DH & Apple I'm 12 weeks today too (despite scan saying I'm 12+4, I'm not, the condom broke the week after lol).

OMG this tiredness is killing me, I've already called in sick twice over it, only being able to do a morning shift and not the evening ones, boss getting very p'd off with me................ can't keep my eyes open after 7.30 and am that tired I feel physically sick. My eldest (12 this month) said to me yesterday, 'have we been eating rubbish teas lately because you're so tired', lovely! I've already done a full cooked tea ready and before the awful fog comes down :)

Craving of the day brioche bread toasted with mozzarella melted on it.

I've definitely felt movement since Saturday, I've felt both movement and very tiny baby kicks :)

My hubby dragged me into the Mama's and Papa's shop on Sunday, after wandering around for ages I said to him, 'is it awful that I don't feel the slightest bit broody', he just looked at me disgusted and said 'yes' Blush It just doesn't seem real to me yet despite already having my scan.

I have cried too! I haven't cried sober since a funeral year ago. I downloaded the Hunger Games trilogy on my Kindle and cried my eyes out reading it, I've just started the next book and have cried all the way through that so far too!

Good news on the scans, will be interesting to see if any more little twinnies will pop up, congratulations Garden.

I think it will go well, I have no reason to think it won?t so I don?t know why I?m nervous. I?m 25 years old fgs not a teenager and I?ve been with DP since I was 16.

I told her a couple of years ago I wanted a baby but couldn?t afford it and she said not to let money stop me, it will be difficult financially but then it is for the majority of people and they all manage. She has also said for the last few years that she can?t wait until I have a baby and she often buys clothes and toys for my cousin?s little girl. So fingers crossed she will be pleased.

I'm also convinced I'm having a girl daisy and always refer to the baby as 'she' although I haven't got a preference either way.

YellowWellies · 02/05/2012 12:09

Hello just in from our official 12 week scan. Baby was dated at 11+2 and EDD 19/11/12 - we've lied and told the overexcited GPs that the due date is the 29th as I don't want loads of enquiring phone calls when I'm fit to pop and bored grumpy. Have told our sisters the truth as they're a bit more reasonable! Grin

Baby was fast asleep legs in the air, hand in the mouth, kept turning it's back on us and rolling over to sleep when first prodded with the scan probe. Apparently they sleep for 20 mins and are active for 20 mins. We were in the scan room for nigh on an hour with the sonographer trying to get a good angle for the nuchal test. (Am glad the parasite is awkward and uncooperative! as we got to see so much including a couple of high octane activity spells and a couple of good snoozes). I had to go to the loo three times, cough repeatedly and do lots of crocodile rolls to try to get the little bugger to shift position so she could measure the neck. It tickled me doing big coughs and watching the baby float around the sac kicking it's arms and legs in seeming annoyance! Anyway all good - the nuchal measurement was 1mm.

Feeling much more connected with the little one - and have a more distinct sense of his / her personality (still definitely think its a she). DH was over the moon too. Now to relax and go on holiday. I'll be offline until the 22nd May so ladies, I'm wishing you all so much luck for the next few weeks :)

Afternoon all, thanks for all the messages yesterday about the testing. Have decided not to bother as I really just feel like all is ok with bub and it was only a very bordering high risk anyway. If it had been a higher risk, say 1 in 50 or lower I think I would have gone ahead with a CVS but that would only to have known the facts not because I would have terminated or done anything about it had it been downs. So am going to carry on enjoying my pragnancy as much as I can through the tiredness and nausea and what will be will be but am expecting all will be fine as are the majority Smile
Congrats to all on the lovely scan posts, really exciting reading.

FruitSaladIsNotPudding · 02/05/2012 12:25

Ooh, crafty yellowwellies - will you come clean about the due date afterwards?

Horsey - I've been feeling flu-y for a while, but think it is just pregnancy. Constantly shivering and achey. Oh joy.

I have heard the heartbeat now with the doppler. Took me ages on the first try, but got it almost straight away last night. There's no mistaking it. Was good, I'm not feeling very bonded with this pregnancy tbh, but hearing the heartbeat helps. I didn't really bond with dd either, and then the instant she was born, wham! It was like I'd always known her.

ValiumQueen · 02/05/2012 12:44

Just been to the hospital for my glucose tolerance test. I do not know why I am being tested so early as no history or symptoms, urine and blood tests ok. Odd. Everyone else had big tums and grey hair. Anyone else being tested the noo? I am 14 weeks.

