Hi I am 7 weeks now and I havent had any symptoms......this is baby number 2, the first was terrible all the way through- im hoping this one will be better.

Heres to my little water dragon!

ivanapoo · 07/05/2012 22:07

Glad you managed to hold it down Chloe!

I've had a bit of a rough day today, just felt so horrible I could barely get out of bed. My husband is being an angel (doing all cooking, cleaning etc) but I feel even worse about that as I'm a total nightmare to be around. A barely-walking, occasionally talking, constantly burping, groaning and moaning nightmare. He seems really unhappy bless him.

How people do this with one or more little kids to look after I don't know! Respect to you!

Really don't know if I can handle work tomorrow, have a big meeting and not sure I can muster the energy required...

Magic69 · 07/05/2012 22:42

First one is usually the hardest....second is easier, touch wood!

SpottyTeacakes · 08/05/2012 06:43

My second one is worse. I really don't think I can cope I feel so ill. I've been awake all night feeling sick and it's a major struggle just to make dd breakfast let alone go out with her!

Sorry for the moan Blush

Saphiesgirl · 08/05/2012 06:55

Morning, I've been up since five with bad cramping. No blood at all so hoping its growing pains? Gave birth to my 8 lb 3.5 boy with nothing more than 2 paracetamol- induction/ back to back baby so I think I have good handle on pain! How early can mw pick up heartbeat? Have 1st mw appt this afternoon and don't want her to laugh if I ask what she can hear.

Trying so hard to relax but have work this morning and just want to curl up,

Sniff...

Putting my moans away, morning everybody at least it's a 4 day week for lots ( sorry to those it's not 4d week!)

SpottyTeacakes · 08/05/2012 07:02

I don't think they try to listen to the heartbeat until the sixteen week appointment?

Hope your cramps settle down soon

Chloe55 · 08/05/2012 07:05

I think they can listen in by about 12 wks but generally they do past 14 wks just to make sure.

NarcolepsyQueen · 08/05/2012 09:28

Morning ladies. I have had some bleeding over the weekend (watery reg - sorry TMI!) Not sure what to do! Had it from Saturday. Ideas?

SpottyTeacakes · 08/05/2012 09:37

Maybe try get an appointment at the EPU Narc? Some of them are walk in. How far along are you? You could phone your midwife for advice

CODwidow · 08/05/2012 10:12

Narc Maybe ring the Gp and insist on an appt today they can then call EPU to get you a scan.

FriendofDorothy · 08/05/2012 10:27

I have had some watery blood this morning. Really worried about it Sad

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 08/05/2012 11:17

Hi all, really hoping all with worries are reassured soon.

I've got an appointment tomorrow afternoon for a scan at our EPU to check tadpole is still clinging on, due to the exposure to slap cheek. I'm dreading it, but really need someone to tell me the baby is all ok! and hopefully i can dispell the myths my friends are cooking up that it's twins (as i have a bump already, my nice flat stomach has disappeared :( )

my morning sickness is awful atm, and sleeping doesnt appear to have got any better! God knows how i'm gunna do the moonwalk on Sat night (26.2 miles overnight in a decorated bra!!!!!!) i'll just hae to soldier through!

FriendofDorothy · 08/05/2012 11:50

I saw my GP and he is going to try and get me a scan appointment today.

blackcurrants · 08/05/2012 12:11

:( I hope it's nothing, Friend Good luck at your appointment today.

I am feeling so sick that I'm keeping ritz crackers by the bed to eat in the middle of the night. Urggh.

SpottyTeacakes · 08/05/2012 12:23

Thinking of you friend it's good they're getting you seen quickly.

I was awake last night feeling sick too but I feel ok at the moment, fingers crossed. Dd and I are just about to have a nap Smile

minipie · 08/05/2012 12:35

Friend good luck at your scan.

To (hopefully) reassure those of you with spotting - I have had red spotting times so far, have had an early scan (after the third time) and all was fine. Sonographer said that a bit of bleeding is v v common and most women who get it are fine.

Of course that hasn't stopped me worrying... especially as I am now having brown spotting, not sure what that is about Confused.

Saphie I'd be interested to hear what your MW says about hearing the heartbeat. I have heard that hospital dopplers can pick it up much earlier than home ones so it's possible she might be able to hear it?

livismum · 08/05/2012 12:38

Hi all, hope those with worry's get appointments and reassurance quickly, got my fingers crossed for u,

I managed to get to the checkout at Tesco's yesterday without my purse Blush found some loose change at bottom of my bag to buy the essentials (milk, bananas, and Pringles!) my DH spent the evening questioning how I was cooking tea and looking over my shoulder (worried what I will do next!)

YikesHereWeGo · 08/05/2012 13:13

Flippin Nora there are loads of us with spotting! Fingers crossed that this is a good sign that it's very normal and nothing to worry about. I can't concentrate at work AT ALL so have wimped out and left a message for my GP to call me when she gets in tomorrow to discuss a possible referral to EPU for a scan. Keep running to the loo to check everything's ok. Not sure how long my nerves can keep this routine up for. Two people who sit near me have recently announced babies on the way (one chap, one girl) and I think it must be such a relief to have it out in the open rather than having to sneak around making phonecalls to hospitals etc.
Good luck to everyone with spotting. It's shit isn't it?! xx

mwahmwah · 08/05/2012 13:16

I think I could sleep for the next 7 months. Gawd i'm sooo exhausted :o(

NarcolepsyQueen · 08/05/2012 13:38

I've just come back from the doctors - they have made me an appointment for a scan on Friday morning at 9am. Fingers crossed for me and everybody else who has bleeding!

CODwidow · 08/05/2012 15:48

Sooo tired and always hungry! But sickness is not bad at all which is a worry as with my 4 ds's I was so sick! Can't help feeling its not right not to feel sick :/
Hoping my scan date comes this week as I'll be 9weeks tomorrow and mw was hoping for an early scan around 10/11 weeks.

Thinking of those with spotting and bleeding, I hope you all get your scans and it's good news all round!

Still eager to find out if there's any of us with twins, odds are there has to be at least one Grin

AngelFairy · 08/05/2012 16:39

Oh ladies.... I have just popped on here (from my January 2013 thread) in hope that all the women and all the books have got the nausea lasting for 12wks wrong... Doh. ((sigh))
Just when I thought I had mastered avoiding it by grazing all day, I am now learning that not everything I graze on satisfies my growing lentil Hmm

Congratulations to you all, and fingers crossed to those having scans today.

I'll snoop back to my thread now... Bye x

KMBatfink · 08/05/2012 16:42

I'm having spotting too. It's only on and off every few days so not sure it's bad enough to warrant epu visit. Have my scan in two weeks anyway so may wait till then.

It's so worrying isn't it? Hope those with spotting going to epu get on ok.

FriendofDorothy · 08/05/2012 17:06

The bleeding got very red and very heavy. Scan showed baby still in place. It was possibly a twin pregnancy and I lost one!

blackcurrants · 08/05/2012 17:15

Oh goodness! How are you feeling Dorothy? I'm glad the baby is still in place.
Take care of yourself!
