I'm supposed to be doing loads of work at home today for my business, the tabs open on my computer include here, ebay which is open at the handbags section and google, again at handbags Blush. Anyone want to buy a kitchen splashback or glass bathroom panels? Really need to give this business a kick up the arse if I want to fly the solo route and tell work to stick it up their jacksie.

DesperateHousewife21 · 04/05/2012 16:36

I think I'm addicted to nik naks, I've had 6 packs in the last 2 days Blush

Also my meal plan has gone to pot this week, we usually have pizza on a fri so that's tonight's meal but it's just so happened that we've had chips for the past 2 nights as well so really don't fancy them again but it's all we've got and I'm in my pjs already so don't want to go out for something else.

Belgrano · 04/05/2012 16:41

Hi everyone, hope you're all
Ok and the sickness is easing. Mine is a bit but I'm still exhausted. I fell asleep on the sofa at 6 pm last night!
I've fallen off the new list. I'm on my phone so could some kind person please add me? It's Belgrano EDD 28/10/12 (I know that's officially October but they changed it at my scan and I'm well settled here now so if you don't mind...?). Thankyou.

Hi ladies, lovely to see all these happy scans. I've got my next scan date, 12th June and I will be 20+1. It doesn't seem very far away!!

I've been to pregnancy yoga today and it was lovely, very relaxing. Think I'm going to give aquanatal a go too. Although not too sure about exposing this growing body to members of the public!!

Please can someone add me to the list, I can't do it on ipad. LittleLolly DC1 (28) EDD 29/10/12.

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/05/2012 20:29

Kirrin 10/11 is a good date to have a baby. It's my birthday Smile

I did aquanatal and pregnancy pilates when pregnant with DD and I loved them both. Although I think pilates just edged it. I found it so relaxing and helped keep the old bones moving! I'll do them both again, although I'll wait until I'm more heavily pregnant. I think I started aquanatal too early first time round and found it did nothing for me in the early days. I'll do normal aquafit for a bit.

I'm just in the middle of packing to go away for a week. Very much looking forward to a week of sunshine and hopefully I will get some relaxation too with other people around to help with DD. I'm sure this thread will have moved on a lot by the time I get back so make sure it's easy for me to find you Smile Hope all those still waiting for scans have happy ones and I look forward to catching up with all the happy pregnancy news when I'm back.

NervousAt20 · 04/05/2012 20:40

Hope you have a great holiday eliza :) just wondering what kind of holiday insurance you have (don't mean to be nosey!!) I'm going away for a few days at the end of the month and don't no if I'll need a special 'pregnant' insurance or will normal insurance be enough? Be grateful if anyone has any info

DebussyHead · 04/05/2012 21:02

Hi ladies, had my scan yesterday and everything was fine! Phew, relief! Smile I thought I was 13+1 and that's exactly what they said I was. So pleased to hear so many good scan stories!

I'm on my phone so don't suppose someone could Add me to new list?
DebussyHead (33) EDD 7/11/12

Off to catch up on last two days of this thread that I've missed. You've Been chatty ladies might take a while Grin

DebussyHead · 04/05/2012 21:04

Meant to add it's DC2

kirrinIsland · 04/05/2012 21:11

Have a good holiday eliza

I got my 20 week scan through today as well - 19/6. I should have a 16 week one as well though, but don't have a date for that yet Confused
Will you all be finding out what you're having? I did with my first and said I wouldn't again but that plan lasted until I got my BFP - I will definitely find out, I'm too nosy not to!

GTbaby · 04/05/2012 21:21

Good point nervous! DH booked our may half term holiday last night (I'm a teacher). We have insurance, but better check fine print Incase we need to upgrade or something.

So glad DH booked holiday, really feel like I need it. Planned on going to Berlin over Easter break, however MS was so bad we decided against it. Lucky we hadn't booked it, as were waiting for last min, as if I hadn't got preg we were going to Amsterdam instead lol.

If anyone updates stats can u add me pls.

