Awaiting news!!

musical - are you wondering from room to room a lot? I did that for days!

musicalmrs · 06/05/2012 08:47

No signs here yet.. Jen? Wants?

Fluffy, glad you're feeling more chilled out about the job situation, though it is completely rubbish :( Wonderful that you have a lovely DH helping you put everything in perspective :)

39 weeks today! What with it being a full moon and the house still being in disarray today would be quite a good day to go into labour don't you think? Grin Oh, and with my FIL coming round too!

Heading off to bell ringing in a bit to see if that helps get things moving, but then I'll be bouncing, scrubbing, unpacking and cleaning in the hope it gets something moving..

jenfraggle · 06/05/2012 10:05

No, nothing here. 38 weeks today and MIL is taking us out for a meal as it is probably the last chance we will get for ages.

You going for some hide the sausage Musical? :o

secretly thinks that Wants isn't going to tell us when she goes into labour after the false alarm so next time we hear from her will be the announcement

Wants3 · 06/05/2012 11:06

:) Jen you must have read my mind! I did think that just before coming on here but realised that wouldn't be fun for the rest of you! I am going to give the super moon a good chance- hoovering and cleaning my kitchen cupboards today. I don't think I can face hiding the sausage but if needs must!!

musicalmrs · 06/05/2012 11:48

Not going to attempt hiding the sausage just yet Jen - but when needs must.. Wink. Not that I imagine it'll be particularly comfy what with being huge! Meal out sounds lovely - enjoy it!

Wants, that would be rather cruel! I do have visions of telling DH to update you all of what's going on, and him failing to do so... or telling the wrong thread or something Grin.

Wants3 · 06/05/2012 13:33

Yes, musical I will have no internet in hospital so am thinking of showing ds1 where to find you all when I update him! I did not realise that we were all due so close, I am 38+3. come on super moon!

DreamingOfPeace · 06/05/2012 15:44

Hmm, I think I'll put my money on a wants-musical-Jen order of delivery.

Bladder the size of a marble tonight! As soon as baby moves, which is a lot, I have to make another trip to the loo! DH is out tonight but not too far away if I need to call him. Having contractions but nothing regular. DH is looking forward to using his new app for timing them when they finally decide to get going. Even though my due date is a little while away I still feel in limbo because of getting close on Friday, if that hadn't happened I would just be getting on with every day stuff without wondering about early signs of labour! Grrr !

jenfraggle · 06/05/2012 19:10

I'm not going to get excited Wants cos we know that stopped things last time. I'm just going to ignore your contractions so you can prove me wrong full moon baby

musicalmrs · 06/05/2012 19:25

Argh, I know what you mean about bladder the size of a marble Wants! Mine's been like that for the last few days - most infuriating. Contractions sound very exciting though... maybe there will be a supermoon brooking baby! :)

Jen, my kicking and squirming has been a lot more pleasant over the last couple of days. Having said that, just as I wrote that I had some very uncomfortable kicking and an incredibly odd shaped bump..!

Brooking for Wants.. :)

Munx2 · 06/05/2012 19:30

Oh it's getting so exciting wants, musical and jen brooking for swift and sneeze like births!

Well there have been several well aimed downwards kicks here so feeling more relieved, thank you for all your lovely reassurances. My placenta was anterior with DD and I had very little movement ever with her. I shall find out this week at the scan where the placenta is....... We don't find out the sex where I live (against hospital policy) so unless we crack and book another scan this will be an UBB!

Hope everybody else is well?

jenfraggle · 06/05/2012 20:32

Glad you are getting beaten up Munx :o

ScrambledSmegs · 06/05/2012 22:06

Hi everyone. Hope the babies get moving soon, wants, jen and musical, and that everyone else is well. Sorry for crappy update.

So, 12+2 and I'm dying on my feet. Sick as hell, fainting now too, DH has a very mild cold and is therefore wilting and snorting phlegm all over the place and DD is, well, a toddler. I have to tidy the house so that it can be painted on Tuesday, but can barely drag myself off the sofa, let alone do any heavy lifting.