Tiago · 02/05/2012 13:17

I don't have a glucose test until 27 weeks or so. Maybe your blood came back a bit high in sugar? My friend's did (she'd gorged on chocolate shortly before) and so they did the glucose test early for her.

stabiliser15 · 02/05/2012 13:18

Wonder why that is Valium?

I am expecting to have one, as have a parent with type 2, and am high risk due to being a fatty having a high BMI, but not until around 28 weeks, which was when I was tested when pregnant with DD, iirc.

applepieinthesky · 02/05/2012 13:22

I think I'm having the glucose tolerance test but I didn't think it's any time soon. A lady I work with has just had it done at about 28 weeks.

Chunkychicken · 02/05/2012 13:30

Yeah!! YW good news :) I currently have the same EDD (at least for 2 more weeks until my scan) and don't think it'll change as I know as far as you can know when I ovulated as was using LH surge strips.

Horsey I get cold & shivery when tired. Have you been pushing yourself in the last couple of days? Your immune system is lower in pg anyway, so it could just be a common-or-garden cold. Feel better soon.

Valium that's odd. Do you think it was a risk factor thing or a blood test thing?

Shanelle glad you've made a decision you're content with.

ValiumQueen · 02/05/2012 15:04

I think it was a midwifes hunch to be honest. She was surprised my tests in previous pregnancies had been ok, yet I had gone on to have big babies (8lb 13 and 10lb 3) She thinks I have been diabetic all along. I have not. I am not. You don't like to disagree with the professionals, and I knew I would need one at some point. I did not realize I would need to go back for another in 14 weeks though - it was pretty vile.

I admit I am very old, and not as skinny as I should be, and I do have big babies, but have seen bigger!

applepieinthesky · 02/05/2012 16:04

My mum was supposed to be coming round after work to pick something up and that?s when I was going to tell her. But now she?s not coming because she?s been up since 3am so my dad?s coming instead. Which means I need to call her and tell her on the phone Sad

Onamission28 · 02/05/2012 16:11

Congratulations Garden what exciting news! I would have flaked out a little bit if told there were 2 in there!

Apple that's disappointing. Could you write a letter and hand to your dad to give her? She wouldn't be expecting a letter so could be a nice surprise? If you've had the scan can include the photo? Just a thought.

applepieinthesky · 02/05/2012 16:18

My scan's tomorrow and DP can't come so I was going to ask her to come with me. So I need to tell her tonight.

applepieinthesky · 02/05/2012 16:24

Unless I go to the scan on my own and then take the picture round tomorrow? But I think she'd be disappointed if she finds out DP didn't come and I didn't ask her.

NervousAt20 · 02/05/2012 16:37

I think a letter sounds good apple or could you pop round to your mums and tell her then? It would be nice for you to have someone with you tomorrow to share your excitement

Chicken tikka curry with garlic bread Nom Nom Nom Grin

Chunkychicken · 02/05/2012 17:09

Clearly the hormones are at it today. Feeling v short tempered & irrationally annoyed at some stupid comments on here & Facebook.Angry

Chunkychicken · 02/05/2012 17:26

Didn't mean this thread BTW Blush

DonnaDoon · 02/05/2012 17:34

Was gonna say Chunky...what ave I missed ?? Lol hope you ok chick dont let the buggers get you down x

YellowWellies · 02/05/2012 17:39

Oh lorks I'm the same.... totally blamed the other person on FB but Hmm whoopsie - def' good to be offline for a few weeks

DesperateHousewife21 · 02/05/2012 17:48

What happened? Hope it wasn't anything horrible, some people feel they can say anything on the Internet and it won't affect anyone.

Chunkychicken · 02/05/2012 17:58

Nothing really DH but people being daft & getting cross when all I can think is 'D'Oh!! Well of course x happened...' and really don't want to say it/start a row. I also have to be careful as I haven't announced I'm pg on FB so only a few friends know from RL & some of the comments would be tricky to explain without admitting to being up-diffed iyswim.

Thanks Donna & glad its not just me YW Grin

izzybizzybuzzybees · 02/05/2012 17:58

One of my friends has posted not very nice comments on FB about this pregnancy either! So I understand chunky!

Chunkychicken · 02/05/2012 18:03

So sorry Izzy that's not nice and they can't be much of a friend in that case!!

I'm sure its me, I'm just a bit fed up of some narrow minded comments & people thinkng