We are going away to Ibiza in a fortnight. I have insured through insureandgo. I've used them loads, you can choose level of cover suitable and they insure pregnancy as standard. No extra charge.

applepieinthesky · 04/05/2012 21:57

Sunshine. I'm jealous. We have been abroad at least once a year for the past 8 years but this year we are doing staycations. I'm beginning to regret my cottage in Devon already Sad

TheDetective · 04/05/2012 22:10

I just need a whinge.

DP forgot to pick up my repeat prescription of the ONLY drug that works for me. I was in work when I remembered its a bank holiday weekend, and I didn't have enough medication to last me til Tuesday. So I got a phone consultation and got the repeat px sorted.

DP was supposed to go and get it, as being in work, obviously I couldn't. I'm now waiting on out of hours GP to ring me back so I can beg bribe them to prescribe even just enough to see me through the weekend. I can't believe he forgot - he had nothing to do at all today. And the one thing I asked of him, he forgets? Confused

Sorry, just feeling very worried as this medication is working, and I know what will happen without it.

Congratulations to the ladies with scans today! More lovely news!

Kyzordz · 04/05/2012 22:11

Just realised i'm not on the new list, can someone add me please? Don't think I can do it on my phone!

It's kyzordz DC1 (22) EDD 10/11/12

Today has been a nice day, keep getting tempted to buy baby things but I really don't want to jinx anything so I'm being good for now. The OH has a fascination with newborn sized socks because they're so small! I must admit they're really cute and doddy!

OP posts:
ValiumQueen · 05/05/2012 07:48

I bought a babygro yesterday (0-3mths as I have big babies, £1 from charity shop, originally Mothercare) for a boy! I have two girls, so I clearly need a gender scan! If it is a girl, it will still wear it though - a boy will be in pink sleeping bags for the first 2 years anyway. It felt good to buy something just for this baby.

DonnaDoon · 05/05/2012 07:49

Morning all...great news about scans...Izzy we are off to sunny Ibiza on Monday ( Calo Gracio) . Where are you staying?

ValiumQueen · 05/05/2012 08:01

Have pretty much decided on a Maclaren Techno twin, likely second hand. When DD2 is bigger, would likely get a single Techno. Been lusting after Uppababy and Stokke, and DH is thinking Phil and Ted after initially being very against them. I sold my lovely silver cross sleepover about 4 weeks before conception, and have a lovely silver cross XT travel system, but it is so big and heavy, not built for two, and the mice chewed its handle.

I looked at lots of lovely prams yesterday, but they look so small - A lot of reviews have said baby outgrew within a few months, but they are only in the pram bit for a brief while as they want to be up and looking about. Some of the pushchairs look really small too - I clearly need to take DD2 with me and try her in them (not the pram bits)

Now a carriage built silver cross with toddler seat... I have pictures of me sitting in mine aged 2, very happy, loads of room....

ValiumQueen · 05/05/2012 08:06

I will be camping in Yorkshire at about 20 weeks. Must be mad. Last holiday abroad was Egypt for honeymoon 7 years ago. When on Mat leave with DD2 we were camping frequently from when she was 7 weeks old. It was a very different experience when she was toddling last year, and now she can run really fast...

Wish I was going somewhere fancy.

applepieinthesky · 05/05/2012 08:13

What are you all doing this weekend?

I'm off to watch my beloved Arsenal today with my mum and brother. It's a 4 hour round trip if there's no traffic so we will aim to get there really early, have lunch and then my mum will be cooing over all the baby clothes in the club shop.

DesperateHousewife21 · 05/05/2012 08:20

I'm ill :(
Had a lie in but woke up with sore throat and feeling sick. Just been sick on an empty stomach so nothing really came up.

Going to see how it goes, hope it was just a one off.

ValiumQueen · 05/05/2012 08:21

DD1 has a free ticket for her and a grown-up to see local football match - DH is very keen, but DD1 says it is for boys, and she does not want to go. Scotland 3rd Division, so not as fancy as Arsenal! Hope you have a lovely time, and a safe journey apple
