Nothing to report :(. Except that the Diva has hiccups!! Looks like induction on Tuesday for me...

beyond, what a gorgeous name, love it. Congrats

Cubtrouble · 21/04/2012 18:51

WOW lots of babies been born since i last logged in!! Well done new mums!!! How exciting!!! Hope all are doing well!

I am overdue now, only by two measly days. Booked in for a sweep Thursday but hoping something might happen by then. Had period pains on and off all day. Obviously got really excited/nervous until i read in the book, if they arent close together and painful they are false contractions. Well thats a bummer!!
So I am trying to keep busy and finish off a few jobs. Mr Cubtroubl has gone to work to leave me in peace, he was fluttering round me- most amusing!!

I am trying my best to be patient!! I have my stuff ready by the front door. My poor mum is going to burst if I dare ring her once more!!

So more waiting for now!!

LaTristesse · 21/04/2012 19:26

Lovely name Buns, hurrah!

justhayley · 21/04/2012 21:44

Hi all what a week! havnt had time to catch up with all the posts on here yet, but I'm
Sure there's been a few New April babies born this week Grin
I only got my little man (who is still waiting for a name) home on Thursday, after an incredibly straight forward birth he's had a pretty shitty first week Sad
He was taken into special care a few hours after birth as his sugar levels were dangerously low, since then hes had a million blood tests and been pulled around poked and prodded. His heals and hands are so bruised from all the blood tests it's horrible, if it wasnt his sugar levels it was jorndis or an infection. Officially i was 38 weeks pregnant but iv been told that either he stopped growing at 35/36 weeks & it wasnt picked up, or my dates were out which is very possible as we were not going my LMP. Hes finally starting to grt strong & is doing well. can't imagine my life without him, Im shattered & so glad not to be pregnant anymore.

I hope you ladies are all well - iv actually missed having time to chat away to u all this week.

Xxx

justhayley · 21/04/2012 21:48

Arh congrats beyond - lovely name, I actually want Noah as my little ones middle name I love it! DP went to school with one and isn't so keen so iv been working on it all week - this is where sex would come in handy lol

mummylivmade · 22/04/2012 08:43

Congrats beyond hope all is well amd your home.
justhayley poor little boy and poor you sounds like you have really been through the mill. Hopefully now your home things will settle down and you can get more rest.

Bearcrumble · 22/04/2012 10:37

Congratulations, Beyond - so happy for you.

Good luck, Nordic - hope all goes smoothly and you get to bring her home soon.

Hayley So sorry to hear you've had a dificult time. It's so scary when they are in SCBU and you feel incredibly fierce and protective of them when they have to have blood taken (but also totally impotent at the same time). I'm glad you are home. You do soon forget once they are thriving. (un-mumsnetty hugs to you).

Bunsouttheoven · 22/04/2012 11:07

Oh Hayley what a stressful time you have had, you poor things. Glad your boy is stronger now & you are all home to start family life togetherSmile

Nordicmom · 22/04/2012 14:06

Glad your little one is doing better Hayley !
It's unreal that tomorrow by this time we should be holding our baby girl !!!!! CS scheduled for 7am ( first to go in ) , 1pm your time....

JambalayaCodfishPie · 22/04/2012 14:08

Ooooh, Nordic, Im so excited for you!!

Hayley Am glad all is ok with you both now, rest up!

Today is my due date! Whoop whoop! Grin

thepuddingchef · 22/04/2012 14:35

JambalayaCodfishPie Mine too Smile although there are no signs of anything happening today. How about you? Any twinges? I'm booked for a sweep a week on tues......so ages away. Think this one might be a May baby which is soooo not what I wanted as it's chocca full of birthdays already.

JambalayaCodfishPie · 22/04/2012 16:10

No real twinges pudding, nothing I hadn't been feeling for the past few weeks anyway!! Grin

My sweep is booked for Friday, may decline though, will see how I feel - my bump is tiny, and it's boredom that's getting to me most - and that doesn't seem like a valid reason to push things along!!

OP posts:
Bananna1 · 22/04/2012 17:11

Must all feel a bit surreal Nordic - can't wait to catch up with all your news tomorrow after it's all happened :)

I'm 40+1 - no signs here either pudding and Jambalaya. I've got midwife tomorrow but going to decline a sweep (in the hope that baby stays in and the builders and electrician finally finish this week!).
Hoping to see midwife again Friday and have one then - DH's mum arrives in the UK for only 2 weeks next Sunday, so having baby Saturday, at 41 weeks exactly, would be perfect. Are you listening to my carefully executed plan baby??!!

marshmallowpies · 22/04/2012 17:24

I'll be 40+4 tomorrow when I have a hospital appointment - so will take the sweep if it's offered.

