jaggythistle · 17/05/2012 13:46

go musical, you're nearly there with your super sneeze birth!

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/05/2012 13:49

Oh wow Musical you're doing amazingly!

Are they here yet?! I. So excited. Thank goodness Im at home today!! Refresh refresh refresh Grin

BartletForAmerica · 17/05/2012 13:50

Surely minimusical has entered the world now! 8-9cm and on MN - that's good going!

Loopyhasanotherbean · 17/05/2012 14:07

hi all, thanks for thinking of me, i have been lurking but there have been so many postings on this and the other brooker threads, and i've just not had time to catch up on any and name check etc.

have had DP's parents here for the last week, and so haven't had much time to come on here, as had to do stuff with them, plus he had a big birthday this week so i made a cake/decorated it which also took time!

20 week scan was fine, as whoever it was said, its a DS2 for us. Getting used to the idea now, but really thought this one might be a DD so was a bit sad to start with which i know some people frown on, but i just thought it would be a DD, but he will be very much loved...just hope i can cope with another 1 or 2 pregnancies to get a DD as i can't imagine not having a DD, i have 3 nieces and our family is full of girls and i just always assumed that would mean i'd be the same. Having a lot of sacroiliac/pelvic pain, physio gave me tubigrip and a support belt, but the only thing that helps is lying down and doing nothing, which isn't really compatible with an 18 month old. SPD is pretty much controllable as long as i keep my legs close together, but can't control the other pains. Went out for a meal last night, sat down for 3 hours and was in agony, probably also didn't help that i was stood up for a couple of hours decorating a cake yesterday afternoon. Had a hospital appt this week, saw consultant re birth options, i can either choose an ELCS or a VBAC, and still unsure what to do, she will see me again in 9 weeks when i'll be 32 weeks. Part of me is thinking that if a non back to back baby, to try a VBAC, but if a back to back like DS was, to go straight for CS on admission at hospital. She conceded that as DS was early ( born before 39 weeks) there is probably little point booking a CS now, as they would book for 39 weeks, and the baby could already be here by then, as this one is looking to be the same sort of size as DS was.

Out of interest, of all those who have had babies, did you have an anterior or posterior placenta, and was your baby born back to back or the right way, and was your birth vaginal without intervention, vaginal with forceps or ventouse or an EMCS or an ELCS?

Am brooking that muscial has had her sneeze birth and is enjoying new born cuddles, and that jen and wants will soon be doing the same....and also hoping to see a few new faces on here soon! maybe if i remember correct, you already have some proper pee sticks at home, so please use one tomorrow, the IC's are rubbish, they are so stingy on the ink, you need to use a real test!!

hello to everyone else, sorry i haven't time to name check everyone, but have missed so much it wouldn't be a quick task!

Wants3 · 17/05/2012 14:17

Soooo excited for musical does energetic routine with pom poms in the hope that it will trigger own labour! look forward to hearing news soon:)
Ihave just been pottering today but wish I had appointments booked like yesterday so I would be to busy to dwell on all the little twinges!
Any more show Jen?

jenfraggle · 17/05/2012 14:19

A little bit more this morning Wants but nothing else to report. No twinges, no BH but I have been feeling a bit down so assuming hormones are flying around in there somewhere

NoMaybeAboutIt · 17/05/2012 14:23

Wow Looopy sounds like you are having a bit of a tough time at the mo. I hope the pains don't give you too much trouble. I do have a twin pack of CBDs but I know they are not that sensitive so want to wait a bit before they come out Smile

Go Musical go!

BartletForAmerica · 17/05/2012 14:28

Just coming to see if there is another musical update.

loopy, I had an anterior placenta with DS. He was in the right position for delivery (OA) and was a very uncomplicated (if long) manageable labour at home.

Biscuitsandtea · 17/05/2012 14:31

loopy sorry you've got so much pain. Hope it doesn't get too much worse and it is manageable.

In answer to your questions - I had an anterior placenta (= a whole host of moaning about not feeling much movement). Ds2 was not back to back (I don't know what the term is for that? The right way round? Back to front? That in itself sounds the wrong way round Confused). Delivery was vaginal with no intervention (but a second degree tear).

