Baby fine!!! Was fluttering round lots but heard the heart beat. Managed to control my giggles this time lol!! Also reassured that what I was feeling is the baby too. It's really odd as at my scan and just then I'm sure it's a girl the rest of the time a boy?!! Oh well will find out in 4 weeks :)

Horsey was the heartbeat like a train or horse? Train = boy, horse = girl. You of all people should be able to tell the difference. Mine sounded like a train.

Oh no I want to listen again now lol I didn't pay too much attention as it took a while to find it so I started to panic lol. Wish I knew before id have been more analytical!! What are the other signs of each?!

Boys have big willies due to hormones. Girls do not. Not sure of the other theories.

I can finally add myself (or rather ask someone to do it as on phone...) as scan went well, one (rather large) baby...

I say large, 8cm which is right at the very top end of the range for dates (13+2)!!!

Nice to have more lovely scans. I am already pining for my 20 week one.

Today I have mostly been falling out with people and being snippy. I am categorically not a shouty teacher but some days . . . Feel rubbish about it now. Wasn't just kids that caught it though. Lots of emails being sent which I am certain I will regret tomorrow. Spent nearly two hours after work trying to get some development work done only to be scupper ed every time by technology. I love technology but hate it when it goes wrong. In the end I thought I would come home and try again. Turned my computer on to discover a total system failure. I am currently sitting trying to rescue it but not sure it's working.

I hate the 'baby brain' or hormonal thing but I might just write the day off . .

Sorry! That was such a whine. How was everyone else's day?

Hey pass me the crisp does thinking u only have approx 14 weeks of school till maternity leave!
I have 8 school weeks till summer holidays , then about 5 weeks when I go back. that cheered me up today after I was in a mood as a kid told me to shut up.

Passme At least you have a fantastic excuse! Hormones ;) Hope the computer gets sorted. Hate it when mine decides to be an utter piece of crap which is every day.

I'm afraid I need to gross you ladies out for a moment! I have terrible constipation - been going on since about week 7 now! So after lots of painful toilet trips, it all culminated today in a 30 minute toilet visit (in work of all places!!!!!) which involved hands on walls, and partial undressing. It wasn't pretty. I think I am just going to wipe the memory from my mind.

Came home, got some glycerin suppositories and a mammoth bottle of lactulose, and have already used them . Was supposed to keep the suppository in for 15 mins, it lasted less than 2 before I started sweating and rocking with stomach cramps. I think I might need another tomorrow!

How glamorous is pregnancy huh?!!

I got some maternity vest tops in Asda today, 2 for £8, and some stretchy pj pants in size xxxxxxxxl that's me done for pj's for the rest of the pregnancy! Also relented and got some new bras. I think they have stopped expanding for now. Much more comfy now! Still in my underwired though! The world doesn't need to see the horror that is my non wired boobs!

Shelly May have to go to primark for a few more of those vest tops with support, they will be good too! What size did they go up to? 20? I'm getting 18-20's at the minute, as normally a 16 ish

Bump has definitely sprouted! I feel fat and horrible however. I remember feeling like this with DS! Must get over it quickly...

Had some annoying news with the mat. pay today. Turns out the weeks they are using to calculate my mat pay are weeks 12-20. And worst of all, its my pay in that period, not the hours worked. So as unsocial hours are paid a month in arrears, the unsocial hours that count are from weeks 8-16! How utterly crazy! I didn't stand a chance to increase my unsocial hours or anything to help towards my mat pay. And I was off sick until week 13. Not the happiest bunny at all. Like how I only find this out at 15+4. I phoned and asked about all this in week 10 fgs!

Lol on the willies :) detective how annoying!! So glad I'm standard pay no top up!! Yay chicken!!! NOW are we all scanned??!! My nails look amazing!!! They're so strong!!! I hope they stay that way!!

How's your diet Detective? I've been eating lots of fibrey-things such as baked beans, broccoli, wholemeal pasta and bread, etc. and that seems to be keeping the dreaded constipation at bay.

Detective They did go up to size 18-20, worn one today and very comfy although a bit of swinging which I'm not used to with the wires

horsey I bought a load of nail polishes from Asda today, £1 each. I've not worn any for years so am making the most of them :)

Stunt Diet is fairly decent now, but does lack in protein. Fluids have been increased. I don't get it! Well, maybe I do. I suspect the ondanstron is the culprit. Might try and stop taking them next week.

GTbaby you are a champion. I just counted 5 weeks until summer hols (Scotland starts earlier) then 8 weeks until October hols which is essentially mat leave.

Feel a lot better now. Fixed computer, managed one of the pieces of work I couldn't do before and had a good giggle at my red mist moment earlier.

detective that sounds horrendous - poor you. OH helped my constipation yesterday by walking in on me on the loo. I don't know who screamed more.

Think I was the last, so we can officially relax into the second trimester.1/3 down, 2 more to go!!

Detective did get 5 pictures in the end, 1 decent one, a couple where Wriggler is rolling away from us as if to go to sleep, and one slightly creepy looking one where you can see the face which looks a bit like Skeletor/the Scary movie mask but s/he has his hands up doing jazz hands. And, on the plus side, the fluttering/thudding/popping feelings of movement are definitely baby, as s/he was exactly where the feelings were coming from :)

I have 9.5 wks until the school holidays, although this only works out to be 29 days :)

My 16wk appt is 3wks tomorrow at 16+3 so perfect timing, & in half term so DH & DD are coming with me.

I've got my next midwife appointment on Monday when I'llbe 16+3. Can't wait to hear the heartbeat (hopefully!!!). Got my 20 week scan on 19th June.

I have a bit of a belly on me but tried my bikini's on last night (luckily they just about still fit) and I look chunky rather than pregnant. Oh well, I'll probably come back treble the size as it's all inclusive anyway!