Would love her to be out on Mon/Tues, not be lingering on to the end of the week or next weekend, as my parents are down next Sunday/Monday (not staying with us, though!!) so I'd ideally like to be back home with baby, had a few days to myself, and be ready to introduce her to grandparents and cousins at the weekend. That might be a bit of a pipe dream, though.

Done curry, brisk walks, raspberry leaf capsules and all the other stuff this weekend. No twinges, no nothing. I'm now over a week behind the last of my NCT mums, too...I feel like I'm out of sync with everyone else!

Tinwe · 22/04/2012 21:50

Hi again all!

Hayley sounds so stressful! Hopefully things will settle down for your little boy, he'll keep getting stronger and you can get on with adjusting as a new family now :)

marshmallow and bananna hoping your babies appear according to plan. DH has given us the all clear now the formula one has finished for the weekend so I'm hoping DD2 has realised that :o

nordic not long now, how exciting for you! Wine

We're 41 weeks today. I see my name is working its way towards the top of the still due in April dates... Still no sign here either. Not been doing all the traditional labour promoters (curries etc) but have been trying to keep active with DDs birthday party yesterday and housework today. Had strong stabbing pains in my cervix all day and intermittent contractions but no obvious progression so still thinking I'll need to be swept on Tuesday and still dreading it. Will be thinking of you being induced that day holly

justhayley · 22/04/2012 22:00

Thanks for all the well wishes. It was horrible not being able to protect him & look after him how I wanted, but the care team were amazing & did everything possible to keep us together & get him strong quickly.

All you overdue ladies I would highly recommend acupuncture to induce labour naturally. I had a few sessions during pregnancy which sorted out what ever was bothering me at the time - ie hips, back, itchy skin, lack of sleep etc, also was having it to make my labour quicker. had a session 3 hours before my contractions started. honestly believe my labour wouldnt have been as straight forward without it. (4hours no pain relief). Even if it does nothing it def relaxes you which helps - worth a try I reckon.

Can't quite believe iv had my baby for a week already I want time to stop so I can enjoy him for longer.

marshmallowpies · 22/04/2012 22:16

hayley so glad you both got good care & now can get on with enjoying him at home!

I signed up to donate cord blood for the Anthony Nolan trust so getting acupuncture is a faff: I'd need to give the hospital details of who had performed it & proof of their qualification, before they can approve the use of my blood. V annoying...just an extra layer of bureaucracy.

Could do reflexology but pity any person that has to go near my feet and verrucas.

JambalayaCodfishPie · 23/04/2012 00:32

Well.... Er..... I just had a baby. Grin

Baby Girl, 6lb15oz. Born at 9.50pm, April 22nd - her due date. Clever girl. Smile

Mega fast labour - she was born an hour after hospital admission.

All good here, little bit shaky but very happy. Smile

Bunsouttheoven · 23/04/2012 07:00

Congratulations jambalaya!

marsh hope the sweep is successful today.

tin hoping your contractions properly kick in today

Nordic I'll be thinking of you today at 1pm, hope dd has a safe arrival & that first cuddle with your new daughter is wonderful. you'll be together at last.

LaTristesse · 23/04/2012 08:49

Top news Jambalaya well done you. I understand about scary, it took me about a week to stop being scared at the memory of my fast one!
I think your DD knew you had a stats list to update so she had to be quick about it!

Best of luck at lunch time Nordic, will be thinking of you!

Bananna1 · 23/04/2012 09:03

Tell us how you managed that Jambalaya, what fantastic news, congratulations Thanks. What a clever baby!!

Tinwe · 23/04/2012 09:20

So so so cheesed off Envy

Last night the stabbing cervix pains got v bad (grip the sofa and bite my lip type) and every few seconds, contractions came every few mins and were v strong, constant bad back ache, constant need to pee, baby wriggling/grinding away, bump v low etc etc. Rang MLU as last time it was evident what to do but this time was less sure - they said monitor contractions and see in an hour. Was so tired and decided to be sensible so went to bed and slept in short bursts between contractions, kept waking up in pain... but by this morning it's all amounted to nothing AGAIN! Think lying down eases the pressure and stops everything. One saving grace is that I didn't call out MIL in the middle of the night for DD!

All signs/symptoms still there today (except contractions) so I'm v sore and tired and grinding when I move (poor baby's head), don't know how I'll go on today with DD... Surely it can't be long now? :(
