Hi peeps, I'm not angry/upset hormonal but just forgetful/stupid hormonal I was v bad with DD2 put wrong fuel in the car, got locked out (twice) forgot purse and had to leave shopping trolley of groceries (all 3 supermarkets!) had minor bumps in car (twice) basically I was a danger to my self and others!Grin
it hasn't got that bad yet but b4 I got BFP I was telling DD1 off for not bringing spoon back from school, DH says what the spoon in the fridge?! Oops never even went in her lunch box, also "lost" a pair of shoes, on blatant show in bathroom, and just keep going in to kitchen (or another room) and completely forget why I'm there! Think DH is going to get me a carer or minder this time!

StrawberrytallCAKE · 26/04/2012 10:16

Oh lord, I'll have the sick bag on hand. X

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 26/04/2012 10:40

felt awful for the last few days and i look about 12 weeks not 6 weeks, people are obviously guessing but not saying anything in case im just fat :) hehe need to go shopping for maternity jeans coz mine are just plain uncomfy! I've been extra snappy but mainly when i'm feeling majorly sick!

might have a nap soon, soooo tired :)

hope everyone has a good day today

CODwidow · 26/04/2012 10:54

Feel slighty reassured after almost throwing up all over asda floor! Blush
Had to abandon the shopping and literally run to the loo.

We'll be finding out as dh just can't wait and I could never let him know and not hassle him! I've seen the most gorgeous outfit in m&s but it's pink and I still cant believe that may be a possibility after my boys.
I've also picked my changing bag, pram umm found maternity jeans all this while telling myself I should be waiting for scan ooppss ! :)

VegemiteSandwich · 26/04/2012 11:12

I see where you're coming from - I've already bought a bump band and a maternity t-shirt (had to hide them from the husband though, he'd think I'm mad!).

Today's exciting news is that guess what I've got my scan appointment it came today in the post woo hoo!

They've also put in some papers about participating in a pregnancy outcome prediction study. It involves two extra scans, plus free extra photos, which I think might make the additional blood tests worth while! What do you ladies think?

PurplePidjin · 26/04/2012 11:25

Do it, Vege! Unless you have a needle phobia or it would cause problems at work, whyever not Grin

I got my aptamil polar bear today Blush

FriendofDorothy · 26/04/2012 11:27

Saw the nurse today to get referred tot he medical specialist group (it's all done differently in Guernsey!)

Everything is fine. She didn't go on massively about my weight which was a relief although I will get additional scans and glucose testing to check for diabetes.

My only concern is that I have chest pain today. Saw my GP this morning and he didn't seem overly worried but maybe I am a bit anxious.

I have been offered nuchal fold screening but will probably have to pay for his privately. Does anyone know anything about this test, what it entails and whether it is worth having?

nocluenoclueatall · 26/04/2012 11:30

Clueless just reading back on missed posts and heard your sad news. I'm so sorry, I hope you're okay. A big unmnetty hug to you x

nocluenoclueatall · 26/04/2012 11:35

To everyone else - I am soooo tetchy. Really, really horrible. Last night I almost woke my husband up to tell him to stop breathing so loudly. So far my only symptoms seem to be:

Turning into a total bitch
Extreme exhaustion / laziness
Even more uncontrollable hunger than usual
Total inability to drive

And that's it. Actually, now I read that back, that's pretty much waht I'm like normally too, on a bad day. Boobs are sore and the most recent stick weed made a nice dark line so hopefully all is well. After last time I'm not getting too excited (if anything, I'm a bit scared) but I do at least have the first scan booked in: 7th June and an official due date of 18th December.

Note to self: keep thinking positive thoughts... keep thinking positive thoughts...

brooke89 · 26/04/2012 12:27

I'd do it vege for the extra scans! Smile

Counting down the hours till Monday for my scan and praying there is going to be a heart beat!

I've turned into a moody bitch as well and also incredibly emotional - burst out crying in morrisons because they didn't have my favourite juice..... Crazy hormones!

