Getting a bit pissed off to be honest. I'm still on the ctg waiting for a doctor to check me over. Induction hadn't even started yet. Now they're on about sending DH home later as it's unlikely labour will start properly tonight.

And I'm in a 4 bedded bay at the moment and just overheard the woman in the next bed say she's had a sickness bug all week. FFS.

Thanks for all the good wishes, hopefully it won't be too much longer.

Biscuitsandtea · 27/04/2012 20:01

Oh goodness - hope they sort you out pronto! Will they move you from the 4 bedded bay once the induction starts.

I would be Hmm about DH going home. DH actually said he wouldn't go home this time if they tried to send him but would camp out in a coffee shop or a waiting area somewhere!

musicalmrs · 27/04/2012 21:10

Indeed Fluffy, today was keys day!

All went well! There was one of those Shock moments when we looked at the house empty, and DH had a bit of a freak out - basically looks like all their decorating etc was a bit of a botch job - around furniture etc. Carpets also a state!

However, after upping his positivity, buying a few bits and making a plan of action for the decorating, all's wonderful - feels a bit strange that it's ours! Having to decorate a couple of walls over the weekend because of painting around furniture, and I need to clean all the carpets (which was my plan anyway), but nothing that can't be sorted after a weekend of work :)

Wants, when were your other DSes born (as in, at how many weeks)?

Jen, I had the same problem with TENS machines, but finally managed to get one! Glad Biscuits can help you out :)

Scarlet, so sorry it's taking ages :( That's rubbish. And even more rubbish that they're talking about sending DH home. Brooking that they sort you out quickly. If I were in that situation I don't think my DH would go home...

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 27/04/2012 21:36

Go Scarlet, go Scarlet! Tell them t get stuffed re sending DH home - you are about to have a Brooking Sneeze birth and therefore there won't be time for him to get home and back!

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 27/04/2012 22:49

Scarlet I'd like to second Too's point!! Hope your sneeze birth is already over and your DH was there for every moment!

Yay for Musical's keys! Glad you were happy! So exciting!

I take back every mean thing I've said about my family, they've been wonderful today. Didn't turn up until we asked them to, helped DH shift all our furniture back where it belongs, brought LOADS of yummy home cooked food like shepherd's pie all in individual Tupperware portions for freezing, changed a particularly gruesome nappy, and generally showered Autumn in worship and adoration Grin They've been pretty perfect today, can't tell you how much they've helped emotionally!

DreamingOfPeace · 27/04/2012 22:50

No Brooking for scarlet, hope things are moving now n dh still there

DreamingOfPeace · 27/04/2012 22:51

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 28/04/2012 07:46

jaggythistle · 28/04/2012 07:56

aw that's nice that your family surprised you with how helpful they were scream. :)

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 28/04/2012 08:15

NinjaChipmunk · 28/04/2012 09:19

go scarlet go! And if anyone goes to sick bug lady then tries to touch you, spray them with hand gel (all over if neccessary!)

scream families can be brilliant sometimes Grin glad yours have risen to the challenge! How does it feel to be at home?

All this talk of tens has reminded me to get one on order. I must stick it on a list somewhere.

musical you could look at the redecorating as it forcing you to put your stamp on it straight away? I'm sure it'll be lovely once you get it cleaned and your stuff in there.

Well yesterdays valuation on the lfat was pretty much the same as the first which is good, although the first guy was much more proactive. Hopefully DP will ramp up the diy this weekend so we can be ready to put it on in a few weeks.

What is everyone up to today? And how are all the new mums getting on >jaggy, dream, too, pomme, biscuits etc etc etc??

scarletfingernail · 28/04/2012 09:23

Aw you guys are fab! Sadly no sneeze birth happening here.

They finally got round to me at 2am this morning, a whole 10 hours after we were meant to get started. I can't really complain though, it did seem manic and apparently they had a lot of emergencies.

scarletfingernail · 28/04/2012 09:30

Posted too soon.

Anyway I grumped a bit to the midwife in the end because everyone coming in to the the supposed induction unit was actually being assessed instead because they were short on space. But everyone was coming in with sick bugs saying they were leaking water when they were being sick, hence wanted to check it wad only wee. I said I wasn't happy to be sharing a bathroom and they then put me in a single en suite room which is where I've been since 11pm.

So, they tried and failed to break my waters at 2pm but ended up having the propess pessary and I've been waiting to start labour ever since! Contractions have started but only very mild at the moment. I'm just annoyed with how tired I am before I've even got going.

Hope the rest of you have great weekends.

scarletfingernail · 28/04/2012 09:32

Meant 2am.

DH went home at 3am and was back here for 8. We're both exhausted. DS apparently keeps asking if the baby's out yet! I'm missing him loads already.

NinjaChipmunk · 28/04/2012 09:39

aw scarlet you poor sausage, at least you have a private room. It would have been daft for them to leave you with lots of sick people. Are you able to get any sleep this morning before the contractions kick in a bit harder?

OP posts:
pommedechocolat · 28/04/2012 09:47

Ask for the gel scarlet! That'll be their next step I'm sure but it's much better.

Brooking for it to start soon and go quickly. See you on the nightshift tonight for sure.

ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 28/04/2012 10:31

Well done for Brooking No Argument with all the sick bugs around Scarlet! Definitely a good move and I'm so glad they've given you a private room. I'll be upping the No Brooking to previously unheard of levels today! Your pain free sneeze birth will be over soon!

Yay for Ninja's valuation as well!

Would you believe I'm STILL in bed, and Autumn's been asleep since around 7. That's an actual certifiable lie-in! Shock I'd better feed her again now, and go start my day! Grin

pommedechocolat · 28/04/2012 10:36

If anyone deserves a lying in baby (who knew they existed?!) post pg it's you scream!

Munx2 · 28/04/2012 10:45

Good luck today scarlet am upping the brooking......

Autumn sounds like a wee doll scream congratulations again! Enjoy the newborn snuggles

Morning to everyody else, hope the imminent sneeze birth brookers are doing OK and not in too much pain?

NinjaChipmunk · 28/04/2012 10:50

Munx2 · 28/04/2012 10:54

Hiya ninja

Had a very funny turn where I started burning up and suddenly couldn't form proper sentences, felt sick and dizzy and just very very scary.

Plus have had lots and lots of stretching pains in my uterus alongside my sacroiliac dysfunction starting again.

Midwife ordered me to docs ASAP so duly went.

Yes, can't believe how quickly time is going myself......how are you doing?

Struggling running after DD and dealing with all this tbh, thank goodness for DH he is an absolute star ATM.

NinjaChipmunk · 28/04/2012 11:01

Oh munx how very scary, that sounds awful. Glad to hear mini munx seems to be fine though and yay to your dh. Hope you feel able to relax a little more after your scan, do let us know how it goes.

OP posts:
Munx2 · 28/04/2012 11:10

Will do, I wish the doctor had listened to the hb at least for me. The MW didn't at the 16 week appointment, so it has been a long time since the 12 week scan.....

I am feeling odd little movements here and there but will feel so much better after the 8th and when the regular movements start.

Sorry a bit me me me today.

NinjaChipmunk · 28/04/2012 11:17

My mw didn't at the 16 week appt either as she said her equipment wasn't sophisticated enough and it often causes more worries if they can't find a heartbeat when actually all could be well. Excellent you are feeling some movement though.
We have our next scan on friday to check the placenta has moved out of the way of the exit route. I can't believe I'll be 32 weeks then! Seems like yesterday I got my bfp!
