Hi Mythical, welcome! V exciting to have another member so close to the end! The post-grad thread is here for not-too-far-in-the-future reference.

Wants, Musical and Jen, have you not had those babies yet? I went away for the weekend and was expecting to have missed all the excitement! Get sneezing! By the way, it has just occured to me that an orgasm is supposed to equal 8 sneezes or so they said at school. Just a thought...Wink Grin

scarletfingernail · 08/05/2012 18:41

Firstly apologies, I've not kept up with the thread over the last week, I will fully read through once I've posted. I thought I'd better post before I fell off the thread.

DD is gorgeous. She's doing really well despite me being ill since I left hospital almost a week ago. I got an infection in my CS wound and I've been on anti-biotics which have given me a really upset tummy and in turn given DD a really upset tummy. We had a rough few days, hence me not posting but I think now we seem to be over the worst. She's lost a fair bit of weight but is feeding well.

DS has been fabulous with her, I'm so proud of him. He told me this morning that he loves his baby sister. It was so cute.

I'll post again later once I've read through the thread. I'm very excited for the next wave of new arrivals.

Munx2 · 08/05/2012 18:47

Just popping in to say scan fine Grin

Try to be back later

Wants3 · 08/05/2012 19:53

We were all waiting for you too
sorry to hear you have been poorly scarlet and good news on the scan munx
I have just seen we are halfway through this thread already, let's hope these babies pop before the next one!
A lady from my antenatal group had her baby this morning, 9lb7!

NinjaChipmunk · 08/05/2012 20:56

9lb7! Ouch! I so hope this one will be smaller than ds and he was only 7lb14.
Really glad to hear about the good scan munx excellent news!
Very sorry to hear you've been so poorly scarlet but it sounds like you are on the mend and your ds sounds very sweet with his little sis.

Good luck all soon to be sneeze-birthers!

And hi myth (I'm from the ttc thread, though we're actually all pregnant over there too, just haven't found pee-sticks that agree yet!)

scarlet sorry to hear you've been ill since having dd Thanks

jaggy is your ds really 3 weeks already! Shock

dream hope the dreamboys (not sure I should call them that - think it's a group of strippers Grin) got to sleep eventually. You are still wonder woman.

Love to everyone x

jaggythistle · 08/05/2012 21:29

aye, 3 weeks tomorrow. it's been so quick!

he was smaller than DS1 ninja so you never know! he was a week early which may account for some of it though.

was attempting to get an early night, but i think DS2 has just pooed yet again. unfortunately he's as prolific a pooper as his big brother was. he can even poo in his sleep! on wonder his wee bum is red already.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 09/05/2012 00:02

Apologies for the lack of posting, keeping up with two threads plus newborn sleep deprivation, and oodles of visitors, has all been too much!

My DD will be two weeks old tomorrow Shock She was weighed today, and has put on 9oz in one week Shock She's also getting too long for her newborn size babygros already :( Overall she's still utterly perfect though, and most things are going well (except super painful boobs and still-present although-reduced SPD)

Hello and welcome to Myth! Great to have you with us and hope to see you on the post-grad thread very very soon!

Sounds like Jen, Musical and Wants are all primed and ready to go! I wonder if we'll have a triple sneeze birth day this week?! Quadruple even, with Myth! No Brooking hard for you all.

Great news on the scan Munx! Any other scans coming up soon?

Sending lots of No Brooking vibes to those suffering through the evil first tri, and also to those worrying about movement in the second tri. You will get through the icky stages, and soon you'll be cuddling gorgeous newborns! at 3 am when you'd really rather be asleep!

scarletfingernail · 09/05/2012 11:47

Damn my baby brain. I finally caught up on all your news last night and then posted about it on the wrong thread.

I'll have another go now.

Sorry to hear about your job Fluffy. Will you have to look for a new one immediately or is there is chance you can put it off until after the baby is born?

So pleased to hear your placenta moved Ninja.

Welcome Myth. I hope you go into labour very soon.

Great news re the scan Munx Are you starting to feel a bit more relaxed about it all now?

I still haven't managed to leave the house since coming home from hospital and DD is 10 days old today! My feet have swollen to a ridiculous level that I can't even get socks on never mind shoes. I have to keep making myself put them up on top of my birthing ball to get them higher than my hips so the fluid drains back down. Oh the glamour doesn't end once the baby arrives, oh no nature just finds more and more things to make you feel as unattractive as possible Hmm

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 09/05/2012 11:52

I've no chance of keeping up with everything from the past few days, so and Biscuit Blush :) Hope everyone's doing well and nobody's too ill (lots of viruses doing the rounds atm?).

scarlet I'm going to have to look for a new job JSA and all that but nobody in their right mind will hire me, imho! So Maternity Allowance will kick in in 10 weeks-ish then that's me done til after the baby.

I've been having proper kicks over the weekend - til now it's just been gentle shuffling but these were proper wallops! One on Sunday and then a set of 4 yesterday. Cheered me up no end :) :) (am currently 18+4)

Wants3 · 09/05/2012 13:55

Morning all! I have had a busy morning so only got the afternoon to fill today. I met my health visitor at 10, she gave me my red book, loads of info and a free bag and sippy cup! I then popped into the antenatal group for a weigh in and a good natter! One of the ladies is 41 weeks so was offered a sweep by the midwife who runs the group! We are all waiting for news now:) I also found out another lady had her baby at the weekend so that is 2 so far( both boys)
Those early kicks are great aren't they fluffy

jenfraggle · 09/05/2012 14:01

I had newborn cuddles last night...

