Hi all,
Hoping to snare a few of you who has just found out the great news like me, to share the journey and have a big moan about all the lovely effects pregnancy has on us!
It's no.2 for me!

Thanks for your messages re dh, think I'm gonna have another word with him later as although he did apologise I still feel that he has to be aware his behaviour towards me (what he says, not physical) is out of order at times. Don't get me wrong, sometimes he's a star.

teajunky that sounds utterly miserable Sad Are you just letting your dh stew a bit? Is it solvable? Chin up, hope the next few weeks are less stressful for you.

Welcome to all the newbies Grin

TeaJunky · 22/04/2012 19:33

Chloe - sounds like a plan.
Yes I'm letting him stew - for however long it takes for me to feel better to be honest. I don't care if it takes a month or two or longer.

PurplePidjin · 22/04/2012 19:34

I'm 8+2 (since lmp) but just had an email from cow and gate --I want a cuddly cow) about being 9 weeks pg.

Am I 8 weeks or 9 weeks? Confused

CupOfBrownJoy · 22/04/2012 19:55

OMG just looked at the list and annelid is on DC number 7!!

I'm excited and nervous about my first gynae appointment tomorrow. It'll be lovely to have it "official", I just hope everything is ok! I have an (irrational?) fear that the doctor will tell me I'm a wally and I've got it all wrong and I'm not actually pregnant Blush

CODwidow · 22/04/2012 21:11

Just popped in to say hi and so glad I found you all!! :)
Ms has certainly hit and lasts all day which is lovely.... Not!
Luckily dh is being very good (strangely) offering to help with cleaning and the boys but I'm not complaining and I've told him how much I appreciate it.

brooke89 · 22/04/2012 21:16

Hi ladies, hoping I can join! I am 6+2 and EDD 14th Dec! MC last February at 6 weeks so already chuffed that I'm further than last time Grin Congratulations to everyone with BFPs xx

MyDaydream · 22/04/2012 21:29

Welcome to the newbies.
Tea junky, that sounds awful hope it all turns out right eventually. I know the stress of hating where you live, but can't imagine going through it pregnant.

I just spoke to my mum for the first time since I've found out and I felt like I was lying to her not saying anything! A few times I was about to tell her but stopped myself, she told the whole world and his dog last time an I really want a secret for a few more weeks at least.

nasara · 22/04/2012 21:52

Yay, found you all! Holy cow, that is one long list Grin

Got my 3+ on a digi this morning - hurrah! Maybe I will stop doing my daily tests now Blush...

VegemiteSandwich · 22/04/2012 22:07

Oh TeaJunky you poor thing. Good that you have your family looking after you, though.

I am now 6 +5 and feeling just dreadful. I wonder if it is because I ran out of lemon and ginger tea? Annoyingly, I will drink one brand and one brand only of the stuff, and that involves the husband trekking across town to get it (which he did today, lovely chap).

I feel like I have put on a stone over the last 3 days (the scales tell me that I've put on 2 kgs - about 4 pounds I think) and I do actually look pregnant but I think that's just bloat from feeling yucky and eating non stop. Eating is the only thing that helps!

Had an afternoon nap - read somewhere that lack of sleeps makes the "morning" sickness worse.

blackcurrants · 23/04/2012 03:01

Hello everyone! Welcome and congrats to the newcomers.

It's 10pm and I'm going to bed. Should have done it an hour ago but I started cleaning the kitchen and there was so much to do!

We're supposed to be scrimping and saving at the moment, as we're talking about moving house, but I have mentioned that if our twice-monthly cleaner goes, DH will be second out the door! (I may have been joking. But he got my point. Oh yes indeed Grin). No, we can't afford her, and no, I will NOT be doing without her. And he agrees!

Much rather play with DS than clean the bathroom. Specially now he's getting into 'let's pretend' playing. Though there are only so many times I want him to land on my swollen, bloated, sofa-lying self while he is a frog....

ok, bedtime! Happy Monday, to all who are reading this in the UK! :)

SpottyTeacakes · 23/04/2012 08:09

Will be making my doctors appointment soon. In shaking, hot and my hearts going. I think the worst thing they could say is 'we will wait and see'. Fingers crossed everything's ok!

