Yay fit your scan date purple!

COD I have been constantly thirsty and I never normally drink much.

Getting my long awaited Chinese tonight Grin

Babyno3tobe · 04/05/2012 17:46

Hi all newbie here- this is our 3rd and after my partner saying "I'll take my chances" here we are with a bun in the oven lol I'm due 13th dec but pushing for a planned section due to a prolapse, placenta to be removed in theatre (happened in all previous) and traumatic previous births so iv told the dr i don't want any added stress when it can all be avoided an he seems happy about my decision but it's convincing the surgeon. Iv suffered horribly this time round been sofa bound for almost 3 wks now from severe dizziness and stomach tenderness then hit with a bug on my early scan date with causes abdominal cramps and sickness a day I never wanna repeat again ever but other than that iv been hunky dory and like my last pregnancies cravings have hit quick so I'm pretty much a couch potato Grin

Babyno3tobe · 04/05/2012 17:50

CODwidow- i drink that much its unreal been guzzling pure orange juice till I had a bug and been in water since even resorted to eating satsumas while drinking orange lol

Chloe55 · 04/05/2012 19:14

Yep excessive thirst here too but pretty concentrated wee-that might be something to do with me puking a fair bit though.

Gosh I have just read your name but forgotten it already-welcome newbie BlushSmile Anybody else have a terrible memory?!

Eaten some strawberries tonight which has been somewhat of an achievement as only seem to be able to stomach absolute crap recently and even that's a chore.

Hope all the thyroid issues get resolved.

mwahmwah · 04/05/2012 19:43

Chloe55 my ds birth was a scary one. As a second birth I was hoping for a straight forward delivery but just couldn't get him out! Ended up with 2 docs, 2 paeds, 8 midwives welcoming him into the world... Not to mention a hefty episiotomy... Cord round his neck, not breathing, utterly horrible. Hoping for an easy one this time, its only fair isn't it?! Xxx

livismum · 04/05/2012 20:12

chloe55 I forgot i was supposed to be feeding my MIL's dog today, saw the strange keys in the hall at 5pm and was like "who's keys.........shittttttttttttttttttt!" Blush

Magic69 · 04/05/2012 20:15

Hi I am due 26th December 2012....lovely meeting you all!!

Magic69 · 04/05/2012 20:16

hey who has a scan date already....my local hosp is so slow, I had PREM last pregnancy- 10 months ago- and I thought they would monitor more but seems to be a looong delay

CODwidow · 04/05/2012 20:22

Ha ha forgetfulness!! I'm surprised I've not left the kids at school! I am useless right now, I managed to lose my keys at the doctors when I went for my booking in that was the 4th time that day Blush

SpottyTeacakes · 04/05/2012 20:26

I had a pretty horrible birth with dd, took me a good year before I could think about it without crying. Definitely the worst day of my life. Considering asking for a CS this time, but not sure I want that either.

SpottyTeacakes · 04/05/2012 20:27

On a lighter note I am so full of Chinese right now Grin

nasara · 04/05/2012 20:29

Not so much a terrible memory, but doing ditzy things like throwing the car keys in the bin...

backwardpossom · 04/05/2012 20:31

Spotty I have been offered a section due to the horrendous time I had with DS. I have also been told I can go natural again. Not sure what to do, but I think I'm veering towards section. It's a hard choice though and I've been agonising over it since DS was 6 months as that's when the consultant told me I could have a section with number two. DS is now 2.9!

SpottyTeacakes · 04/05/2012 20:33

It's hard isn't it backward I'm probably just being a wuss but I know I will have to be induced and consultant let again so it's never going to be a nice natural, non clinical birth whatever happens!

Babyno3tobe · 04/05/2012 20:49

I wanted to be induced early due to a traumatic first labour I'll not go into detail or I'd be here all night lol. But surgeon refused to induce me dying it would cause more complications all I wanted was to be induced on my due date cause my last was to large for me! Lets just say he was surprised to see me the next day being induced at the hospital due to labour slowing down a day early I felt like sticking my fingers up and saying HA lol even that was a traumatic experience, although I pushed lo out laughing had complications afterwards and ended up past out in theatre horrible but so worth the pain I'd do it all again in a heart beat, hang on I am lol

StrawberrytallCAKE · 04/05/2012 21:15

I really hope my birth this time is similar to last time, aside from being induced it only took 4 1/2 hours with no tears. I found giving birth a whole lot easier than pregnancy which seems quite consistent so far as I can't wait for the next two weeks to be over and to start enjoying life again rather than feeling like I'm going to puke every second.

On the plus side it is my 30th birthday today which has been lovely so far, lots of nice pressies and vouchers for spas, John Lewis (woo hoo, posh changing bag here I come) and Isabella Oliver (obv my family know I'm pg). Going out for a meal tonight which I really hope I can enjoy as it's been booked for at least 6 months but tbh I would rather spend the night in bed right now.

Clarella · 04/05/2012 21:26

Happy birthday strawb!

Ooo actual birth - I need to do some catch up on obem. Lil sis's advice today was shut your eyes and go into a zone - she said it helped not to see anyone else!

Beyond that pretty stumped!

Yeay, scan date 24th May!

PurplePidjin · 04/05/2012 21:41

Happy birthday, Strawberry Thanks

StrawberrytallCAKE · 04/05/2012 22:18

Thank you both :)

I totally agree, I just went into my own little world, had a playlist sorted on my iPod to concentrate on if needed and kept pretty calm. I think it helped having a nice darkened room and the midwife was there the entire time as there was no one else in labour, her and dh were talking the entire time which was nice to listen to. I'm sure in labour some sort of hormones are released to help you keep extra calm. I was petrified through my whole pg so none of it may help you but thought I'd share as sometimes births are a really positive experience.

backwardpossom · 04/05/2012 22:28

I should say, my pregnancy was a breeze and labour was absolutely fine - it was just the end of it that was hideous for me. I didn't mind labour itself too much - I got to the hospital and was 8cm dilated without any pain relief! :) I was completely in the zone and just let my body do it's thing. It's really not that bad, honest!

backwardpossom · 04/05/2012 22:29

And happy 30th, Strawberry! It's a good friend of mine's 30th today, too... I don't think she's pregnant... Wink

livismum · 04/05/2012 23:19

Happy birthday strawberry!

I'm another weird one who really enjoyed pregnancy and labour, straightforward both times, may even consider a home birth this time, also then I don't have to attempt to keep DH sober all over Xmas! Smile

Chloe55 · 05/05/2012 06:41

I unfortunately detest pregnancy and labour, I do however love the end result [stares divinely at my gorgeous boy who snuck into my bed last night] Smile

Cookiesandcream06 · 05/05/2012 08:02

Happy 30th strawberry ??

??????

Ps I also think pregnancy is ten times worse than the actual labour itself, people I say this to think I am mad!!
