And Scream you'll have an awesome birthday with beautiful Autumn - what an amazing birthday present eh?

musicalmrs · 02/05/2012 08:18

Sadly Scream nothing happened overnight - DH has had to go to work Grin. Good from my point of view - I've got lots of packing and organising to do, and he'll only criticise!

Loving you wanting to be with DD for your birthday, too. I can't wait to experience some of this baby love!

Scarlet, hope you'll be sent home today :) I also think Wants will be next!

So many chores and moving bits and pieces to be doing today. To think I thought ML was meant to be relaxing..!

pommedechocolat · 02/05/2012 08:36

The 'complete' family thing bugs the hell out of me. I keep being asked by friends when number 3 is coming and I don't think they would if we'd had a boy instead of dd2.

I've also had - oo how lovely for you, what a shame for your dh type comments a lot. SO annoying. Especially as girls are often more into daddy than mummy anyway (I definitely was growing up!).

I just can't believe I have two healthy children!

clickingtock · 02/05/2012 08:39

Thanks for the welcome and the glittery vom bucket. I was one of those annoying people in pg with DS - I didn't have a morning of MS. Payback time may well be upon me.

Ninja - a long road but once we'd discovered DP's issue and cleaned him up for 3 months (poor fella) it was really quick - thank the lord, as I was losing my nerve! - and I've heard of such tough TTC times for MNers and in RL I realise I'm incredibly lucky to have come this far, and if it's a sticky bean - well, my cup will oveflow. Grin

Look out for announcement that our pooch may also be pg. Crikey we don't do things by halves in Tocking Towers.

Lovely to see some familiar faces here. Will try to catch up with who's who here and all their news and LOs.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/05/2012 09:32

Yay scarlet I'm so pleased you're both doing so well ? I hope they let you home soon :)

:o :o scream no shame in that at all! Having the hotel booked got you through a hard few weeks pre-labour - it's served its purpose now, really :)

hawthers · 02/05/2012 10:26

Hello congrats to scarlet if I haven't already said. Suffering from a large amount of sleep deprivation at hawthers towers so I keep forgetting whether I've said comments or not Blush

Anyway, I used a natal hypnotherapy cd for vbac which had some good relaxation techniques. I ended up with another cs though so if we go for no. 3 I think it is a straight cs without even trying for a vbac. Anyway what I'm saying is does anyone want the vbac version? Am happy to send it wherever you are.

ScrambledSmegs · 02/05/2012 10:42

Checking in to see if any news from musical / Wants / Jen. Sorry, no pressure Grin

There are glittery vom buckets here?! Shock And to think I've been making do with the normal versions. I had a horrible night - went to bed early, but had a bad headache that wouldn't go with just paracetamol, and it kept waking me up. In the end I caved at about 4am and took one syndol Blush but I don't know how much good it did as shortly afterwards I was sick again. Then the dustcarts woke me at 6am...

Anyway, I think I'll have to go and get something prescribed for the ms soon. I'm starting to feel very weak and that ain't a good sign. I wish it was just morning sickness, but it's 24/7 here :(

Sorry for the gloomy post. I hate to tell everyone on the conception thread just how badly I'm doing, as it seems so ungrateful when most of them would love to be in my position. I will try to hold back on the moaning here as well, just having a very bad day :(

jenfraggle · 02/05/2012 11:12

Feel free to moan away as much as you need to Smegs. We have a large variety of glittery vom buckets here, all colours and they are special self emptying and cleaning ones too.

Tock it's lovely to see you over here

No news from here, I spent some time on my ball yesterday and then spent the evening feeling uncomfortable fairly low down but back to normal now. Being geeks interesting people, DH and me both think that Friday would be a cool birthday to have but I doubt anything will happen by then.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/05/2012 12:25

Oh smegs moan away - I whinge too, but it doesn't mean I'm not 101% grateful to be upduffed and positive it's worth it I do try and rein it in but I'm not a very good patient Blush
Hope you manage to squeeze in a nap, maybe, or at least the doctor is helpful. The headache's probably a side-effect of the ms, dehydration?

clickingtock · 02/05/2012 13:40

Poor Smegs - it sounds unbearable. I really hope you'll be feeling better as you get closer to 2tri - a whole month closer than you thought at least.

I need a synopsis update from you lot - it seems like many are v close - eg Jen. Wishing you all the biggest brookiest experiences possible...

Had my first pregnancy acupuncture today after far too many months of fertility acupuncture My v lovely acupuncturist was so excited about my BFP she actually shouted for joy! I owe her so much - the flowers and chocolates were really a massive understatement of my gratitude. She also said what a good strong pregnancy pulse I had. Grin

Can you all advise me - though I should know as I have actually done this once before Blush - is it ok to go and swim 30 lengths once a week or should I really lay off everything until 2tri?

musicalmrs · 02/05/2012 13:48

Smegs, feel free to moan away. The rest of us do! Grin You should definitely go and get something prescribed. Feeling weak definitely isn't going to be good for you or your LO.

