LaTristesse · 02/05/2012 20:39

Well done Liz and Bananna, was the building work done in time?

WhenDoISleep · 02/05/2012 20:45

Congratulations banana

spannermary · 02/05/2012 21:01

It's your turn next, WhenDoISleep! It can't be long now...I'm thinking you'll have a Star Wars baby (May the 4th be with you...) Wink

All the best. Smile

Congrats to you all on your snugly newborns!!

WhenDoISleep · 03/05/2012 17:08

Thanks spannermary.

Saw the CMW yesterday and had a sweep - some interesting grumbling last night but nothing developed. Saw consultant at the hospital today to discuss when to schedule IOL (something I really want to avoid). He was very straightforward and sensible, happy to let me go post-42 weeks if I want, just made sure that I was aware of the risks and the fact that I would need to go into the antenatal clinic for monitoring etc. in the end I have opted to book for IOL next week, when I will be 15 days post-EDD. The MW he had with him thought it odd that the CMW hadn't just booked me in for then anyway. Had yet another sweep, this one was a really good hard one - felt much more like I remember from last time with DS1. Hope the outcome is the same. Apparently I'm now 2 - 3 cms and waters are bulging so considered opinion is that I'm unlikely to make it to Wednesday. If I do have to go for IOL, I'm feeling more reassured as the hospital will bring me in in the morning, and given my current status I down for ARM only and no augmentation (obviously depending on ctxs starting asap). I might even still make it onto the MLU so a water birth might still be an option.

Congratulations gimme

Nordicmom · 03/05/2012 17:19

Congrats gimmegimme !

LaTristesse · 03/05/2012 19:34

Bunsouttheoven · 03/05/2012 23:29

Congratulations gimme impressive size! Well done youSmile

Fingers crossed then when that your baby will join you of it's own accord, sounds promising. Good luck

Bearcrumble · 04/05/2012 12:15

Congrats gimmegimme.

Whendoisleep Hope it's not too long for you to wait. x

bushymcbush · 05/05/2012 11:42

I'm feeling very tearful as I have just caught up with all your births - I was the first to give birth (and the smallest baby) so I haven't been back in a while as I've been too busy looking after my preemie!

Martha is now 8 weeks old and slowly gaining weight - she is still only 5lb now! But doing well.

Massive congratulations to all of you wonderful April mums.

marshmallowpies · 05/05/2012 23:04

Congrats to the latest new mums & hope the rest of you are cuddling babies soon!

Can't believe I have an 11 day old. She is just too sweet for words & every day gets more fun. We are getting her back up to birth weight but I will miss her being so tiny & newborn.,,,Sad

JambalayaCodfishPie · 06/05/2012 08:44

Congratulations to all the new mums, and apologies on the lack of stats - haven't been on the computer to do it, just mumsnetting one handed with my phone!Smile

It's all gone quiet around WhendoIsleep...hopefully this means you are so busy with your lovely new baby that posting on here is the last thing on your mind! :)

WhenDoISleep · 10/05/2012 10:35

Just to round off our antenatal thread I would like to announce the birth of DS2 on the 4th May (as predicted by spannermary). Unfortunately we have been in hospital since the birth as DS2 was discovered to have an infection which needed antibiotics. We were finally discharged last night and arrived home shortly after 8.

I'm going to hop across to the post-natal thread and will try to catch up and post my birth story.

spannermary · 10/05/2012 12:40

Congratulations, WhenDoISleep! sorry to hear about the infection...it's great that you are home now, and ready to get on with getting to know each other.

I'm also quietly pleased to have picked the day Wink

Bearcrumble · 10/05/2012 16:28

Congratulations, WhenDoISleep - sorry about the infections but glad you are home now. See you over on the postnatal thread. x

Bunsouttheoven · 10/05/2012 23:17

Congratulations when on your new ds, well done. How good is it to be home again? Great I bet. Smile