Wasn't mine though, the other Guider from my unit that had hers last week popped in to the meeting. It was funny as I think Spud got jealous. As I was having a cuddle, it just kept kicking him on the bum as if to say 'that's my mummy!' Well if you are that concerned then hurry up and come out to have cuddles yourself!

pommedechocolat · 09/05/2012 14:17

They say holding newborns when pg brings on labour jen..,

jenfraggle · 09/05/2012 14:18

He was born on Thursday so is that newborn enough? :o

clickingtock · 09/05/2012 15:37

Waving to you all - waiting for those 3 little bubbas all to come at once, musical, wants and Jen? These last days feel the longest in life.

These early days seem quite long too though if that's any consolation?! Grin

Stacks · 09/05/2012 16:01

Hello again everyone. Sorry I've been AWOL, had a busy couple of weeks in work and so tired in the evenings. I'm actually feeling a little more awake this afternoon in work, but not managed to get much work done!

I'm 9 weeks today, and still haven't had much more than nausea. The last few days I've found I've got a different kind of indigestion though - it feels like I didn't swallow my dinner all the way down, but instead feel it like a pressure in my chest. Unpleasant, but there are worse things I guess.

I really thought all these babies would have been sneezed out by now, wants, musical and jen. I hope they come along for you soon.

Tock I've been finding these weeks are going by so slowly! I still have nearly 2 weeks to wait till my booking in appointment with the MW, then my scan is 3 weeks today. I'm hoping as the dates get closer the days will go quicker.

mythical · 09/05/2012 17:34

HI everyone, i had been having irregular contractions (had a few hours of them being 7 min apart) since midnight. Today was the date of my consultant appt so i went in - by that time contractions had stopped but I apparently am 1-2 cm dilated and I've had a sweep and scan. Babies est. weight is 7 lb 15 oz, everything looking good, provisionally booked induction for a week tomorrow if nothing happens but midwife was convinced things are v much on their way and when she gave me the leaflet she said - "you probably won't need this as i expect you back soon but have a read just in case" . Managed to sleep since 1 o clock which was lovely because i had not slept all night. Been awake for 20 mins and i think i am starting to get them again - painful but a good sign.
Either way i will be a mum by the end of next week for sure!
Hope everyone is okay

jenfraggle · 09/05/2012 17:43

How exciting Myth, have some pepper. I've had a couple twinges today but very rarely get BH, let alone contractions

Biscuitsandtea · 09/05/2012 22:24

Where'd you all go?

Ate you all off having babies? ConfusedGrin

Biscuitsandtea · 09/05/2012 22:25

*Are^ you all off having babies rather Blush

Biscuitsandtea · 09/05/2012 22:26

Typing FAIL

BlushBlushBlush

musicalmrs · 09/05/2012 23:03

Sadly I'm not Biscuits! How're things with you?

Myth, that sounds so exciting! Glad they've booked you in for an induction just in case so you know there's an end in sight - mine was booked in after my first scan, which I thought was a bit premature, but it's nice to know there's an end too :)

Fluffy, YAY for being beaten up! Early kicks are wonderful :) In fact, apart from when I'm being attacked in the ribs (or bladder!) I still think the kicks are wonderful :)

Munx, congrats for a great scan!

Scream, lovely to see you here! I really need to keep up with the postnatal thread - I've just been so busy Blush. Congrats on Autumn's fab weight gain though! Sorry you're still having SPD issues though - I hope you're seeing a specialist to try and sort it out?

Scarlet, sorry to hear about your infection, and general illness :( Your DS sounds so sweet though. Hope you manage to escape the house soon..

I've had periods of uncomfortable BHs that are 10 mins apart over the last couple of days, but still nada! Went bell ringing tonight, which I was hoping might help shift things, but nothing there either! Not entirely sure if the LO's actually fully engaged either, so wondering how long it might take. Midwife appointment on Fri - I suspect my sneeze birth won't have happened by then, despite my day of bouncing and walking today!

mythical · 09/05/2012 23:30

I'm okay, thank you, musical
A bit sore after the sweep and a bit frustrated that I'm not having regular contractions but I still get them (and they are hurting a lot) so can't really sleep for long..I just hope (although I doubt it!) that they are doing something in there!
I hope your sneeze birth happens sooner rather than later and your appt on Friday goes well! Will you be having a sweep?

musicalmrs · 10/05/2012 08:21

Hoping you're now having snuggly newborn cuddles myth - or if not, that you're well on your way there and things are happening a bit more regularly!

Not sure if I'll be offered a sweep on Friday. I'll be 39w+5, so I suppose we'll see!

NinjaChipmunk · 10/05/2012 09:53

morning all. myth I hope things are moving on for you? let us know your news!

I'm having a bad morning. It is my last day at work today. At 1am ds decided to get a temp of 39.5. So we calpoled him up and he eventually went back to sleep about 2.30, I didn't get back to sleep till about 3.30, still had a temp this morning and because dp is super busy at work and its my last day we have had to calpol him up again and take him to nursery. He was in bits by the time I managed to leave him, sobbing his little heart out. I was on the verge of tears too and had to back out of the room and promise to wave at him through the window and call at lunchtime.
Plus we had a power cut last night and now our shower pump is not working properly and last time it went tits up it cost £400 to replace. I was late to work this morning and I am now waiting for something else terrible to happen to me like my computer is going to explode Sad
Sorry for the me me me post but my brain can't cope this morning!
