PurplePidjin · 06/05/2012 07:40

I had some scary red spotting last night, but only for about a minute so trying not to panic...

SpottyTeacakes · 06/05/2012 07:50

Would your period be due now purple? That could be an explanation?

PurplePidjin · 06/05/2012 07:56

10+2 so possibly, my cycle's irregular between 29 and 36 days... It was only while I was on the loo, and had been trying Blush

CODwidow · 06/05/2012 09:12

Purple are you sure the spotting was from there and not y'know the other end Blush I was really constipated at about 5/6 weeks and I had some spotting but realised that it was where I was needing to try too hard Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 06/05/2012 09:13

I was going to ask the same thing!

PurplePidjin · 06/05/2012 09:17

I'm sure. It wasn't just blood iyswim Blush

You can tell this is my first, I'm not as open about bodily fluids as you experienced folk!

Chloe55 · 06/05/2012 09:30

purple my brown discharge was after a number 2, I think it is the pressure urging everything that might be hanging around up there down! Pregnancy hormones can change the composition of the the cells at the cervix causing some spotting....apparently Smile

Chloe55 · 06/05/2012 09:31

So sick this morning Sad

SpottyTeacakes · 06/05/2012 09:32

I honestly wouldn't worry. If it happens again then you could get an appointment at the epu but I don't think one bit like you say will mean anything Smile

If you're constipated get some lactulose it's vile but keep it in the fridge and it's not as bad

PurplePidjin · 06/05/2012 09:36

Chloe55 Sad

It was briefly, and no cramping, but I don't feel as sick and tired today. But I did get some sleep, so that could be it Confused

TheWildOnes · 06/05/2012 12:05

Hi everyone, I am due in December with DC no 3, I'm between 5 and 8 weeks pregnant. Have had a scare this weekend with a few days of bleeding, saw Doctor who after poking me about a bit seems to think baby is ok but I've had a threatened miscarriage, need to just rest apparently and fingers crossed all will be ok.

CODwidow · 06/05/2012 14:55

Hiya wild hope all goes ok for you.

Well we've managed to get the bloody sickness bug in the house so last night was youngest ds turn and at 5am I woke up with it...great! I already have low blood pressure making me dizzy all the time but now not eating either I can hardly sit let alone stand! Nightmare Sad

chloe hope your feeling a little better now. The sickness is miserable.

backwardpossom · 06/05/2012 16:37

I've had a lot more brown blood over the weekend after it had stopped. Will phone midwife and push for a scan this time. Of course with it being bank holiday weekend, I'll not hear from one until Tuesday right... At least it's still brown and there's no pain. Still I expect bright red to appear any time and am constantly knicker-checking! Roll on the 28th...

Mummycox · 06/05/2012 17:07

Hello all, just found the thread. Congratulations to you all Grin I'm 9+5, due 5th December with %231. It's been a long journey and I'm very proud to be here.

Glad I'm not the only one who has blossomed early on, no work clothes fit anymore and the first time I wore my mat trousers I spent the morning with them on back to front Blush

Keep well and happy dragon mums to be

Chloe55 · 06/05/2012 18:38

Welcome mummy, sorry actually laughed out loud at you wearing your maternity trousers back to front! Grin

backwardpossom I think you do right pushing for a scan, if anything just to put your mind at rest.

Had a nice lynch at mums, actually enjoyed it for the hour it stayed down Hmm stepped on scales this morning, I've lost a stone in just short of 2 weeks Shock

Chloe55 · 06/05/2012 18:38

I didn't lynch my mum, I had lynch Blush

Chloe55 · 06/05/2012 18:39

Arghh god damn phone lunch!!!!

pleasebethismonth · 06/05/2012 18:41

hello everyone!

Backward- big hugs coming your way, hope you hear about a scan soon. Try not to worry it does sound as if lots of others have experienced similar things and all has been well.

Really enjoying the weekend, feel as if i'm starting to feel human again, less sicky feeling and general yuckyness!! I've blitzed the house, just the ironing left which REALLY needed doing so that helps me feel better.

Spent the afternoon with friends which was lovely, one of which is due October. Can't wait to tell them all soon. Scan on the 17th so fingers crossed all is ok then I can blab to all.

Hope everyone else is feeling better, especially those with ms as I KNOW it is HORRIBLE!!

CupOfBrownJoy · 06/05/2012 19:08

Hi everyone

I hope everyone is doing well and the morning sickness/scary spotting/other horrid symptoms are easing off or hopefully stopping!

A quick question about maternity clothes. I'm only 7+2 but I've noticed with the bloating my favourite jeans aren't comfortable anymore! Sad. So, at what stage did everyone give in and buy maternity clothes? I'm thinking of waiting until after my scan tomorrow (don't want to tempt fate!) and then investing in some black work trousers and some jeans from Seraphine.

I'm hoping that by buying early I'll stay comfortable and get more wear out of them. I'm really on a budget so I'm just going for trousers at the moment and I'll be able to manage for tops etc for now...

Thanks all x

Chloe55 · 06/05/2012 19:12

Well i got down all my maternity clothes from the loft and kept my 'fat' clothes out and put all the size 12s up in the loft as I was so bloated a couple of weeks ago and didn't fit anything-bad move as now all those clothes are hanging off me! Whoops

Mabinogi · 06/05/2012 19:18

Hello... I'm new! Especially to this pregnancy thing :) recently found out I'm due on December 28th.

Nobody knows (except husband of course) and I keep wanting to tell people - but don't want it to become common knowledge until after I've had a scan. I'm only at six weeks so that won't be for a while. Did/does anyone else find that? You really want to tell people, but at the same time you don't want people to know until you're a bit more sure that everything's ok?

kiwi5 · 06/05/2012 20:09

Bugger. Bright red blood has started. Got some mild cramping too, hoping that is just cos I am anxious.
AF not due either.
Bugger the bank holiday too.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 06/05/2012 20:28

Thank you for birthday wishes Blush I do indeed have a little bump already and will have too order some new maternity clothes to wear when I get home on Saturday (boo hoo).

kiwi is the epu open near you? I would call them, I'm sure it'll be fine but best to check. Hope you're ok.

SpottyTeacakes · 06/05/2012 20:29

Oh kiwi Sad keeping my fingers crossed for you

StrawberrytallCAKE · 06/05/2012 20:33

I just thought i'd also add I had bright red bleeding in last pg and went to a&e where they really looked after me, everything was fine in the end but I don't regret going. If epu is closed maybe a&e?
