Well girls, the vomiting has started in earnest here and I'm remembering how bloody awful it is! All I've kept down today is a few mouthfuls of diet coke and a crisp sandwich. I had to get groceries when my older kids finished school and it was all I could do tI get round the store without puking or keeling over. On the plus side, symptoms as strong as this surely must be a good sign?

Hope everyone waiting for news gets good news. xx

godzookey · 05/06/2012 13:25

hi ladies,
Kim 222 I totally understand, off on hols on Saturday so can understand that you want peace of mind before you go! I was instructed to go back to the GPs today with the urine sample - I saw a different Dr to the lady I saw before who questioned a) why was I back with a sample and b) let me know that GP1 who hadn't filled me with confidence hadn't faxed any of my paperwork off to the hospital so not in the 'system' in terms of getting fixed up with a scan date, midwifes appt etc - GREAT!!!

Thanks for the advice on exercise PMGKT, cartoonface and Salt 1, think i'll pick it back up when i'm back from hols - i tend to go spinning and do zumba so maybe a little less of the jumping around in zumba - know what you mean about not wanting to shake anything loose!!

theboutiquemummy · 05/06/2012 17:57

Big hugs to all the girls going through tough times right now big hugs.

Anyone else feeling just a bit fed up with vomiting, nausea, sore boobs, fat fannys, wind Blush and anxiety that everything is ok but not being able to tell anyone what's going on ? Sad

Would go crazy if it weren't for this x

PricklyPickle · 05/06/2012 18:10

Grin Grin Grin at fat fannys. Oh boutique you are funny.

MarasmeAbsolu · 05/06/2012 18:16

well - with work's weekend away, it was a bit difficult avoiding the following combo un-noticed:
loads of booze (some of my absolute regional favourite too, which everyone know I LOVE), seafood risotto, cured meats, sushis, soft ice creams, gazillions litters of strong coffee... yes, the lot!
A - I was gutted to miss out on favourite foods
B - it was so bloody obvious that everyone got it pretty much sussed out at the first food/drink rejection.

Crap thing is - now a few too many people know; last time round I had told no-one until week 20+. Scared of jinxing it somehow.
Second crap thing - got some light pinkish discharge the last two days, which freaked me out quite a bit, even if it seems quite common at 9weeks when I look online.
The sickness has subsided a bit too, which should be a blessing, but just adds to the worry - can't believe how second time round is more stressful. Last time, I knew nothing about all that stuff, got zero symptoms ever, and enjoyed blissful ignorance....

Hope you are all well and ready to return to work tomorrow....

lazycoo · 05/06/2012 20:04

Haha fat fannys lmao boutique! So true! Totally fed up with symptoms too. The worst one for me is the politely-named 'sluggish digestion'. Urgh. TMI sorry.

Also hoping you all are ok, especially those who are having bleeding xx

marasme wow all that temptation! Well done for resisting lol.

Shattered. So glad of the jubilee weekend, I've just slept and slept. The problem is waking up with morning sickness every time!

Is sickness/ other pregnancy symptoms kept anyone off work yet? Actually worried about this week. If I get as tired as I have been this weekend I'll curl up on the floor and cry.

cartoonface · 05/06/2012 21:39

Godz u do spinning! The thought of it makes me feel sick! I can only just about cope with zumba.
Fat fannys wtf!

God I wish these first 12wks would go quicker

pmgkt · 05/06/2012 21:59

i have just been talking to DH and said I still have 30 weeks to go ..... 30 whole weeks that seems like a lifetime doesnt it.

PricklyPickle · 05/06/2012 22:15

30 weeks to go sounds like a ridiculously long time, but on the flip side we've already done 10 weeks which means we're a quarter of the way there. I realised that today and scared my DP half to death!

pmgkt · 05/06/2012 22:37

That does sound better. I can't wait to feel like I have more energy again. Before you have no energy again at the end.