Oh, and before you ask, DH is as much use as a chocolate teapot. He spent all day today doing DIY (his idea of fun), leaving dangerous tools in DD's path and ignoring me struggle to look after DD and cook for all of us. I am seriously Angry at him. Feel like he's checked out.

Sorry for moan. He's not normally this shit.

NinjaChipmunk · 07/05/2012 09:12

smegs that sounds awful. Please go see a gp/ mw for some anti-emetics or whatever they are called. Fainting may be down to low blood pressure? I would suggest getting that looked at too. As for lifting stuff to be painted, maybe a rant at dh is in order until he shifts the heavy stuff? My dp also is well know for leaving his vast array of diy tools about for ds to find, and ds is majorly curious as to what they all do (which when they are in his workshop dp often encourages much to my horror).
Looks like ds is awake, back shortly

Still here! no plans for today but the rest of the week is fairly booked up with appointments so would be reeeeally inconvenient if baby came! hopes baby falls for reverse phycology (sp)

jenfraggle · 07/05/2012 12:14

There are four people that work in DH's office. One of them is seriously ill in hospital and one is on holiday this week. If Spud decided to make an appearance this week then that would mean only one person in. That would be very inconvenient too :o

jenfraggle · 07/05/2012 15:07

DH has just announced that he is fed up of waiting now and wishes I would go into labour. He's fed up???!!!

As I sit here with absolutely no signs of any kind, can those who went into labour humour me with tales of what they did and felt like before they started?

musicalmrs · 07/05/2012 17:56

Munx, glad you're feeling some good movements! :) Do you think you'll crack and book another scan, or leave it as an UBB?

Smegs, that sounds horrific :( Hope you've taken Ninja's advice and got yourself to a GP to get some drugs (didn't they offer them to you before?). I'd definitely second the having a rant at your DH too. I'm very lucky in that mine's been very considerate most of the time, but there have been times when I've had to point out to me that I can no longer do x/y/z for whatever reason!

Wants, I tried reverse psychology, hasn't worked yet, hope you're having more success Wink

Jen, my DH has had several talks with my bump about coming out soon - though they've obviously not been effective enough yet! The nursery isn't 100% finished yet -and neither is my baby blanket - so maybe it's waiting until then. Maybe I should knit a bit faster...

Wants3 · 07/05/2012 17:56

I am fed up too Jen but I still have potentially 10 days so who am I to complain:) I did have a little weep earlier because the contractions I am having aren't painful enough! DH and I then took the dog for a nice walk,
( slowing Down for contractions) the sun came out for abit and I felt better by the time we got back.I think DH wants something to happen for my sake really. I could do with some stories to pass the time aswell.

musicalmrs · 07/05/2012 18:15

Wants, you know more than me contraction wise, but surely all these are just preparing you for a much speedier sneeze birth? :)

Wants3 · 07/05/2012 21:33

musical I am going with your theory!
I think this is just the 3 rd baby thing that people keep telling me about. My last 2 labours just started with no messing about but that was a while ago.
I am definitely feeling more positive tonight after my mini breakdown earlier, I have a busy week ahead so am focussing on that.

mythical · 07/05/2012 21:40

Hello, this thread looks interesting, do we need anything special to join? Blush

DreamingOfPeace · 07/05/2012 22:11

Hello mythical, no, nothing special, you just need to be updiffed and prepared to Brook No Argument about it all going to plan. Or about to be updiffed. Or a graduate (my twins are 4 weeks old!)

wants, so frustrating. Busy calender will surely get that baby out. Having never gone into labour I drove myself mad symptom spotting from 35 weeks this time with the 'twins come early' mentality... I'll look forward to the stories too, you can give us yours from ds1&2?

I'm still trying to get the dreamy twins to sleep. Just for a change.

mythical · 07/05/2012 22:26

Well, still a newbie and might have left it a bit late but yes! up the duff (very much so, actually)
1st baby due.. 3rd of may!
had plenty of issues in the pregnancy but i'm determined to have a lovely, relaxing water birth when the little one decides to make an appearance :o

have i done this right?
