Out tonight at a work social thing known for enjoying a glass (read bottle) of vino...antibiotic excuse will be coming out!

Starting to struggle to do top button up...grrrr!

Scan booked for 6th June was hoping for before jubilee weekend so I cld then tell peeps news...oh well hey ho!

Anyway yay it's the weekend! Enjoy all! GrinGrinGrin

Barbeasty · 12/05/2012 11:55

Hi. Managing to keep up with reading the thread, just not with posting!

I'm getting lower back pain, but I think it's from carrying DD around.

I had my booking in last weekend, and the midwife has recommended a c-section after lots of tearing last time. So, we'll see what the consultant says when I get referred.

CODwidow · 12/05/2012 13:20

So bloated today, making me feel miserable Sad plus this stinking cold has appeared with vengeance. Just having a real bleurgh day.

But on the upside no sickness this morning so perhaps that's on it's way out Smile

PurplePidjin · 12/05/2012 14:50

I've sobbed 3 times already at Goodnight Mr Tom Hmm

Just had a two hour nap-lovely! Dd still asleep but I has to get up for some food. Feel yuck again today I really can't hack another seven weeks of this!

Clarella · 12/05/2012 17:30

After the depths of despair last night (about going back to work worrying about slapped cheek and schools still total lack of risk assessment) an excellent come back, gentle jog this morn and swim this afternoon!

Food aversions definitely easing as is constant eating silly things, definately need to eat more but have more control! 11+3, not long now!

Catching up on great British menu - mystified by 'pea puree spheriphication' - what's wrong with just peas?

mwahmwah · 12/05/2012 17:50

Ha ha ha clarella i thought exactly the same with gbm!

BennettsBloke · 12/05/2012 18:04

Mrs BennettsBloke due on Crimbo Day. Just checking in. Hello all. :-)

SpottyTeacakes · 12/05/2012 18:07

Welcome Bennettsbloke Smile

How's the morning sickness treating you?

twobecomethree · 12/05/2012 20:16

Evening all. Well this week has been tough, ms has hit me! No sickness, just horrendous queasiness, and I think there could well have been sickness if I allowed myself/was not in work :( Shattered too - so all in all I'm a bundle of fun!! Think I'm 7+1 today so not sure how I can last another 5 weeks like this but nevermind the end result will be more than worth it.

Anyway - how is everyone else? I'm glad that we've had a few days without sad news now. I'm thinking about getting a private scan as can't wait another 5 weeks + for dating scan on NHS. Does anyone know if there's a 'best' time for early scans? I was hoping to get one for end of next week maybe, so would be somewhere 8-9 weeks.

CODwidow · 12/05/2012 20:51

I think after 8 weeks is good as they can see heartbeat then. I was sure my scan appt would come today but no Sad really want to know now that everything's ok but 9+3 today so hopefully only 3 weeks at the most to wait Smile

Started today with good intentions food wise but still ate too much rubbish! I must do better tomorrow Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 12/05/2012 20:56

I just ate two massive bowls of coco pops Blush

PrunellaDeVille · 12/05/2012 21:59

little bean may not be causing me to be sick but it has turned my hair grey Shock anyone else noticed this new and vexing symptom - ok so i'm probably due a few greys as i'm 33 but i've never had a grey hair until the last week.

10+1 today and still worried by lack of symptoms (apart from the above which might of course not be related). today i've convinced myself i need to brace for bad news Sad, been having repeated mc nightmares.

on a positive note, at least i won't have to wait too long to find out how things are - i had what looked like being a 35 day cycle in March but the Dr has plumped to work out my figures from day 1 rather than considering the day i pretty much know i ovulated so putting me further on than i believe i am. so they've given me a scan that falls at 10+6, hooray for small mercies Smile.

hope you all get your scan dates soon or sooner, this wait is interminable.

CODwidow · 12/05/2012 22:14

prunella strange you should say that I found my first few grey hairs yesterday, I'm 27 and never spotted any before!

I'm also worried about lack of symptoms all of a sudden and I think as my last mc showed itself in my 10th week I'm preparing myself for it next week. I do try and stay positive but doesn't seem to last long!

SpottyTeacakes · 13/05/2012 08:26

Feeling really sick today which isn't good as trying to pack for our holiday Sad

PurplePidjin · 13/05/2012 11:19

Forgive me for I am about to sin... Dotty P's have buy one get one half price on maternity trousers, and VIPDPF gives you 25% off; I have added 2 pairs of leggings and a teal tshirt to my basket which will cost me £18 plus postage...

At 11+2 that's fine, right?

mwahmwah · 13/05/2012 11:54

Just walked out of Morrisons minus the trolley.. I feel officially like shit. Oh dear when does this end?

minipie · 13/05/2012 11:55

prunella can't remember if you wanted the nuchal scan or not, but 10+6 is too early for it I think, they can't do it till 11+3 or thereabouts.

Mind you I expect if it is too early, they'll just tell you to come back for another scan a couple of weeks later (that's what happened to my SIL) so you wouldn't miss out on the test if you do want it.

MyDaydream · 13/05/2012 14:34

Just caught up on nearly a weeks worth of thread, so sad to hear all the bad news.

I'm feeling pretty good at the minute, on holiday so spending lots of time in the sun and eating loads of yummy food. None of it seems to touch the sides though, I'm always ready for more. Feeling a bit sad seeing all the people drinking cocktails and I have a juice!

My tummy seems to have changed shape, it's the same size but when Im laid on my back it's got more of a round look to it. My boobs are killing too, I need some new bras but I was 32ff at the start of this I dread to think what they are now.

Hi all...
Thought id join in as I too am due in december im between 6-8 pg and had my first appt with gyno this week... Saw my little 12mm baby and heard the heartbeat... It was an amazing moment..

Feeling super tired and im working long, busy shifts in a restaurant... The last two weeks were awful, constant dry heaving and could only face eating ham sandwiches!!!

Still a little nauseas but have some pills from gyno which help... Luckily i can eat a little more too - its just the tiredness and the constant lying!!!!!

Hope everyone is well
Looking forward to the journey
X

RooibosWithMilk · 13/05/2012 18:28

Hi everyone! I'm another newbie, 7 weeks pregnant at the moment (first time) and feeling very sick!

Any other teachers on this thread? I keep getting in a worry over maternity leave because I'm a Reception teacher and don't want to leave my new class in November after only three months... but I don't really see what else I can do.

Hope everyone's having a pleasant Sunday :)

blackcurrants · 14/05/2012 02:12

I just had a huuuuge cupcake. It was SO good. And I had a magnnum earlier. Well it's very hot here (Crappy excuses). Erm. Have been eating a lot of steak and salad, when I feel like eating (and can resist salt & vineagar crisps). . . and it's been really helping. I keep telling myself that leafy greens contain lots of folates and steak has all that heme iron and that's why I keep fancying it.

Honest! :) DS appears happy with my food oddity. Last time around he wasn't allowed to cook ANYTHING for about 14 weeks, so I think he's enjoying getting hot food now and then!

I go to my booking-in on Tuesday. Wheee! I do hope I can hear the heartbeat. I'm excited. In between being knackered. I went to put DS down for his nap at lunch time, lay down next to him and basically had a nap myself... it was great!

blackcurrants · 14/05/2012 02:18

ooh, just read the end - welcome! Welcome and congrats, newbies! This thing moves so fast I can't keep up! :)
