Mw appt on Saturday...it can't come soon enough!

mwahmwah · 25/04/2012 21:48

Nice it's not just me that's name pondering!

What about sex (ie the baby's sex not the other...)? Is anyone going to find out? I haven't with the last two so not going to this tine either, its a supersticious thing!

livismum · 25/04/2012 21:52

Arrggghhhhh eating one of my daughters Easter eggs and it tastes really funny! Think my taste buds are gone, not enjoying chocolate, this is a major problem Sad

Bellaboo123 · 25/04/2012 22:01

Is anything else suffering from regular indigestion? Any suggestions to help ease it?

MyDaydream · 25/04/2012 22:03

If I stopped enjoying chocolate I'd never forgive my baby. Like my mum never forgave me for hating coffee. She did milk it a bit by not drinking the stuff until I was 19 though. Really wanted to let me know what I put her through.
We're finding out the sex I think, I don't like surprises. Not put too much thought into it but think I've always had the assumption that I'd want to know.

Clarella · 25/04/2012 22:35

Hope all are ok.

Should I be worried about slapped cheek in school?

Odd set up, we're two schools in one, share whole building classes next for to each other in each year grp - mine special school, t'other is mainstream. We share whole school spaces entirely. It's in the mainstream at mo but the aim of the school is inclusion so all mix up at play where possible...

Is it direct contact?

Clarella · 25/04/2012 22:38

Am sure you will be ok purple - fingers crossed for u.

Livs, am a chocoholic who now hates chocolate :( but I guess it can only be good as I have the self restraint of a hungry labrador right now.

mwahmwah · 25/04/2012 22:41

My daughter had it when I was early preg with ds, 2 different docs told me vast majority of people have had it in childhood (even tho our mums won't remember) so r immune. Very low risk of adults contracting it. One of the less well known childhood illnesses when we were kids so our parents prob thought nothing of the rash and didn't get it diagnosed.

Clarella · 25/04/2012 22:57

Ok thanks, panicked confusion on Times ed supplement website about this topic with teachers being sent home etc. I seem to have had most stuff and the amount of drool and other body stuff I come into contact daily with my lot will probably immune me for life for anything (one snotted and sobbed on me about a Mario and luigi toy all afternoon - literally 2 hours. )

Clarella · 25/04/2012 23:11
  • now worrying again! Looked at nhs and had joint pain during week 5 - 7 which I put down to pregnancy - also highest risk is wks 9 - 20 - curse Google and touch screen phones!
StateofConfusion · 26/04/2012 00:05

So sorry clueless if you feel upto it there's a lovely group in conception I'm part of since my mmc, really kind and supportive.

Anyone else achey? From my ribs down to my toes I ache! Oh and my head too!

Chloe55 · 26/04/2012 03:26

Welcome elllie quite a few Christmas babies on this thread Smile

Can't sleep, feel sick.........

Not sure about names, also not sure about finding out-I think we will as I bet I can't keep my gob shut at the scan Grin

Must try and sleep..........

Barbeasty · 26/04/2012 06:06

Clarella- give your midwife or GP a call and see what they say. I don't know whether it's like chicken pox where they can check your immunity, or whether they would do any follow up.

At least they can try to put your mind at rest.

Can you ask not to do any supervision of the other school's children, and to be notified/ moved if it spreads to yours?

I need to remember to ask the midwife today about the fact DD had chicken pox right around conception. I'm hoping the fact it so early on, and that I never came out in spots, means it's completely fine.

Clarella · 26/04/2012 06:26

Thanks barbeasty and mwah, seems trouble is it has 20 day incubation with no ill effects and this is the infectious time so Ill have to get a test to check immunity. Not sure how seriously to take - some teachers are sent home till results back, doubt I will! Manic hand washing today....

CupOfBrownJoy · 26/04/2012 07:21

Clarella I looked into this and on the NHS website they said there was no risk?

mwahmwah · 26/04/2012 08:19

Morning sickness and trying to keep this quiet from my boss, oh Gawd, roll on 5 o'clock :o(

NarcolepsyQueen · 26/04/2012 08:31

Morning ladies! Checking in with my BFP for DC#3 Grin Not at all sure of my dates as I came off the pill, took antibiotics and also had a sickness bug. I think I had a bleed on 16th March, but unsure if it was a peiod or due to stopping pill. I am putting down EDD as 21st December, and will have to wait and see what dating scan says! With my last 2 pregancies I measured 21 weeks at 8 weeks - so preparing to look like I am having triplets again! I am still breastfeeding DS (11 months). I get gestational diabetes, have an underactive thyroid, and get award winning SPD (wheelchair bound just after 1st trimester usually) - let the fun and games begin! Hope you are all well.

Cookiesandcream06 · 26/04/2012 08:55

COD I had a couple of days where I felt a bit better and along with my spotting (purple you are not alone!) it really worried me. But honestly I've had a scan since and everything is fine. I'm hoping that placenta is somehow kicking in early at 7 weeks but I'm sure I'll be feeling sicky again soon.

I keep looking at baby clothes when I'm doing the food shop.. There's no doubt in my mind I'll have to find out.. I've literally picked baby grows I want for a boy or for a girl. The white/neutral ones were horrid.

Is anyone else turning into some sort of evil stroppy witch? And I mean horrible. Having a go at DP for literally breathing, having 0 patience with DS, earlier I had such bad road rage I literally wanted to run someone over? Iiterally hate myself so dread to think what those around me think of me?! Confused

PurplePidjin · 26/04/2012 09:02

Thanks Cookies Thanks

We want to know too. However, anyone asking inane questions like "what are you having" will be met with "a dragon"

Grin
Chloe55 · 26/04/2012 09:12

cookies yes, wanted to gouge dhs eyes out last night for eating too loudly Grin I was like this when pg with dh but strangely dh always comments on how chilled and pleasant I was for the 3 months I was pg with the one we lost-so perhaps, for me, it's a good thing I'm a bitch Grin

Chloe55 · 26/04/2012 09:12

I obviously wasn't pg with dh, I meant ds Blush

StrawberrytallCAKE · 26/04/2012 09:29

At airport now, eek! Very nervous about the flight as I am a bit scared of it. My ears have started popping which happened in my last pregnancy (not due to flight) does anyone else get this?

I would like to find out the sex but dh doesn't. Last time we didn't and I was quite off my face when he told me it was a girl that he could've told me it was a rabbit and I'd have said 'oh good'. I was obviously thrilled when I realised after 10 mins or so but this time I want to be the first to find out (and be sober).

Cookiesandcream06 · 26/04/2012 09:39

purple I had spotting with DD as well. It's always a worry and I literally get scared to go to the toilet. This time round has been worse but DP has been constantly telling me not to worry.

chloe literally the sound of him chomping away on a chicken bone last night - Grr Angry but seriously I can't get over how much of an irritable BITCH I am, irrational, having a go 24/7. I'm trying to be nicer Confused but failing Hmm

strawberry I flew the other week it was only a two hour flight but upon descending I did start wondering where I would throw up if it came to it. I found water and mints to be helpful. I was very lucky my ears didn't go funny and they usually do. Happy flying Smile
