From my online calculating, that puts the due date at Jan 20th, ish, 2013.

This will be my second, DS is currently 20 months old.

I'm so exciiiiiiiiiiited and I can't tell anyone yet! Also, I am looking for a new job and we're talking about buying a house. Crazy, moi?

Lots of close friends know about our baby. We have had two scans and seen a heartbeat and they would be a great support to us if something went wrong. We are on the optimistic and positive side of things. I won't be able to keep it a secret at work for much longer as I just look really pregnant. I have a bump and it's hard to hide. I am only nine weeks but this is my fourth baby and my tummy muscles have given up!

Question:How worried are people about Downs? I'm aware that it I spossible to get a low risk for Downs at the nuchal scan but still go on to have a Downs baby.
Do many people have amnios anyway for peace of mind? Or play the numbers game and hope that you aren't that ONE?

I gag massively every time I brush my teeth and yak up at least 50% of the time. DS thinks its funny. He's just at the stage of wanting to 'help' me brush my teeth as well and I have been encouraging that to get him to let me do his afterward.

I had this last pregnancy too. Right til the sodding end .

Nobody knows about this pregnancy yet barring PILs because DH couldn't keep it in - he works all day with his dad so it would be hard not coming up in conversation. I'm 11+4 now so only a few days til we know for sure.

My dad is babysitting on tuesday for the scan. He doesn't know what its about, just that I have an unspecified appointment. I'm really hoping we have good news when we get home and a picture to show him.

No bump yet, but I am using hairbands to hold my jeans together. That might have something to do with the vast amounts of junk I have eaten in the last 6 weeks though

Hope all are well (as can be that is).

The last time I had a Nuchal Scan I was told the measurement and the combined result there and then after the scan. It turned out that time that we came out with a 1:43 chance of downs which is considerably high. We ended up opting for a CVS rather than an Amnio as they advised that we would have had to wait until we were 16 weeks to have an amnio and I just had to get it over and done with. You can have a CVS at 13 weeks so we went in the next day. I was only 28 at the time and of relatively good health so it just goes to show that it isn't necessarily age specific etc.

I'm quite anxious about this 12 week scan (29th July) as you can probably understand but I was reassured by my midwife at my booking in appointment that there are a number of reasons that we got that result the last time and it doesn't mean to say it will be the same this time as every pregnancy is different. I'm holding on to this with dear life!!

As for when to tell people, I can understand why some wait until after the 12 week scan. But in all honesty, not waiting to say anything isn't going to affect the outcome in anyway and I agree with with SquealyB , I think if something were to go 'wrong' I'd rather my friends/ family/close colleagues were aware so there was some sort of understanding. I have been on the otherside of the coin before when people didn't know I was preg and it all went horribly wrong and I was talked about to the point of chinese whispers (catch my drift).

But each to their own.

Hello all - back from a week away. Doing all inclusive when you can't drink just seems wrong, and doubly wrong when you have to keep skiping pudding as it's got uncooked egg in it (god those mooses look good, DH assures me they weren't, as he stuffed yet another one down...) .

Also suddenly big (although that could be all the food I've eaten this week), on Friday last week when packing I tried on a couple of pairs of shorts that fitted, by Thursday I couldn't do up either.

We've told both sets of parents and siblings, but no one else, I figured they are going to be people we talk to if we get bad news. I'll tell work as soon as I can after the 12 week scan (assuming all goes well). I see no reason to tell before that.

Is anyone else suffering with travel sickness at all? I've really struggled.

Had told a few friends which I'm really glad about now because I/we will really need their support. My line manager at work knew and bless her she's already said to take as long as I need.

Weather was great when away but food terrible, have lived on nutella crepes and spag bol - not what i was hoping for in Crete. Meantime, have got letter for first appt with midwife on the 24th June - who knew they worked on sundays?? but still no date for scan - just want this to happen quickly so I can start to share....

I hadn't realised we were scan buddies too! I just keep thinking "only another week.... Only another week..." It's driving me nuts!! My hubby won't let me look at anything baby related until after the scan. Had a sneaky look at New Look and H&M maternity stuff just now but thankfully nothing jumped out that said I must buy it! He's very superstitious about buying stuff before it's born - even buggy etc. I'm hoping he'll snap out of it and realise that some stuff just needs to be bought!

dontmind was it u mentioned travel sickness? I've always had it. But do think at times while being preg its felt worse and takes longer for me to feel better when I'm out the car.
I have my 2nd early scan on Tuesday which hopefully will show something better than last week otherwise I think I have a blighted ovum. My symptoms have been mild and seem to come and go so I can't get much of idea of Wots going on. But I'm not cramping or spotting which for now I'm thinking is a good sign.By my dates I am 8+3 today.

I think with the CVS or amnio you have a 1 in a 100 chance of it causing a miscarriage. So if your Downs risk from the nuchal test was less than 1 in a 100, you would have more chance of miscarrying a healthy baby as a result of the test than of finding out you are having a Downs baby.

I am having also having a dilemma around telling people. I have told some close family and friends, who I would want to know even if things did go wrong. However I have just found out we will be going to a family party in a few weeks (DP's family), everyone will be there; aunts, uncles the lot. I will be over 12 weeks but it is the day before my scan. I don't really feel comfortable with everyone knowing before the scan so guess I will have to keep it quiet.

I'm now trying those sickness wrist bands and I did sleep better last night and seem to feel better - so who knows! However, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to hide it during the week....hmmm. I'm now feeling very attached! I'm still exhausted though and am definitely starting to show!

Ladies,Im gonna put this out there!Are any of u really full of gas/constipated?Its doin my head in!my tummy looks bout 6 months n think its mainly windy pops! Any tips? My hubby thinks its v funny as my tummy is always making weird noises!x

All the time but worse at night when I lie down, I sound awful. Tmi as well but still suffering from slow digestion, and not going for days and getting so uncomfortable. Can't wait for it to improve.

allchik I know from last time how severe, debilitating and unfunny this was/is so was all geared up with prune juice (highly recommend), tastes cack but keeps everything in order. Obviously its revolting but dilute with nicer juices helps.
Wait till they try n get you on iron tablets.........you'll never shit again!

Only when I wipe, was pink last night then nothing all day n brown tonight.
