Yay Scarlet!!

Scream - Yuk to evil BIL. Can't you retreat to 'feed' a lot so you don't have to talk to him much?

NinjaChipmunk · 29/04/2012 11:05

go scarlet I hope it starts to progress a bit quicker for you and you have a lovely snuggly baby in your arms very very soon.

cakes I know what you mean! I'm getting sooo impatient! If your wind is consistent then I would say its actually movement as that's what it felt like for me at the beginning.

scream Autumn is just beautiful, she looks lovely and contented. You must be so proud. I'm very glad to hear the spd seems to be slowly getting a little better, here's to a speedy recovery all around.

Well another day of crappy weather here but hopefully dp will take ds swimming to the Big Pool which is Far Away Grin so I can MN and drink tea all day. I think I may also try a new recipe for rhubarb crumble muffins.

scream I agree with pomme and maybe you can retreat for a nap when she's been fed so you don't have to deal with him?

Hello just popping over to say congrats to Scream. I absolutely love the name Autumn.

Good luck Scarlett hope all is going ok.

Sorry if I've missed any other brooking babes. I've not been on MN for a while.

Munx2 · 29/04/2012 11:31

She is gorgeous scream and I concur, this is how I avoided annoying visitors...feeding in the other room Wink

Go scarlet go, not long now. Thinking of you!

Sorry for all the horrid weather and banging we have gorgeous sunshine here (sorry)!

Not sure about a Doppler fluffy worried it will make me more worried, but it is easy to use and so on?

I expect a muffin report later ninja

Sorry if I have missed things out, hope musical isn't overdoing the decorating!

I have the itchiest bump ever today, I do not remember this with dd. argh!

Bio oil not doing much. Dd fascinated by my tummy at the moment, very cute. I took a bump pic yesterday Blush !

WIBU to eat the last posh cookie considering I have already had one and had two croissants for breakfast?

Oh and I can't remember when this was discussed but I have put on 7lb and am 19+3.

NinjaChipmunk · 29/04/2012 11:43

YANBU to eat whatever you like! Mmmmm to posh cookies. I have developed a much sweeter tooth since being pg this time. I think I've put on about a stone and a half and am 31 weeks. So not too bad I think if you reckon you have a baby, fluid and a placenta in there?
Not sure what to suggest re the bump, lots of moisturising cream?

Munx2 · 29/04/2012 11:44

NinjaChipmunk · 29/04/2012 11:57

I really liked it. And the smell too.

Munx2 · 29/04/2012 12:03

Brill, thanks ninja

Totally with you on the sweet tooth thing Wink

Still can't believe you are 31 weeks!

jenfraggle · 29/04/2012 12:10

37 weeks today :)

Go Scarlet, Go Scarlet, Go!

musicalmrs · 29/04/2012 12:17

Brooking for you Scarlet, can't wait to hear your news :-)

Ninja, I know what you mean about mortgage advisors! Sadly I know more about our finances than DH so had to try and stay with it. A day of MN and tea sounds perfect.

Munx I've been using the Palmers range alongside Bio Oil - think it really helps!

My annoying FB friends have now informed the world they're at the hospital. I don't understand why everyone needs that much info!

Going to start painting the nursery today :-) as the LO will be in with us to begin with it's not a priority, but will be nice to have it done!

jenfraggle · 29/04/2012 12:28

I got DH to do the nursery a while ago musical as it is handy to have somewhere to put all the baby stuff and if it is decorated beforehand, you don't have to pull everything back out again to do it.

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 29/04/2012 12:35

Oh Scarlet, this is the longest induction known to man! Hope it all speeds up for you now.

Scream, Autumn is so cute! BTW, Autumn is a great name for auburn-haired people. V appropriate!

Munx2 · 29/04/2012 19:19

Bit of fun if anyone struggling with names.....

baby names

Hope scarlet getting on ok.....

musicalmrs · 29/04/2012 20:26

Meant to say earlier Scream, Autumn is gorgeous :) (maybe I said it earlier ? Can't remember!).

Jen, if we'd been in our house earlier to decorate the nursery I would have agreed! However, as the LO is going to be in our room to begin with, it won't matter too much - it'll be in a moses basket that was bought for us. The cot is still flat packed, and the only other furniture - a chest of drawers (that needs to be revarnished at some point!) - can be put in the middle of the room and covered :)

Sadly didn't get onto painting the nursery today, but have prepped the room and the walls. We do now have a HUGE fridge freezer and sofas in the lounge though :)

Scarlet, have been thinking of you and brooking for you all day. Hoping you're having your newborn snuggles by now...

pommedechocolat · 29/04/2012 21:25

Thinking of scarlet and waiting for news!

Wants3 · 29/04/2012 22:12

Hoping to hear news from scarlet soon too!
Interesting things happening here tonight, since about 5.30pm I have been having really uncomfortable BHs about every 15mins or so. Lots of lower down pressure too! ( tmi alert, when I went to loo something smelt a bit metallic?!)
Not sure what is going on but am just off to have a bath and get to bed.

musicalmrs · 29/04/2012 22:27

Oo-er Wants, sounds exciting! :) You'll have to update us as to what's going on tomorrow morning.

scarletfingernail · 29/04/2012 23:25

I have a DD! I can't believe it, still in shock.

I'll keep it short and will give more detail when I get chance. Ended up with EMCS at 5cm dilated as she decided she was coming out hand and arm first! Was a terrifying experience but thankfully we're both ok.

8lb 3oz born at 5.35pm

On the ways now and CS wound is already starting to hurt.

She's fed brilliantly so far, much better than her brother did and she's now having a nice sleep, I'm hopefully going to do the same. I'm completely smitten, amazing how much love you have to give, I couldn't imagine loving the baby as much as I do DS. Now I can't believe I ever thought that.

scarletfingernail · 29/04/2012 23:26

Meant to say on the ward

Biscuitsandtea · 29/04/2012 23:44

Awww congratulations Scarlet Grin. Sounds like a dramatic birth and I'm hoping that you're getting some rest and beginning to recover from that. Have they given you lots of painkillers for the CS wound?

So so eased that your dd is finally here though - congratulations again Smile Thanks xx

Biscuitsandtea · 29/04/2012 23:46

Eased? Pleased I mean!

DreamingOfPeace · 30/04/2012 01:16

Oh well done scarlet!! Shame it was a terrifying experience but thank goodness you're both ok. And a DD for you! Wonderful. Thanks Thanks Grin

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 30/04/2012 01:17

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!! Congrats to Scarlet!!

I'm sorry to hear your wound is hurting, but I hope by now the mw's have given you some painkillers to deal with that. Always ask for the stronger drugs!

Congratulations again! A DD, how wonderful! Let us know when you pick a name. I'm so happy for you!

pommedechocolat · 30/04/2012 01:32

Congratulations!!!