KMR281 · 26/04/2012 12:47

hi,
I'm another newbie - just POAS on Tuesday - ! This will be baby number 3, is will join ds1 who is 7, and ds2 who is 4. I am totally scared, as not sure there is actually room for another child in our house, or that my pelvic floor will survive! Can't get through to the booking-in people on the phone, so i'm not 'official' yet....
I am feeling really tired, and a bit nauseous in the morning, but nothing too bad. Belly is already feeling big tho!

Glitterfairys · 26/04/2012 13:39

Hello all ,
Another newbie here too . I'm pregnant with my 3rd due 28th December I think. Ive got a 7 year old and a 2 year old.Not really had many signs yet ,just tiredness and a bit queasy but that's about it. Looking forward to the 12 week scan , that seems to make it more "real" then .

Bellaboo123 · 26/04/2012 14:23

Afternoon all...

Need a bit of advice/help/sanity check...its my first and for the last two days i've been feeling really unpreganant...i've still got sore boobs - but not as sore, i still feel tired - but not as tired...i don't feel sick like i did and i'm not having so many food aversions...i'm really worrying something is wrong. I've hadn't had any spotting or anything...I'm 7 weeks today and have my first mw appointment on Saturday.
Am i being stupid or should i be concerned...help please!

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 26/04/2012 14:44

Bella just feel relieved you feel human hun, basically anything is normal with pregnancy and everyone is completely different!

I had a siesta this afternoon which got rid of this morning horrible sickness but it didn't make me any less tired, go figure!

NarcolepsyQueen · 26/04/2012 15:08

Bella - I find it comes and goes. Try not to worry!

Barbeasty · 26/04/2012 15:29

FriendofDorothy the nuchal fold scan gives a risk factor for Downs syndrome. Depending on the factor, you can then choose to have further tests.

CODwidow my SIL had 4 girls, then a boy and then another girl, so you never know.

Hi all! Welcome to KMR, glitter and elllie and any other new joiners I've missed. Congratulations!

Purple I've had 3 or 4 lots of spotting so far, red blood each time, but have also had 2 early scans as I might have panicked a bit and all has been fine at both. Honestly try not to worry. The sonographer told me, there are many women who have bleeding and few symptoms and have no problems, there are also some women who have all the right symptoms and no bleeding and have an mmc (not sure that bit was so reassuring Confused) so we should all really try not to read too much into these things. Easier said than done I know!

I finally got my booking in appointment, it's next Friday. Work are going to get pretty suspicious about all these hospital appointments I keep having ...

Does anyone know, do I have to call up to book the 12 week scan, or will they do it automatically now that I am "in the system"?

Ah ok, thanks issimma. How many weeks were you when you had your booking appt? I will be 10 weeks so just wondering if I'll still be able to get a scan at 12 weeks or if it might get delayed...

acjfluff · 26/04/2012 17:06

I got my booking appt and scan dates through the post today! Very excited!! Booking next Tues but scan not til 28th May so feels like ages to wait.

Still no pregnant symptoms, my 2 random queasy mornings were probably tiredness and my boobs don't hurt much any more so sounds like how you feel Bella. Also my 1st and no idea if it's normal as I expected to be sick by now! Confused

FriendofDorothy · 26/04/2012 17:14

We will have to pay privately for nuchal translucency screening, about £200, so I am trying to work out whether it is worth it!

Bellaboo123 · 26/04/2012 17:21

Thank you so much stacey acjfluff and narcolepsy i do feel a bit better now...its just the unknown and i'm reading about all these different sypmtoms and driving myself crazy. I'm a terrible worrier as it is!

Can't wait for my MW appt on Saturday...only 2 more sleeps.

Clarella · 26/04/2012 17:31

Errr well that's me off with a sick note for a week due to slapped cheek case !?!?!?

Still slightly shocked. I was really really beginning to enjoy my class at the mo!

CupOfBrownJoy · 26/04/2012 17:37

that worries me Clarella - we had an epidemic of scarlet fever (same thing?) last term! I googled and apparently its not dangerous! Will raise it with my gynae next time.

We have to pay privately for the nuchal etc too. I don't think I want it - is anyone else planning on turning it down?
