Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

'scuse the gremlin in my computer that posted my message twice.
Hurrah for kiwi's bean!
Am very pleased to have made it to the weekend. :o Have a good one all!

MostlyHarmless84 · 20/04/2012 18:54

Hi all, can I join in too please? I've been lurking on these threads for a while, and have decided to take the plunge and start getting involved! I'm in my first pregnancy and think I'm due on the 19th December!

I'm a complete hypochondriac and worrier, and have been getting all sorts of scary aches and pains since I found out! I'm also paranoid about cheese, fish, meat, eggs, my cat, and am now anxious that I'm too stressed for the baby! Oh dear, it's going to be a long 9 months!

All the best to everyone, congratulations and good luck!

PurplePidjin · 20/04/2012 18:55

8weeks today and the sickness has stepped up a gear. 50 hours in a nursery next week

DP has several very strong job prospects so has cheered up immensely. He's currently cooking me dinner and I'm looking forward to a weekend on the sofa. He's been well taught by mil about domestic equality, and has far more experience of pg women than me so is assuming I'll be spending 9 months resting Grin

Hello newbies, welcome to the club :)

CODwidow · 20/04/2012 19:08

Well emotional day today just can't stop blubbing about everything and anything really! Whether I'm a good mum, can I look after 5 and still divide my time to who's going to empty the dishwasher when Im too busy feeding lol totally irrational and mental but lucky my dh has seen this 4 times before and acts as if I'm totally sane and he'll be doing everything!

I have a new symptom in that my wrists are really stiff and painful (strange but true) so with that nausea, banging head and feeling like I've crowd a river I feel quite confident things are ok (just for today though)

Clarella · 20/04/2012 19:15

Yeay that's great news pidg!

Welcome newbies, join the general panic, twinge analysing and boob prodding!

After a week of headaches feel surprisingly well today (cue worry!)
Even after swimming with my class ( pretty much half hour treading water!) And woodwork club (all real tools - bangbangbang) with a bunch of live wires who created an intersting dynamic and demanded to make a darlek, c3po and a fart raygun :/ . We did health n safety today (!)

Speaking of, my bunch are the same as the bunch on Louis theroux last night - still no sniff of a risk assessment! (luckily not the ones in woodwork club!)

Clarella · 20/04/2012 19:20

Oh cod I have been very like that all week, and I don't even have any kids, massively admire you and you definately can do it (train no 1 to empty dish washer?) I can't imagine how tired you are with your bunch. Big hugs Xox

My first main symptom next to boobs was aching wrists (tops of hands too) always seem worst when I'm a bit swollen with water retention. Hope you feel better soon xxxx

Barbeasty · 20/04/2012 21:25

COD- my SIL has 6, and the oldest was 9 when the youngest was born. She was making (bad) cups of tea for the midwife at the birth, and is amazing with the little ones.

I was chatting with MIL when I collected DD this afternoon and she started asking DD if she wanted a little brother or sister. And DD said... "Cat". So the name has stuck and we are now talking about when the cat is born.

Purple- excellent news about your DH; both the job hopes and that he's well trained.

mwahmwah · 20/04/2012 21:47

heeellllooooooo! Did (ahem) three tests yesterday and got two very faint lines and a pretty strong pink one (surprisingly on the most expensive test!)

So looks like I'll have a wee Xmas baby too, ladies. Can't remember dates of last period - it was a Sunday but can't remember which Blush so date is either the 23rd Dec or the 30th, couldn't have planned it much worse for Chrimbo wine and merriment!

This'll be DC no.3 which is scarey but super-exciting. DEFO DEFO the last child, might send hubby for the snip tomo now I think about it... xx

Cookiesandcream06 · 20/04/2012 22:28

Wowzers we are nearing the 1000th message already! And still lots of new faces joining us Smile bigcongratulations and hello to everyone!! Does anyone else feel like they've been pg a lot longer than they actually have?!
Don't know how i'm still awake right now... Zzzzzzzz night ladies ...

CODwidow · 20/04/2012 23:45

Thank you so much clarella that is really lovely!
barbeasty my eldest will be 10 and I was quite surprised how much attention he paid to my friends new baby recently. I know my 8ye old wil be brill as he loves babies.

