HollyPockett · 23/04/2012 13:26

Congrats twittle. Going in for my induction tmrw, hope it's a little easier than yours! I'd like an induction story a la beyond please! Gorgeous name btw!

Tinwe I'm the same as you, lots of signs etc but as soon as I go for a rest it all stops...

KatieBMumsnet · 23/04/2012 13:39

Hi there April 2012-ers! We're looking for MNers to try Aldi's newborn nappies, if you're interested in taking part please add your details here.

Please pass this link on to any other MNers who have just had a baby or are expecting in the next few weeks. If you have any questions please PM me :)

Thanks

Bananna1 · 23/04/2012 16:21

Booked in for sweep Friday and Monday - let's see if baby waits until then. And it's no longer back-to-back :)

marshmallowpies · 23/04/2012 16:53

Unbelievably my baby is breech again at 40+5 days so it's hi ho, hi ho, off for CS I go tomorrow.

Just trying to relax a bit now & eat a ton of food until i have to go nil by mouth!

Not really looking forward to the operation as I've never had a serious operation before but all the stories of ELCS on here are very positive & the main thing is I finally get to meet her!

HollyPockett · 23/04/2012 17:07

marshmallow your daughter is a wriggler isn't she!? mine just sticks her bum out and gives me the oddest shaped stomach ever!

I'm going in for induction tmrw and I'm not looking forward to it at all, I realllllly don't want to stay in hospital :(. BUT I'm just thinking to myself that I'll actually have a daughter soon rather than a big belly :o

Good luck with CS tmrw, will be thinking of you

Thaleia · 23/04/2012 19:05

Marshmallow - breech baby, hm ... so is mine. You take it much easier as I did although all is fine now. Good luck for tomorrow, hope all goes well!

I feel absolute s*t today. Woke up with a headache and it stayed with me all day long, can't breath either and feel really, really upset. A few things still need to be done, last set of clothes to be washed and a bit of reading re breastfeeding, flat needs to be cleaned after my babyshower yesterday.

I'm only online because I wanted to check if I'm in labour. Don't think so, but who knows? Please, please, please could the little on stay in for another week. I know it's crazy to plan to go overdue by 5 days but I really hope I'll manage. Or he'll manage?

Good luck to everybody.

Twittle · 23/04/2012 20:05

Good Luck for tomorrow HollyP you will be fine, honestly induction can be different for everyone and some people actually prefer it and I know lots who have a really postivie experience, I've decided that actually I'm one of those people that is just not cut out for childbirth Blush!! The main thing is that you will soon be holding your baby - just focus on that and you will be fine!

confuzed90 · 23/04/2012 20:14

Congratulations to everyone! Hope we all have our babies soon :)

HollyPockett · 23/04/2012 20:33

Thanks Twittle. It's the thought of the unknown that I hate!

Thalia hope you feel better tmrw. Headaches are just the worst, maybe it's a phantom hangover after your babyshower :)

Tinwe · 23/04/2012 22:38

So, Holly nearly D day for us both. I'm willing it to happen tonight instead for both of us :)

Felt v uncomfortable/in pain all day and feel so close, just not tipping over the edge. Not sure if I'll be glad to go into labour to get it over with or not... feeling v nervous about it all now!

thepuddingchef · 24/04/2012 07:28

good morning,
really thought things were kicking off last night, contractions every 15 mins, but as soon as I went to bed they went to every 30 mins or so, then nothing Sad
just don't know what to think now, just feeling very sorry for myself. I don't remember feeling like this with my other two, prob just very tired. I do feel better reading posts from you ladies though, at least I know I am not the only one feeling a bit fed up.

Bunsouttheoven · 24/04/2012 09:01

Good luck for today Holly & marsh, hope your births are smooth & the baby snuggles perfect.

Congratulations twittle on your new dd, well done.

Feeling for you ladies waiting, eventually we will all be on the post natal thread together bleary eyed, sore boobed & emotional

Nordic hope all is well

WhenDoISleep · 24/04/2012 09:05

congratulations jambayla and twittle

holly and marshmallow hope everything goes smoothly today and you have your babies in your arms soon

mummylivmade · 24/04/2012 10:58

Congratulations jambalaya and twittle on your lovely new arrivals.
Best of luck to Holly and Marsh for today.

marshmallowpies · 24/04/2012 12:51

We have our baby girl at last! She arrived at 9.21 weighing 8lb exactly.

The whole CS experience was very strange & in the immediate aftermath I felt awful, but you start to feel better v quickly once you get into recovery.

Baby screamed for the first 2 hours non stop when I was trying to have skin-to-skin...she seems happier dressed in clothes but perhaps she was a bit chilly.

Now waiting to see a midwife to help get some food in her...my nipples are a bit flat!

So relieved the CS is over & just can't get over how lovely she is. Very fair blonde hair with a touch of ginger & everyone in the theatre & recovery room was cooing over how cute she was. (bet they say that to all the mums... Wink)

WhenDoISleep · 24/04/2012 13:14

marshmallow congratulations - lovely weight too. Do you have a name for her yet?

Tinwe · 24/04/2012 13:14

Congrats marsh, Niamh (8oz) arrived at 8.33am today after a short labour. Had a water birth in my lovely MLU afterall :)

Tinwe · 24/04/2012 13:19

Just noticed marsh we have twin weights - 8oz :)
How's it going holly?
Any word from Nordic yet?

Bearcrumble · 24/04/2012 14:31

Congratulations, Jambalaya, Marsh, Twittle and Tinwe* (Niamh is a lovely name)!

Marsh Caesarians are just plain weird aren't they? Hope your recovery goes smoothly. My boobs were pretty flat until day 3, so don't worry. The colostrum is super-concentrated.

Holly - Hope things happen for you soon.

Nordic - Hope all is well with you and new DD.