Jen, I often get that kind of feeling after being on the ball, and after walking too. I think it may be the LO engaging and then disengaging! It's all good preparation at least :)

Tock, my synopsis: DC1 due on the 13th, so currently 38 weeks 3 days. Moving house on Fri/Sat so hoping LO doesn't choose to put in an appearance then! I'm having an UBB (Unidentified Brooking Bean). Your pregnancy acupuncture sounds wonderful! I've been so busy during most of this PG I've not had much 'me' time for pregnancy masssages, acupuncture, yoga etc - which I really wish I'd made more time for. Such is the life of the freelance musician though..

Also, with regard to swimming - are you used to do doing that activity? If your body's used to it, I think you can carry on just as before! If it's not, you have to introduce it slowly/in smaller amounts and slowly ramp it up. For example, I went bell ringing a lot before getting PG, and am still carrying it on (will go tonight if I'm feeling up to it!). It's quite a lot of physical exertion, but as my body was used to it it hasn't complained about it all - in fact I often feel better after it, maybe it's something to do with posture!

Off to do some packing now :( Think I may take a break from the (boring) study and pack/organise baby bits instead... Grin

clickingtock · 02/05/2012 13:55

Ooh Musical - am so impressed by bell-ringing, sounds bloomin brilliant! Good luck with the house move and timing. doesn't mention good friend who gave birth to her second a day after moving house Thanks for synopsis.

The acupuncture feels like a bit of a must. I'm 40 now and need the extra boost I do believe, OR I'm scared to go cold turkey after going each week for months... But I'm fit and feel v + about it all now I'm finally diffed as I had a great pg and birth with DS in 2009/2010.

Thanks re advice on exercise - I go swimming once a week and do about 50 lengths of crawl, but I think I'll cut down and do a bit of gentle breaststroke too. Other than that, I plan to take it as easy as possible with a 2yo.

clickingtock · 02/05/2012 13:57

Oh Blush btw, huge congratulations on imminent arrival DC1 - so exciting!!!!! And impressed you haven't found out the sex - we didn't either and it was a lovely surprise. Good luck with everything.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/05/2012 14:10

Bell ringing musical that's so cool! Is that, like, in a church tower?

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/05/2012 14:14

Have splurged on another lovely dress for my hollibobs and the summer :)

Also getting a lot of movement today! First time I've had proper fidgeting in my tummy; usually I have to put my hands on my tummy to feel it, but not today. It's fab and I might be doing a bit of a bottom-lip wobble Blush

clickingtock · 02/05/2012 14:17

Fluff - that's given me goose pimples it's so lovely. The kernel is jumping and you are handsfree!!!

musicalmrs · 02/05/2012 14:18

Tock, bell ringing is great! Yes Fluffy, church bells! My DH has rung for years (since tiny), and a year and a bit ago took a training course to become a ringing tutor, so him and his fellow tutors needed guinea pigs - hence me learning! Good fun and lovely people - plus it seems to have helped the slipped disk in my back - an unexpected bonus! :)

Tock, if you feel the acupuncture is a must then keep with it! I've never had any but would really like to try it. Sounds like your acupuncturist is lovely too, which always helps!

Would quite happily give birth a day after moving Grin DH has told the LO it's allowed to begin making an appearance at a reasonable time on the Sunday morning - not too early after the madness of the day before! Luckily we've got a huge changeover period - we've managed to move over some bits already (piano, instruments, books etc), as well as do some work on the house, so it's all a little less stressful :) Plus me being on maternity leave means I can spend a couple of hours each day packing/organising stuff to take over, which has helped!

We ummed and aahhed about finding out the sex! Think it's a boy, but spent the first half of the pregnancy thinking it was a girl, so am really clueless!

jenfraggle · 02/05/2012 14:31

Oh dear, these pregnancy hormones don't have make me weepy. I'm sitting here in tears after watching Stephen Hendry come out to say goodbye to the crowd. I've supported him since the late 80s and still can't quite believe he's retired.

Biscuitsandtea · 02/05/2012 14:37

I was more surprised he was still playing Blush

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/05/2012 14:38

I hear you jen - I cried when Sian Williams left Breakfast last month. I wasn't even sure I cared, but I still sobbed my little heart out Blush

:) tock

That sounds like so much fun musical!

Wants3 · 02/05/2012 14:50

Jen the boys also think Friday would be a cool birthday! A friend of ours is really into the films so would be a teeny bit jealous:).
I had an active morning so am taking it easy this afternoon. I am hoping my babiesRus parcel arrives today.

Biscuitsandtea · 02/05/2012 14:53

Am I missing something about Friday being a good birthday? Confused

hawthers · 02/05/2012 14:58

Also have zero idea what makes Friday a good birthday.

Explain someone please!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/05/2012 15:00

I assume because it'll be the 5th day of the 5th month?

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 02/05/2012 15:00

(what does it have to do with films though?? Confused )
