pomme, I did cry, and biscuits, something very similar came out of dh's mouth. Good point, I'll tell dh that about recording it . Maybe tomorrow though, tempers are fraying fast here with the two fractious were-babies (who slept beautifully in their buggy in the day, nocturnal little horrors)

No shows or waters breaking today? Disappointing.
When I was in having the twins the mws said there are always more women going into labour on a full moon, plus all the new babies are little terrors. Mine were terrors on the full moon night when i was in & every night since I'm hopeful for Sunday then :-)

Biscuitsandtea · 03/05/2012 23:01

Ooh Dream were yours born on a full moon then? So was DS2. And we had a similar conversation with the MWs that apparently a lot of people go into labour, often with waters breaking. And it did seem busy that night. They omitted to tell me the bit about them being terrors.....

I bet the MWs get bored of having the same conversation about it every 4 weeks!

It's 8.27 and today is already thoroughly crappy - my job is swiftly imploding. I'm going to catch up in an hour or so but just had to post at my Shock :( Shock :( Shock :( as there's nobody else here to pull those faces to!! :o (and so say "hi" obviously :o )

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 04/05/2012 09:16

I'm back :o

Munx when's you're 20 week scan? Are you going to find out the gender, or are you having a UBB? :)

NinjaChipmunk · 04/05/2012 09:59

fluffy are you ok? Do you want to talk about it? We are here if you need to vent lovey. Stressful jobs when pg is horrible. I went through a lot of that last time around.

Well we got given sooo much stuff from the baby shower the other night! Masses of clothes for ages 0 up to 2-3 yrs!! Plus some toiletries, a couple of blankets and a bottle of cava! I am stunned. These are people I've never met before. I shall get a big thank you card this week for dp to give to them.

We have our scan at 11.50 to see if the placenta has moved. Lets hope so. I also need to persuade ds to sit still throughout. Hopefully the threat of not going to his friends house afterwards if he misbehaves will be enough Grin plus I may have to buy a packet of malteasers.....

Fluffy, I'm so sorry about your job :( Feel free to rant. Agree with what Ninja says about stressful jobs - I had a couple that were horrifically stressful that I ditched as soon as I could (the bonus of having a portfolio, largely freelance career).

Ninja, the baby shower sounds so lovely! Was brooking for your scan, which I realise should now have taken place - hoping the placenta's in a more snesible place, and that DS was well behaved :)

Just finished painting the nursery! Grin. And have now got internet at the new house. Sadly once lunch is finished we'll have to go back to the old house to finish the packing...

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 04/05/2012 12:40

Am officially now redundant a lady of leisure! Trying not to get stressed for the baby's sake; there's absolutely nothing I can do, so there's nothing to stress about

Lovely musical! I think having the nursery all painted is a real milestone (does that sound crazy?) :)

jenfraggle · 04/05/2012 12:53

Oh Fluff, I was made redundant last year, it's horrible.

NinjaChipmunk · 04/05/2012 13:04

oh fluffy poor sausage thats utterly shit. Have they given it to you in writing? Give the job centre a call for advice and start getting your jsa as soon as possible. Then have a big cup of tea and some of those lovely looking brownies maybe linked to on the other thread. But you are right about trying not to stress. Can you take on any freelance work? I know you do something crafty based...

We're back from the scan and the placenta has moved! Hurrah! Unless my platelets drop massively we are now all on for a nice active birth in the MLU. I have 2 days left at work next week (weds and thurs) then I'm off till, well, ages! Then we are off on hols the next week.

Sorry fluffy about your job :)
I was checking in to see if there were any Jedi babies yet, there is still time:)
It's great that you have painted the nursery musical have you got furniture to go in it? Now you have somewhere to store all the baby stuff until you need it!
I did a big supermarket shop this morning, the mechanic has been and the plumber is on his way so this baby had plenty of opportunities to inconveniently arrive but he is not playing the game.

Wants3 · 04/05/2012 13:09

fluffy that should have been a :(

Biscuitsandtea · 04/05/2012 13:26

Fluffster SadSadSad

Poor thing, have a big Brew and much cake. We're always here if you need to rant / rage / wibble / panic.

In fact with all the brooking babies that have been born we can pretty much offer a 24 hour service as there's almost always someone up!

I take it you're back home? xxx

TheLittleFriend · 04/05/2012 13:57

Marking my place for the arrival of the next Bouncing Brooking Babies Smile

jenfraggle · 04/05/2012 14:18

No signs here, just really lethargic. Struggling to get the energy to go for a wee, it's that bad.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 04/05/2012 14:24

Thanks everyone.

Ninja we're expecting something in writing tomorrow; I've completed my JSA application online (hurrah) and just need to wait for an appointment.

clickingtock · 04/05/2012 16:17

Good luck with it all Fluff - a bit of a surprise but the start of a new journey? Something I realise you could do without but I do hope it will work out in the end.

Talking of 'new journeys' - no little bods meandering down the birth canal today then? Too relaxed in there obviously. Smile

Your opinions please - the NHS (in)fertility consultant that I saw on 11 April (who basically suggested we should be going for ICSI) has offered me an early scan. Would you guys go for it or does it seem a bit paranoid/jinxy? I had a v straight forward pg and birth with DS and we were seeing a consultant mainly because of male fertility issues (though there's my age too)...

Wants3 · 04/05/2012 16:18

Don't want to excite everyone but uncomfortable tightenings every 10 mins.
(as you were)

jenfraggle · 04/05/2012 16:21

Had a feeling you would sneak in soon Wants. It will be you, Musical and then me as I've decided this baby is going to have to be forcibly ejected just like I was

clickingtock · 04/05/2012 16:41

Ooh - brooking no argument for Wants super smooth popping. Good luck!!!!

Biscuitsandtea · 04/05/2012 16:47

Good luck Wants GrinGrin

AAAAAAAAAA-CHOOOOOOOOO!

GrinGrinGrin

Biscuitsandtea · 04/05/2012 16:51

Oh and Ticktockaclock, you know an early scan can't change anything. So it can't really jinx it iyswim.

But we'll be brooking for ya whichever way you go Smile

clickingtock · 04/05/2012 17:12

Ah - thanks Biccies. Well, of course, the curiosity has got the better of me and seeing as she offered... This will wind you up too: I told her that we had done a retest of the SA but that we'd got a BFP. She wrote back and said we must have 'managed to relax' to get that result (in so many words). BOOOO to these people!!! I replied that it was hardly relaxing as my entire family were staying for the weekend at the time of conception. Grin Grin Grin

Wants - we're just about to get you some tissues...

Biscuitsandtea · 04/05/2012 17:45

Ah oh course - you relaxed!!! Yes, that'll be it HmmGrin

If only you'd thought to do that sooner! Hmm

I might just nip across to the ttc thread and suggest that they all just need to relax.....

It amazes me when this comes from the mouths of doctors, especially fertility specialists Confused. Maybe there is a point early on in ttc (you know like within a few months) where you do more harm than good if you're stressing over everything. But surely if you get through the doors of the clinic then evidently 'relaxing' ain't gonna cut it.

Did you get / are you getting the results of the second SA? Would be interesting (although academic) to know if it had all worked?

jaggythistle · 04/05/2012 18:23

go wants! can't wait for news. Grin
