Munx2 · 28/04/2012 11:23

Wow I thought it was about 30ish weeks..... It really does feel like yesterday since you got that magic line!

Good luck with your scan too.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 28/04/2012 12:09

Munx that sounds really scary! Poor you, lots of hugs and No Brooking coming your way! Your scan will be perfect, but feel free to come on here more often and vent any worries on us! That's what we're here for!

Also No Brooking for Ninja's scan to show a clear exit path!

The SPD feels better than it was thanks. Not entirely gone, but a definite improvement. I'm planning to take it easy today, and maybe attempt a short walk tom to see if I still need the crutches. Fingers crossed for no! I definitely needed them walking out of the hospital, but that was partly the cs wound. I'm hoping for rapid improvement!

Wants3 · 28/04/2012 12:50

musical ds1 came at 38 weeks and Ds2 came at 39+5
sounds exciting about moving in, sounds abit like our house when we moved in. Big gaps in the wallpaper where furniture was and boards on the floor where they took up a rug!
scream enjoy these early sleepy days and take it easy on the hips!
Well done scarlet for getting your room sorted and I hope things continue to look hopeful.

DreamingOfPeace · 28/04/2012 12:52

scarlet, sounds like my induction, pessary in the afternoon for me though, then finally the drip went up at 3am. Ridiculous, all the stats say its best outcome if you induce in the morning. Of course, as a second time mum and No Brooker it'll make no difference to you. Here's hoping mini scarlet is here already in fact!

munx, I felt similar and worried myself sick my whole pregnancy. I hope your 20 week scan is just perfect and sets your mind at ease. The illness sounds terrifying indeed.

Yay for new house musical, great you'll be in and settled before minimusical arrives.

My boys are just delicious, get smelled all the time by me but are also Bad Bat Babies of the night... Both colicky, DT2 worse, both poor sleepers at night. I'm still existing on about 3-4 broken hours sleep a night, which I'm finding exhausting while bf two. Am vile and grumpy. I miss DD as I spend so much time feeding the duo, but she's just lovely. Bossy and funny and affectionate, very sweet with the babies.

jenfraggle · 28/04/2012 14:51

Had MW appointment this morning, was 4/5 yesterday and 3/5 today, fingers crossed I don't go backwards as I have been not engaged up til this week :o

Next appointment is 15th May which is 5 days before my due date and she has said she will do a sweep for me then and another on my due date if needs be. Birth plan is sorted, instructions are to give me any needed injections with no warning so I don't have a chance to get worked up about it

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 28/04/2012 16:03

Still No Brooking hard for Scarlet! Can't wait for miniScarlet to arrive!

Yay for Jen's baby getting more and more engaged! It sounds like everything is sorted, it's getting to crunch time!

I've been reading the thread, but can't really acknowledge anything, I hope you don't think me rude.

This had better be one big wast sneeze once it comes to it cuz this is no fun. The contractions have finally started and are just starting to become painful. I've still got the propess in (no gel used here pomme and I'm on the ctg being monitored. They will try and break my watered again at 2.30 am if it doesn't happen before on it's own and then I'll be put on the drip. They seem to be of the opinion things will happen quicker after that.

Can't believe I'm still waiting! I can hear lots of teeny baby cries and I just want it to be me next.

jenfraggle · 28/04/2012 18:50

How frustrating Scarlet! It will be worth it in the end when you have your newborn snuggles, just think of that

pommedechocolat · 28/04/2012 19:08

scarlet - once the drip goes in as a second timer it will be quick. With dd2 gel and arm did basically nothing but drip went on and less than five hours later she was out.

Waiting around is the really rubbish bit of induction I do really feel for you. Brooking for you.

TheLittleFriend · 28/04/2012 19:41

Brooking hard for scarlet xx

musicalmrs · 28/04/2012 19:49

Scarlet, I hope things start progressing more quickly soon. Brooking for one big sneeze.. :)

Jen, all sounds good! Wonder if both you and Wants will have your snuggly newborns before me..