Anyway very late for me as had friends round and had to pretend to be very awake, then they produced a bottle of wine they had bought for me. I had to make up a huge excuse that I've drank so much this week I couldn't possibly. I think I pulled it off.

So goodnight and hope everyone has a brill weekend with not too much sickness :) xx

M0naLisa · 21/04/2012 00:10

Thanks - thank you and I love your name - Professor Elemental is v. amusing.

Bellaboo123 · 21/04/2012 03:53

Hi all
Welcome and congrats newbies and hi to everyone else!
Well as you can guess by the time the insomnia has hit, I'm 6+3 and yesterday the symptoms seemed to increase - now I've got sore boobs, felt sick all day, tiredness, lack of appetite and of course insomnia! Oh the joys...but strangely reassuring!
Had to pretend at work that I've picked up a sickness bug...all of a sudden the lady I work with had decided she's got it and is running to the loo...I did have a little chuckle to myself!
So glad it's the weekend...looking forward to doing nothing! Grin

rosa7 · 21/04/2012 06:07

hello to everyone joining the thread!

Clarella - i had two days off the nausea this week and it was worry inducing for me too - i had headaches instead though so was thinking maybe mother nature was giving me a wee break guess i'm 7 weeks today. just BRING ON JUNE so we can get this 1st trimester business out of the way eh!!

purple - your weekend sounds lovely!! i am going to a baby shower tomorrow! will be a surreal experience for moi. dd is 3 now and the whole baby thing seems really long ago - all forgotten and behind me, but now suddenly it all lies in front of me again. i think it will take me at least 5 more months to get my head around that one. that said, i think we have our names chosen already! Smile

happy weekend! rosa xx

pleasebethismonth · 21/04/2012 07:31

Rosa- will you be sharing your names or keeping them as a surprise?

8+1 today and pretty fed up of the sickness now. I second the 'BRING ON JUNE!'

Got a Christening next week which i'm dreading in itself. Got to go shopping for something to wear today and I REALLY can't be bothered. Normally I love shopping, especially when dh has offered to pay!! I know I must be poorly!

Is it just me or does anyone alse feel like they have no enthusiasm for anything and that everything little thing is a chore?

Welcome to all the newbies and congratulations!

PurplePidjin · 21/04/2012 07:44

Please, at the moment no. But a couple of years ago yes - ptsd, anxiety and depression. Please take care of yourself!

acjfluff · 21/04/2012 07:53

Hello ladies!

7 weeks today and still no morning sickness. Boobs killing me so glad of that as my only symptom!

I hope everyone else is going well with the keeping it a secret thing. I caved and told a friend at work (who cried and set me off as it takes very little to get me going) but I'm determined not to tell anyone else til 12 weeks. Seems like ages away!!

Enjoy your weekends! :)

smellsofsick · 21/04/2012 08:12

And me! Can't work our dates as too much wine involved but likely to be on or very near DD's birthday on Dec 18. Two Christmas babies. Not the best timing but really pleased anyway.

CupOfBrownJoy · 21/04/2012 09:29

blackcurrants you're the first person who has ever "got" my name! Everyone else thinks its something rude.... Smile

CupOfBrownJoy · 21/04/2012 09:36

I'm still feeling very positive and full of energy - off for a run in a minute!!

But I'm only 5+3 and I'm reading about the sickness all you 6 and 7 weekers are feeling with trepidation Smile

livismum · 21/04/2012 09:56

Hi ladies can I step aboard and rather tentatively mark my place please, got my BFP this morning (faint one yesterday) this will hopefully be number 3 for us, 2 DD's 7 and 3, I felt like this was a good month had strong OV signals and managed to DTD more than usual! Hurrah for easter bank holidays!

If I go by LMP due 29th Dec (cousins wedding!)
Or if I go by OV due 31st! (DH already joking he's still going out!)

Been feeling "funny" all week, bit nauseous, weird different cramping feelings, and I'm bloated! No idea how I'll keep it quiet for a week let alone 8!

YikesHereWeGo · 21/04/2012 10:00

Yay, a heartbeat. :o AND the sonographer confirmed my fancy way of calculating EDD when she measured the ickle one - I was just one day out (7w+3d) - so my EDD is 5 December! Double yay - a December baby. :o
