Welcome mythical (may I call you Myth?) Smile

You are in absolutely the right place I think - and how exciting that you're due literally any minute day! But never fear - its never too late to start brooking no argument! We have this pg thread but there's a related ttc thread which was where it all started and then we've got the post natal thread too.

I, like Dream am a graduate (DS2 is 8 and a bit weeks old) but most of us graduates hang out here a lot or sometimes in TTC, and vice versa with Preggos and TTCers nipping into all 3 threads.

Hopefully we'll be seeing you soon in the post natal department though Grin

mythical · 07/05/2012 23:17

You may :o
Thank you for the warm welcome!
I am crapping myself very excited!
Feels like i've been pregnant forever

I will have a little read but i don't think i can manage all 10 threads! Shock

jaggythistle · 07/05/2012 23:23

hi mythical! welcome to no brooking! looking forward to your no hassle sneeze water birth soon. :)

I'm just in for a nosey too, i had my DS2 by surprise week early sneeze birth nearly 3 weeks ago.

Biscuitsandtea · 07/05/2012 23:29

There are of people on this thread too, honest GrinGrin

Not just us post pregnant people knocking about. Although obviously, speaking at least for myself, I do seem to spend a lot of time sat in this chair avec iPhone while DS is feeding. I can only assume that these pregnant people are out doing exciting things......

Myth - do you know if you're having a boy or a girl?

Right I'm off to bed for as long as ds2 deems acceptable.

Laters dudes xx

Biscuitsandtea · 07/05/2012 23:30

Not 'of' people, pg people Blush

mythical · 07/05/2012 23:35

Little girl! at least that's what the "midwife-that-hasn't-been-wrong-in-28-years" said.
if she was wrong, i really hope he likes pink bunnies and ballerina mice...

And congrats on your little ones! looking forward to joining you soon...

I'm in a "may babies" group and i was one of the first ones to be due! 10 babies later... and mine's still staying put!

Biscuitsandtea · 07/05/2012 23:39

Mythical my DS1 (3.7) loves pink! Really really loves it Grin. So it's totally possible Grin

DreamingOfPeace · 08/05/2012 02:19

Can i just mention that like my 22:12 post I am.still trying to.get.these bloody babies to sleep?!

Yay for an imminent baby myth! My DT1 is wearing a pink sleeping bag right now (that was given to me by a friend after she knew I was having two boys so not one of DD's) and may I say he's looking pretty in pink!? We will look forward to your little girls arrival. I'm.with you on the annoying early deliveries. I'll never be one of those!

musicalmrs · 08/05/2012 08:28

Hi Mythical, welcome! I am also a member of the May baby thread, but kept losing track - much prefer the lovely peoples here (or maybe it's because I'm too lazy to keep up with too many threads!). Brooking no argument that your LO makes an appearance soon - I'm due on the 13th May, then Wants and Jen are very soon after (the common consensus seems to be that Wants will beat me to it!). Have you had many signs/twinges? I'm also aiming for a water birth, but who knows what will happen!

I'm also ultra-scatty at the moment as we've just moved house, so I'm losing track a bit. Know what you mean about being pregnant forever! I've enjoyed being pregnant, but it's the little things now.. like I'd like the ability to turn over in bed. Or to wear more than my very limited wardrobe (I'm a tiny person with a comically huge bump).

Dream, how are things going with the DT? Hope they slept eventually :(

Biscuits, how are things with gorgeous E? This pregnant person isn't out doing exciting things I'm afraid.. today's list involves unpacking books onto bookshelves and sticking pads on the bottom Hmm. Jaggy, how are things with you? :)

I must apologise - I used to be brilliant at keeping in touch with both the conception and post-grad threads, but after the madness of moving house this weekend I've lost touch! Busy ish day today (DH off of work, so we're doing a few more bits of DIY, and I have a list of places to change address with!).

NinjaChipmunk · 08/05/2012 08:52

morning and welcome myth hope your bean decides to come out soon!
2 days left at work, woohoo! I shall be a free(ish) woman after thursday, then on hols next week. I'm getting quite excited.
I am v tired today though, a combination of ds waking in the night, dp snoring and then him having to get up at 5am as he's off to somewhere (turkey or germany or somewhere) for work. At least I have tea. And I'm at home. Need to bake some muffins today to say thank you to dp's badminton group for all the lovely stuff they bought us.
Oh and on the subject of pink stuff, ds chose some new trousers the other week. They are lilac and he LOVES them. (He's 4.7 by the way) and we also have a lot of pink stuff as this one is supposedly a girl too. At least we have ds's old stuff if it turns out to be wrong!
Any babies arrived yet? When I went into labour with ds it was fairly obvious. I'd had no BH or anything and then they started off softly during the day and just got progressively more painful by night time. He was born the next morning. I think this time I'm going for a combination of tens machine and when that isn't enough, a birthing pool at the mw led unit. At least I won't feel quite so bewildered by the pain this time. Even though I was expecting it last time, the intensity did frighten me a bit and I think thats maybe why I had such a long 2nd stage and ended up using the ventouse. But we are all no brookers so I hope I haven't frightened any first timers. Just concentrate on the moment when they put the baby into your arms and its all worth it.