FriendofDorothy · 23/04/2012 08:40

Morning all. Hope all are feelign well. Nothing much to report here other than sore nipples and what, I think, is the beginning of some nausea. I think I am quite pleased to feel sick as I haven't felt pregnant at all and I keep thinking someone is going to tell me this is all a big joke!

lauraloo09 · 23/04/2012 08:50

morning guys - not sure what to do woke up during the night and i had quite a lot of discharge linda like at the time of ovulation didnt think much of it and went back to sleep. woke this morning went to loo and there was even more discharge like egg white but with a slight colour to it. i cant remember this happening with DD and dont want to bother the midwifes at the early pregnancy unit but starting to worry and quite anxious...should i call them??

CODwidow · 23/04/2012 09:39

laura I had that last week and quite a few people mentioned they had too. Maybe ring them if your concerned?
Well sickness is well and truly here for sure.

Only another 10 days til booking in appt and that means scan date will be sorted. Going away fri to Devon for a long weekend so time should pass quickly x

lauraloo09 · 23/04/2012 10:09

i work directly below the EPU at the hospital here so decided to go up and see them. they gave me a scan and i saw one healthy 7+2 embryo and a lovely strong heartbeat. they reassured me and took a swab and I feel miles better now, at least i now have a photo i can look at whenever i feel im not pregnant lol will try and upload it to my profile it is very clear easily see the head :)

Barbeasty · 23/04/2012 10:43

Lauraloo, that's fab.

Purple- is that you are 8 weeks pregnant, but in the 9th week? If you think that the 1st week of pregnancy is the bit between 0 and 1 weeks that makes sense. I think some of the online calendars work like that.

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 23/04/2012 12:22

hi girls, i found you finally, you are all very chatty over the weekend :)

well sickness has stepped up a notch and i tire really easily but i'm doing ok!

my walk on saturday went well i just had to keep eating, i wasn't complaining :)

hope everyones little ones are hanging in there

CupOfBrownJoy · 23/04/2012 12:28

I'm getting so excited about my first doctors appointment tonight!! Grin

DP keeps texting me to say he's really excited too..... I can't wait til 6.30!!

I'm 5+5 so I can't imagine they're going to do anything much. Even so, it'll be nice to have it "official".

PurplePidjin · 23/04/2012 12:46

I've come to the conclusion that I'm 9 weeks pg in the same way that we're currently in the 21st century Confused

My cow and gate cow arrived today and is very cute

And I've finally managed to get the phone number for the midwives round here, just need them to answer the phone now

Shangers · 23/04/2012 12:56

Hello Dragon ladies! (For those of you who didn't see on the other thread it's the Chinese year of the Dragon until Feb 2013 - v auspicious to have a baby this year!)

Strawberrytallcake - I find the confinement thing really interesting too. I had my DS here too (I'm British but we've lived here nearly 5 years) and I was quite adamant with him that it was a ridiculous idea and I was desperate to be out and about within a couple of days (think it was a bit of a feminist "women are not weak!" thing!) but having had one child now I can actually see that they probably know a thing or two about it!

i still don't agree with the no showering for a month thing (after birth?? yuck yuck yuck!!) and the no-aircon (in 40 degree heat!!) also not sure about the whole keeping the baby inside for 100 days..... and a lot of women basically only have the baby with them when they're feeding it. Having said that, I do think that the special nutritious food, rest as much as possible, generally hibernate thing does sound like a good idea! I didn't have any help at all last time - was determined to do it all myself. This time I think I'm going to be much more sensible - I guess I won't have any choice with a 3 year old to run after as well! Our families don't know yet but I'm sure I can convince my parents to come over for the birth (especially as it's Xmas too!) so I'm going to accept all the help I can get and just enjoy the time spent as a family..... am also very tempted to try the massage that says it gets the organs back into place - the Chinese seem to pop back into shape within minutes!!

Are you going to give it a try Strawberry?

Is anyone else considering a doula? I really wanted one with DS and didn't get one .... not sure at what stage to contact them though!

Stacks · 23/04/2012 13:05

Afternoon everyone. Just marking my place on the new thread from work. I've been utterly exhausted since last week, so not managed to do much.

I've not heard anything about booking in appointments from the midwives. My doctor did say she'd refer me on to them, but that was a couple of weeks ago. I guess I'm only 6+5 so there's no real point me getting in touch with them to chase it up right? When did others get their appointments through, and how much notice did you get?