Scream, can't believe your wonderful lie in! Hope you're still in happy newborn heaven, and so glad your family have been so wonderful too :)

Ninja, great news on the valuation. Being ready in a few weeks is very exciting!

jaggy , how're things with you? And I know - how cheeky is decorating around furniture?! One piece in particular - a HUGE television unit! Though you're right Ninja, it has meant we could put our stamp on it right away :)

Filled and painted a couple of walls today, as well as cleaned all the carpets and hard floors. A few more bits being delivered tomorrow, though they could come as early as 7.30 - shockingly early for a Sunday! Anyway, all going well, and looking forward to unpacking a few boxes over the next few days (before the big move next weekend).

Did have a highly amusing moment earlier in the day when we opened a pair of curtains from Next, only to find they were different lengths - one floor length, the other not quite!

Munx2 · 28/04/2012 20:28

Popping in to brook some more for scarlet

Thanks for your lovely messages today all. Feeling a bit more positive.

So sorry musical forgot to congratulate you on the new house, here are some Thanks to help decorate Wink. Best of luck with the deliveries and decorating.

jaggythistle · 28/04/2012 21:11

still brooking lots for you scarlet

DS2 appears to be trying for baby hiccup champion, just cuddling him on my shoulder again. thought he was going to stay asleep long enough for me to get ready for an early night - not quite. oh, he just lifted his head up and peered at me as if wondering why the service is so poor...

oh well I'll have to just sit and mn while feeding for bit.

things are ok thanks musical, I'm tired but not a complete wreck this time. although DS2 is up a lot, so far he just feeds back to sleep calmly. it will be different when he wants to stay up and mess about!

oops, just had an accidental nap after feeding, must actually get into bed!

NinjaChipmunk · 28/04/2012 21:17

scarlet hope things start moving for you soon x

musical they decorated around a telly? Now that is cheeky! Enjoy the whole setting up of things and settling in. At least you can take your time getting it sorted out this week. The bit I'm dreading is the whole going to see a mortgage advisor as I have a tendency to glaze over even though it is important. I find myself drifting off and thinking about totally unrelated things like what to have for dinner...

Just adding in some No Brooking for Scarlet! You'll get through to the other side very very soon, just hang on!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 28/04/2012 23:45

Photo up of PFB...

I'll be taking it down in a day or so.

TheLittleFriend · 29/04/2012 08:12

OMG scream, Autumn looks like the most contented baby ever! She is stunning, well done you xx

Still brooking for scarlet....

Wants3 · 29/04/2012 08:25

scream she is absolutely beautiful! What a lovely photo!
Jen I am holding out until at least Tuesday as I really want him to be a may baby! Although my hip is stopping me sleeping well at night at least I can sit up and move around normally, I really admire scream for what she had to go through!
I am planning on spending today sorting the baby clothes into the different ages and sealing them in vacuum bags. The first of many things on my nesting list! I did the last few bits of Internet shopping yesterday so I have got a few parcels to look forward to this week:) We finally decided on a changing bag ( after DH spent ages looking at one that is only available in the US ATM!) so I am looking forward to that arriving.
Sorry for the long post but me and the dog are the only ones up!

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 29/04/2012 09:44

Munx have you considered buying a doppler? My movement is still a bit hit and miss, and that's helped put my mind at ease a few times.

Brooking for scarlet!

Awww scream! She looks so content :)

cakes82 · 29/04/2012 10:12

Autumn is gorgeous!!! Am I allowed to say I want one too lol? I know got to be patient,,,:o

I'm not sure i'm getting any movement or at least nothing I can decide def isn't wind.

scarletfingernail · 29/04/2012 10:45

Quick update on what is surely the longest induction process in history. Waters were finally broken at 8.30 this

morning. I'm mobilised at the moment having strongish contractions but still only 3cm. Drip will be going in shortly. This baby is definitely coming out today!

Scream Autumn is just perfect. What a gorgeous little girl.

Biscuitsandtea · 29/04/2012 10:48

Go SCARLET Go

Good luck my lovely xx Thanks

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 29/04/2012 10:59

Go Scarlet! Go Scarlet! Go Scarlet!

You're doing so well! Stay positive, the sneeze is coming! Cannot wait for miniScarlet to be with us later today!! So exciting!

Thank you all for the kind comments on Autumn's pic. After a night with zero sleep, and the prospect of a visit from the evil BIL this afternoon, it's very cheering to hear nice things!

Apologies for being too zonked to read back properly and respond directly to people. Hope to do better later on.
