Scream are you still thinking of going in for monitoring today? Or not if you've stopped being sick? Hope you're still feeling better today x

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 20/04/2012 09:57

cakes measuring like that has now been largely discredited, I think - I'd really recommend going into a shop (I love Bravissimo) and getting measured properly (if they're really good, they can do it by eye!). I only went up one size - now a 34FF (I probably actually need a 34G but the underwires end up round my back Hmm badly designed or what) - but that was pretty early on like far, at about 10 weeks or something. They've not grown any more since, but I just have the one that I handwash overnight because I'm tight because I anticipate ditching underwires in a month or two.

scream 2 weeks of isolation sounds like bliss! We'll probably be having DM, DF and DSis around pretty frequently as they're sooo excited but they're really practical and helpful so it won't be a chore. MIL & the extended ILs rarely come to us (2-3 times in the past 6 years, at a guess) so I will likely escape that pleasure hee hee hee

Lovely new thread Ninja :)

Scream, good luck with the discussion with your Mum - I hope it goes well. With regard to driving, I'm the same with short legs and a currently massive bump! Maybe I'll trial it over the weekend (DH currently has the car at work) and see if it's physically possible. At the same time, Biscuits gives me hope! :) I could hop in a taxi, but I hate paying money out for something so simple :P I can easily walk between the houses, so it may be that the piano movers have room in the front of the van and I can go with them - but if not I think the cheapest/most sensible option will be to drive over. There should be some chairs and sofas at the house by that point, so I can always spend some time recovering before getting back on the road!

Just had an appointment with the consultant re my back. Seems to be pleased with how it's coping, and said baby was engaging well though I can't read his scrawl to tell me just how engaged it is :( Will just have to wait until I see the MW next Friday.

A lovely quiet day here including ironing, some admin work, removal people coming round to quote, and potentially buying lots of new furniture online Grin. Poor credit card..

Very exciting that there could be several brooking babies in this thread.. including mine! Shock

NinjaChipmunk · 20/04/2012 10:09

fluffy love the name change. Also neverenough please please can you remind me of your previous name as I have completely forgotten it and its bugging me! And I know you were a namechanger, I just feel the need to 'place' you (sorry, I know its just me being odd!)
scream hope you are managing to keep stuff down today? Let us know how you get on.
Well I've been on the phone to schools and schools admissions, looks like we will just have to sit it out and possibly change our order of preference. He is 16th place on waiting lists for 2 schools and 23rd on the other so not too bad and if we move in the next 4 or so months that order will change anyway. Places get reoffered on 21 may so will see what happens then. So another month of waiting waiting waiting. Meh.
BUT the sun is shining and we are off to a friends this afternoon. biscuits glad to see you are training little Ethan quickly on the tea making front Grin and hope all other brookers are ok? I'm off to make crumpets. and more tea I think.

I'm shopping for a maternity swimming cozzie and it's bugging me how all the pictures have the model with their hands on their bump. I don't want to see their hands, I want to see the swimming costume!

That doesn't sound too bad, ninja - finger crossed for you and DS :)

NinjaChipmunk · 20/04/2012 10:22

that's just reminded me i need to try my normal cossie on as we're going on hols on may! thanks fluffy!

JoJo Maman Bebe has lovely stuff Fluffy

Morning all!

My back is going downhill fast, I already can't sit on the floor with DD as I can't get back up again.

Munx2 · 20/04/2012 10:27

Mamas and Papas?

My holiday tankini is from there, very comfy and well cut.

FluffyJawsOfDoom · 20/04/2012 10:28

Oooo thanks Munx - Jojo Maman Bebe has some lovely stuff, and quite reasonably priced too!

Munx2 · 20/04/2012 10:29

3 for £15 bra deal

For those needing new ones!

My maternity bras are all from John Lewis, they do a £10 maternity bra and I get one in black and one in white. Mind you I need new ones as my boobs are not behaving the same as in my pg with dd.....

But cannot even entertain going to be measured with a toddler in tow!!

Munx2 · 20/04/2012 10:31

I went into their shop for the first time when on holiday, I was very excited to see one!

I got a lovely top for work. I am a size 12 and medium seems to be perfect.

I think their small is 8-10 and medium 12-14 and large 16-18. I asked in the shop as I couldn't try it own, again due to having child in tow!!

Are you getting very excited about being away now?

scarletfingernail · 20/04/2012 11:11

Mmm well I'm definitely having some new twinges this morning. I can take a few steps and then have to stop as it feels like the baby might fall out Shock. I've forced myself to do the food shop for the weekend, if something is happening I thought it might help it along. But I've got home and sat down and things seem to have calmed down. I think my bump has dropped and I can also feel that the baby's bottom is lower down than it was yesterday, so maybe it's just been engaging further.

Great new thread Ninja, I hope you get the school thing sorted out how you want. We'll be going through it with DS this time next year, I'm not looking forward to it.

NinjaChipmunk · 20/04/2012 11:49

oh scarlet how exciting! maybe plan a long (slow) walk to encourage the baby into the exit route? I shall be checking in throughout the day to see if you sneeze out a baby

OP posts:
ScreamIfYouWantToGoFaster · 20/04/2012 12:41

Thanks for the concern ladies! I am feeling much better today and won't be heading into hospital for monitoring. I didn't puke once last night Shock which enabled me to have a really good night's sleep! Luxury indeed! I feel like a new woman today Grin

Loving the talk of bras and swimming costumes - I love a bit of internet shopping!

Musical I hope your credit card survives the furniture buying frenzy! Mine is still hiding from me after all the extravagant wholly necessary baby purchases! Also, fingers crossed that, just like the lovely Biscuits, you'll be able to drive no problem!

Ninja, Never is none other than our very own Hawthers. Fingers crossed that your DS moves up those waiting lists really fast and you have a better school offer by 21st May! The whole schools process round here is so stressful! Can't say I'm in a hurry to get to that stage!

Scarlet oooooo so exciting! Want to say more but Mum's at the door...

scarletfingernail · 20/04/2012 12:42

Good luck Scream with The Chat Smile

TooImmatureTurtleDoves · 20/04/2012 12:52

Hello everyone!

Biscuitsandtea · 20/04/2012 13:36

Oooooooooh! Scarlet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll never be able to concentrate on my shopping now!

On the topic of which I am at Tescos and they have one car seat trolley. Which is in use! I've got to have a man push E round in another trolley because he's too wobbly of head to go in one of those that they lie in (I reckon) and if I out him in the trolley there's no room for my shopping Confused

GO SCARLET GO

TheLittleFriend · 20/04/2012 13:47

Marking place x

scarletfingernail · 20/04/2012 13:57

Concentrate on your shopping Biscuits, there's nothing to see here Grin