GO MUSICAL

Hope you're enjoying newborn snuggles and tea and toast as I type xx

Biscuitsandtea · 17/05/2012 14:34

And for ds1 Loopy I assume placenta was posterior. Maybe back to back? Maybe not? Was never told he was but since then a few people have said that my labour sounds like maybe he was, and the fact I never got the urge to push is common with B2B apparently Hmm. Delivery that time was vaginal with forceps (and episiotomy and 3rd degree tear)

DreamingOfPeace · 17/05/2012 14:48

Omg, is minimusical here?! I am properly excited!!!!! Argh!!!@ and well impressed with mn-ing at 8-9 cm.

Hi loopy what a shame about the spd.my first birth was back to back induced labour (after waters went but never went into labour, can be a B2B sign I think??) Drip etc, long and crap, vaginal delivery but third degree tear. Twins were elcs. Very pleased with my choice, great recovery (my DD was 18 months, nearly 19 at delivery) and dts 6 weeks yesterday and there's nothing I can't do. Different to after dds birth!@

DreamingOfPeace · 17/05/2012 14:48

Oh, and anterior placenta for DD, both posterior for dts

jaggythistle · 17/05/2012 14:59

think we maybe talked about vbac loopy?

DS1 was emcs as wedged back to back. was a big saga over 2 days and was eventually augmented with drip and had epidural before cs

DS2 was lying back to back, but turned fine in labour. he was born with forceps intervention after fairly quick labour. forceps due to his heart rate causing concern.

Wants3 · 17/05/2012 15:20

Arrrrgh! My sister had her baby this morning, early and on my due date!! Over the moon for her of course but a bit :( it wasn't me!
Go musical hope you are snuggling right now!
this baby has anterior placenta, doesn't seem to have affected me feeling movement and I often feel his back on the front of my tummy so assume he is not back to back. I have been spending time on all fours the last few days to encourage him to stay that way!

jenfraggle · 17/05/2012 16:00

Maybe spending time with her will set your hormones off Wants and then you get your snuggles too.

I've got hardly any movement again today. I had hardly anything on Friday, back to normal on Sat but virtually nothing again now. Not sure if I should be phoning the MW or not. I mentioned it on Tues but now I've had it again.

Imps7 · 17/05/2012 16:34

Here for exciting news update from Musival and other soon to pop PSEPPs (S2PPSEPPs?)?

I've not really been here much for 6 weeks - who has had their bubba since beginning of April then????

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 17/05/2012 16:39

Jen, phone the MW or the hospital NOW for reduced movement. You need to go in for monitoring. Please please don't ignore it. Hope it's just a false alarm but it's not a risk you want to run.

BartletForAmerica · 17/05/2012 17:08

jen, agreeing with Too here. You MUST go to hospital NOW. No messing!

CupcakesAndCocktails · 17/05/2012 17:11

Go Musical can't wait to hear the lovely birth story Smile

Jen brooking everything is ok with MiniJen

Waves to Imps and all the PSEPP!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 17/05/2012 17:13

Wow Musical! 8-9cms and on MN?!?! No wonder you were able to cope with moving house at full term! I'm sure you're snuggled up with your newborn by now, but sending oodles of No Brooking your way just in case!

Wants3 · 17/05/2012 17:44

Jen I agree with others about getting checked out!
Unfortunately my sister doesn't live close enough for me to have fresh newborn snuggles just yet but there are still 6 hours left of the day ,plenty of time for my sneeze birth!

scarletfingernail · 17/05/2012 18:25

Jen one of the reasons I was induced was because it was the second time I'd mentioned reduced movement. Please get it checked out.

Lovely to see you Imps There's been a lot of action over here since the beginning of April.Dream had her non-identical twin boys, Jaggy had a DS2, Scream had a DD and I had a DD. Fishcake also had a DD2 but we've not heard from her since.

Apologies if there is.

Biscuitsandtea · 17/05/2012 18:33

Agree Jen that you should get checked out - I went in for reduced movements a few times before I had ds2 and they take it really seriously (and rightly so). Hope you're already there being checked Smile

ScrambledSmegs · 17/05/2012 18:33

No news from musical? Must be good news then Grin

Loopy sorry you're in so much pain, but lovely to hear from you. In answer to your question, DD had an anterior placenta, but came out the right way iykwim. But she was ventouse as the daft midwife had given me a massive epidural top-up (I was not happy, I was screaming at her to stop) shortly before I was due to push. So felt bloody nothing, couldn't push. Still very Angry about that, it's a big part of me wanting a home birth this time.