Welcome myth I am impressed by your cheeriness despite being over due! If you get the chance to read back you will see that I had a false alarm on Friday which really put me out of sorts! Feeling more positive today though.

My stories( from a looong time ago!) ds1 I woke in the night with tummy cramps, thought I had trapped wind but after several trips to the loo noticed the regularity. Stayed at home until about 7.30 am. Arrived at hospital, used gas and air. I got to fully dilated by teatime but baby remained high up. Epidural inserted, episiotomy and ventouse and ds1 was born at 9pm weighing 7lb4. Ds2 woken in the night by regular cramps, phoned mum at 7, waited for ds1 to wake up so I could say goodbye. Got to hospital about 8am, 9cms dilated, bit of gas and air and ds2 born at 9.45am weighing 7lb6!

NinjaChipmunk · 08/05/2012 10:27

wants I want a birth like your second one!

OP posts:
mythical · 08/05/2012 10:36

Done, thank you :o

I had about 3 hours of regular contractions (BH at first then they got painful - 15 mins apart) last night that just stopped Envy but hopefully that's a step in the right direction.
I should be doing some physical activities today to try and get things going! i assume moving arm from chocolate to mouth doesn't count

It sounds really odd but.. i'm not that scared about the birth.. I know it will hurt, it will probably be quite long and not quite enjoyable but i'm at a point where i just want her out and safe!

musicalmrs i can sympathise! Even turning in bed requires serious planning, a gentle shove from DH and lots of "ow, ow, ow, ow!!"

wants My good friend was due monday 2 weeks ago, she has so far been induced 4 times and it didn't work, it has promptly put a stop to my moaning! She is having a section today so fingers crossed.

However! this doesn't stop my mother (lives in another country) from starting every single chat with "sooo!!!! anything yet????" Yes mother, i've had the baby, your first grandchild, and didn't ring you :o :o

jenfraggle · 08/05/2012 12:34

Well I had a 2 hour non stop session of my ball last night while watching the snooker. I was then in constant pain all night and had to take paracetamol. Just done another 15mins, going to do just a bit at a time from now on.

Wants3 · 08/05/2012 13:01

My mum also lives abroad but is happy for baby to delay arrival as she can't come over until June!
I have done all my planned jobs for today so I don't know what to do this afternoon:(

jenfraggle · 08/05/2012 13:23

You could always have a baby to occupy yourself :o

jaggythistle · 08/05/2012 13:55

Grin just if you're bored wants!

jenfraggle · 08/05/2012 14:19

The weather is lovely today, will keep my fingers crossed that it stays like it next week for you Ninja. I've just made some scones, which I will eat before DH gets home I've put the washing away and done the dishes. What can I do next?

mythical · 08/05/2012 14:31

I made flapjack for my labour bag the other day! if I fon't have this baby soon I'll need to make another batch!

Wants3 · 08/05/2012 14:40

So do I ninja!
just watched escape to the country which passed a bit of time, feeling sleepy now but ds2 will be home shortly so can't lie down yet, maybe an hours kip once we've chatted about his day. DH rang earlier to say he has been booked onto late slots at work this week so will be late home every night, boo! Also he won't be contactable for an hour and a half this afternoon( baby take note!) any more twinges myth? or like me has everything returned to normal.:) my money is now on myth & musical to provide the excitement this week.:)

mythical · 08/05/2012 15:01

No more twinges but I have got a hospital appt tomorrow and probably my first internal exam (can't wait Hmm )so maybe more clues if this is going to happen soon or I will stay pregnant forever
Dh has friends over playing computer games all day.
I've just received my extra-long cable thingy that connects my laptop to my pc so I'm planning to hide stay in my bedroom with some popcorn and stream some films or tv series!
These are my last few days of being childless!! (weeps)

jenfraggle · 08/05/2012 15:06
Wants3 · 08/05/2012 17:52

Yay! In a few minutes I can start preparing tea and time will start moving again:)
I have been sooo thirsty today, I drink a big glass of water, juice, squash etc and then in no time at all my mouth is really dry again! With the amount of liquid I am taking on this baby will come out on a surf board!
