grin Hope to hear your birth stories soon.

I've been a bit sleep deprived - but think I am back to the land of the living. Wink

Helen38 · 27/02/2006 11:09

Anybody out there?????

MW said she really thought I'd have had it by now, her and the rest of the world!

Heads well down and basicly it's got to come out some time soon hasn't it?

AT least if I do need inducing they should be able to break my waters to start me off but I so want to do it by myself this time.

We really are getting quiet on here aren't we?

Off to eat my pineapple, although think it has decided to be a march baby.

Flamesparrow · 27/02/2006 12:37

Hello guys... no news from Jas here :(

Happy Due Date Frizbe Grin.

All going well here - DD still with my mum for the time and just visiting us, so we are getting to settle into having a newborn before having 2!!

Thinking big baby come out thoughts for all of you still... strange thing is, I'm missing the "we're still waiting" chats!

Frizbetheexpansionset · 27/02/2006 12:57

Lol at you flame, you surely can't really be missing the still waiting ShockSmile

Happy due date Helen Grin sooo glad I'm not the last!! (by myself at least!)
Well done for getting to see your midwife.....I've left mine a message, as the surgery couldn't get me in for an overdue appt this week or next Shock and I don't appear to be able to get hold of said MW in person either, it wasn't her I saw last week, as she was doing the half term thing! so currently??? as to when will be seeing one of the MW team next, probably when I pop at some point by the looks of things...
Have you had any more signs, I've had nothing....

Helen38 · 27/02/2006 13:10

Still leaking yucky stuff since sweep (sorry TMI i know) and still contracting on and off as I have been for the last 4wks nowSad They seem to be either regular, ie every 10mins sat night, then stop or hurt but not get regular. very annoying. Midwife said bump feels different and doesn't thin; I will get to my overdue appt on fri day so lets hope shes rightSmile

How about you frizbe? Are we the only ones left??
No sign of thell is there?

Off to have some soup and the other half of my pineapple Grin

hotmama · 27/02/2006 13:27

I know what FS means - our chats were really helpful when still overdue. Looking forwward to chatting on the postnatal thread - when we have had sleep and have got through the first few weeks - you forget what they are like until you have them again!

Contraction vibes to you girls. Smile

Frizbetheexpansionset · 27/02/2006 15:48

Cheers Hotmama!
Your right I am convienently forgetting the 1st few weeks! particularly now having to do it with dd in tow as well, argh! gibber etc.....

Not a sign of anything Helen I'm afraid.....but then I got no signs last time either, didn't get a show until 6cm dilated, and mw had to break waters when I got to full dilated, as they weren't going for anyone! techniclly I'm ready to rock, just whenever bump decideds?? So yep, with no Thell about (where are you hon??) its just you and I, fingers x'd at least one of us pops soon!

Helen38 · 27/02/2006 16:03

That would be niceGrin

I've never had to face going past a due date before as knew for ages would be induced on d-date with ds1 and had section at 39wks with ds2. So this is all new and I don't like it, what do you think the chances of it coming on wednesday are? as it's ds1's b'day and the one day i don't want it pretty good i think.

lets hope one of us gets going over night then:)
It's nice they haven't forgotten us and keep popping in isn't it?

Be back tomorrowGrin

Frizbetheexpansionset · 27/02/2006 16:15

Grin ok will 'speak' tomorrow hon! hopefully we both pop tonight Grin that way, no birthdays shared for anyone!

Chloe55 · 27/02/2006 16:54

Good luck Frizbe and Helen (and anyone else who hasn't posted for a couple of days) Smile

Frizbetheexpansionset · 27/02/2006 19:43

Thanks Chloe Grin

Thought I'd give anyone whose looking a laugh....
Last two times I've been to MW appts they've messed up my blood results, so they did them yet again at 39 weeks........got a call from quacks tonight to go in and pick up a perscription, I say what perscription? they double check with a doc, oh your anemic! well thanks for finally finding that out for me, now that I'm overdue folkes! you gotta laugh eh! so tablets and constipation for me as of tomorrow.....

Frizbetheexpansionset · 27/02/2006 19:59

and Congrats to Jasnem on her baby Boy! Grin

4blue1pink · 27/02/2006 20:00

how do you know frizbe?

Frizbetheexpansionset · 27/02/2006 20:09

hang on will link it, she's posted on the in labour thread \link{http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk?topicid=1365&threadid=150052#3172115\jasbaby}

Helen38 · 28/02/2006 07:53

Contractions every 15mins all evening and stopped again:(

It just doesn't want to come out.

How are you today?

Frizbetheexpansionset · 28/02/2006 08:28

Wow how damn annoying....your baby will just fall out when it does decide to you know! you'll be one of those lucky ones Grin

Spent all evening bouncing around on my ball, which did nothing apart from make me feel more comfy! managed to persuade dh into the natural induction method Grin so maybe that'll have kicked in by tonight?

Have you got any nice plans for today? I'm kinda supposed to be working still (work for myself) but have been invited for coffe by one person and a big walk in the country by another and her partner, dum, de dum, not sure which to do! might do coffee n gossip! lol.....gotta go and get the damn iron tablets as well, although reading up on it, its quite normal to go anemic, when they test you so late, as placenta is doing a mighty job last thing, they just don't usually test you at 39 weeks....pah!

Helen38 · 28/02/2006 09:29

No real plans today, waiting for men to come and take away my old sofa and really should do some housework.

Quiet here as boys are at school and preschool which is nice, should make the most of being by myself as that won't happen much soon.

Hope you won't need the iron for long.

Looks like it's just us 2 now then, at least it can't be much longer, have they talked to you about induction yet?

Tabs · 28/02/2006 11:57

C'mon ladies - last chance for a Feb babe today. Don't let us down!

Helen38 · 28/02/2006 12:00

Trying very hard, it just doesn't want to come.

I might turn into a pineapple soonWink

3k · 28/02/2006 12:33

Keeping my fingers crossed for you ladies, wont be long now xxxx

Flamesparrow · 28/02/2006 12:36