Norfolkinway · 06/06/2012 05:34

i'm pretty much symptom free too, had very mild nausea and i have the lovely thing that is constipation but apart from that i'm fresh as a daisy! I kinda wish i had a few more symptoms to put my mind at ease

pmgkt · 06/06/2012 07:04

Don't worry too much Norfolk, I had no symptoms last time and it was fine.

cartoonface · 06/06/2012 07:07

norfolk I'm pretty much the same as u. I'm 7wks 2mora. When is everyone finding their symptoms have really kickedin?

CheapTarnishedGlitter · 06/06/2012 08:07

Morning all...

Really sorry to hear all the bad news over the long weekend... and to add mine to it, but I'm bowing out I'm afraid. Bleeding got worse over Saturday and carried on for Sunday accompanied by lots of aching. Had a bfn this morning so will just check up with docs to make sure there's definitely nothing left behind that's going to confuse my body later on.

Have spent the weekend feeling pretty crap but going to try and focus on the positives. Good to know that we can conceive - four cycles felt like an eternity but in the scheme of things I know it's not that bad really. Also will have a very large drink at the weekend.

Best wishes to everyone else for lots of good news and happy times - I think I'll lurk from time to time to see how you're all doing :) hugs to everyone x

mrsbugsywugsy · 06/06/2012 08:47

Sorry to hear that Cheap but glad you are able to focus on the positives. Enjoy your Wine and please do come back and check on us all!

octanegirl · 06/06/2012 09:13

I'm really sad reading about peoples losses. It really emphasises how fragile things are early on.

I spent the weekend at a house party - everyone else having a grand old time drinking for Britain, and there's me, not drinking and always going to bed early. They must have thought I was the dullest person on the planet but I couldn't set the record straight so felt like a killjoy all weekend. Plus one of the girls confided to me that she'd miscarried two weeks before so there was no way I was going to tell her the real reason for not drinking - poor girl.

Worse, I ate too much to make up for not drinking and managed to put on 2kg.... Whoops. Diet for a few days as I practically can't do my jeans up....

octanegirl · 06/06/2012 09:23

Oh and I have decided to go for an early scan next week. Partly because I'm curious as to the exact date and partly for reassurance. I'll be 9 + 1 by then.

mrsbugsywugsy · 06/06/2012 10:51

well the post just brought me a cheap bra I ordered from ebay. It's my usual brand but two sizes bigger than usual and has smooth rather than lacy cups, and my god, the relief! Anyone who is still squeezing into their usual size, I'd advise you to go for it.

Glad I only bought a cheap one though as my boobs are already filling the cups.

cartoonface · 06/06/2012 11:22

How many wks are u bugs? 6days till my early scan I'm really nervous!

LetThereBeCupcakes · 06/06/2012 11:29

So sorry cheap. Take care of yourself.
Octane - when is your scan?

Booking in appointment on Friday - little bit apprehensive but mostly looking forward to things seeming a little more real.

Hope everybody is looking after themselves.

octanegirl · 06/06/2012 11:34

cupcakes it's on Monday evening - and booking in appointment is the following day!
I need to but a bigger bra too, but what's the next size up from 32 D?

Birdies · 06/06/2012 11:40

cheap I'm really sorry to hear that. If you do come back on here, keep us posted so we hear the good news when you're next pregnant - hopefully it will happen for you soon again and things will go really well for you next time. Take care xx

mrsbugsywugsy · 06/06/2012 11:41

Cartoon I am 7 weeks, follow-up scan is tomorrow. I am petrified. All being well, I have my first midwife appointment the day after.

It must be so hard for you to wait when you have had a previous mc too. Are you having many symptoms?

I think I've actually lost weight since being pregnant - I find it hard to eat much when I am feeling nauseous and worried, plus I think I was carrying a bit of a beer belly before Blush. I don't look great though - I have bags under my eyes and a massive coldsore.

mrsbugsywugsy · 06/06/2012 11:43

PS Octane I have gone up one back size and one cup size. I don't really need the back to be any bigger yet, but I can do the new one up on the tightest catch so there is room for expansion. So I'd try a 34DD.

LilBlondePessimist · 06/06/2012 11:43

My sister is a 32FF or 32G, so you can get them, although she struggles to get cheap bras (think asda maybe now do a range).
