Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

StrawberrytallCAKE · 24/03/2012 16:03

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

3rd time in 5months here Sad

Clarella · 18/04/2012 20:24

Friendof, I've had that and I don't even get period pain so reckon its ok - your uterus doubles in size? Or something?

Issimma - not got kids but do teach the equivalent of giant toddlers.... tried gloop? (corn flower and equalish parts water) can keep some mesmerised for ages, Hoovers up nicely when dry too, put in big tray on floor? Drive trucks through it, weird consistency.

Lauraloo - that is mega pants - can you insist?

Sorry to hear that pidgin, I think phone, letter might be due to go out if not they need a nudge.

Stuff pc protocol mwah xx

Clarella · 18/04/2012 20:26

Oh no purple :(. Hope things turn up better for you soon (hugs)

CODwidow · 18/04/2012 20:53

Mwah to you too xx

lauraloo09 · 18/04/2012 21:07

purple very sorry to hear about the situation you're in i really hope something comes along perm for yourself and your dh thinking of you

And for the pc brigade get it up ya lol xxxxxxxxx

kateand2boys · 18/04/2012 21:16

purple, that's terrible. Hope your dp finds something soon. My dad was made redundant when my mom was pregnant with me, he did find a new job and all was ok. Hoping for the same for you and your family.

Kisses to all xxxxx Wink

PurplePidjin · 18/04/2012 21:26

Thanks the plan has always been for me (less earning potential) to be a sahp, just need to get him sorted! Hopefully we can buy/borrow SIL's p+t sport, lots of sewing use up the massive stash and hope people buy useful things as presses Grin would it be rude to ask Mad Uncle Harry to buy us a couple of totsbots? Wink

ItWasThePenguins · 18/04/2012 21:35

Sorry Im late, can i join?
We've just got back from honeymoon to confirm the faint line on the first day (took test with us) is real.

Have ds 21mo.
Due 5th Dec i think, but not positive yet.

Hi!

MyDaydream · 18/04/2012 22:12

Purple hope your DP finds new work soon, must be really difficult at the moment, hope he finds something soon.

My sense of smell has been driving me mad over the past couple of days. DP must be getting sick of "what's that smell?" when he can't actually smell anything. It's just a running commentary as I go round the house telling him what smells weird, not even bad, just different to usual.

I'm with everyone on the nausea too, although it's fine all day and kicks in at bedtime, so just as I'm getting to sleep I'm wide awake wanting to puke. This happened last time, and kicks in whether I eat before bed or not.

Does anyone have any hot drink ideas? I've totally gone off tea, it seems to have lost it's flavour, but I'm really missing a hot drink in the evening. Hot chocolate doesn't cut it.

cherrypiew3 · 18/04/2012 22:20

Hi Penguins congratulations how lovely to come back from honeymoon to a BFP.

Purple sorry to hear about your dh, my dh was made redundant last August so I know how you must be feeling. I would also chase up your Dr's I know they all work differently but it won't hurt to check.

Like most of you I have had a rubbish day I have had a really bad head since lunch time which is only just starting to go. Have my GP appointment in the morning and also have to ask him if we can stay at his practise I really don't want to move.

cherrypiew3 · 18/04/2012 22:23

Stacks apart from my bad head I am still symptom free 6 weeks yesterday.

Chloe55 · 19/04/2012 01:20

Ok, apologies before hand if I forget names but on phone and very late ( or probably early in my case at the mo!!) so....

purple really sorry to hear about your dhs job-what crap timing Sad I would have also suggested the mortgage freeze if necessary and don't be proud-if you have a rich mad uncle I'm sure he would want to help you out Smile

Laura well I would be telling them to stuff it if they are being that way out-depends how much you need the money but generally the job sounds a doddle but not sure it would be so with raging morning sickness!

itwasthepenguins love the name! Congratulations, what a lovely honeymoon gift Smile

Ok, this is where I've forgotten names Blush but cramping in early pregnancy is normal, think most of us have experienced it but if it's accompanied by bleeding then see the gp.

Things to do with toddlers-the corn flour suggestion is great, loved that game when I used to childmind. Painting pasta shells, then gluing them onto paper, build a den (then you sleep unit whilst they show their teddies a new home, not that I did this childminding I might add-but did with ds Grin) or if all else fails DVD Smile

Waves to everyone else!

Am awake at stupid o clock again, despite feeling sick and boobs hurting I poas this morning as symptoms come and go throughout the day. It was actually an opk but I read it still shows up like a hpt and yes, immediate very dark line - never even got that with ovulation so they clearly do work-I have about 5 left and so feel safe in the knowledge I don't have to give up my poas habit just yet!! Had a shitty day at work, a colleagues cat is in a pretty bad way, an emergency dog attack came in last minute and to top it off I have woken with a start as I forgot to send the daily order of drugs so my name will be mud tomorrow at work Sad thank god it's my day off Grin

Chloe55 · 19/04/2012 01:24

Oh and daydream hot drinks-horlicks, hot water and lemon, fruit teas, redbush tea (I had this with or without milk), hot milk and honey or squash made with hot water.

Chloe55 · 19/04/2012 01:26

Forgot to add barbeasty I am sure it was very Blush for you but it was very Grin for me!!

CODwidow · 19/04/2012 07:31

barbeasty made me laugh!!

mydaydream I'm drinking hot blackcurrant instead as my tea also tastes different.

Well morning everyone hoping I feel a little better than yesterday as that was a struggle, my head was banging! Tummys like a washing machine today but actually feeling relieved to feel sick.
I've had some mild cramping and I remember that from my last (healthy) pregnancies so nothing to worry about.

My friends just had her 12 week scan and she's actually 14 wks with twins!!! She was feeling really ill and had a little bump already but no twins in either family and totally unexpected.

Hope everyone has a lovely morning and im off to do the school run in the rain!

YikesHereWeGo · 19/04/2012 07:37

daydream - agree, tea has gone all weird-tasting. Never thought I'd hear myself say that, I'm usually a tea fiend! Hot squash (especially blackcurrant) is dead good though. :)
Anyone else been spending their evenings watching more rubbish telly than usual to make time pass more quickly? I've been glued to Made in Chelsea, This Model Life and anything else that doesn't require brain cells.

chipsandmushypeas · 19/04/2012 08:02

Since last night I've had the most disgusting taste in my mouth, Tongue feels furry too however much I brush and use mouthwash [bleh]

Cookiesandcream06 · 19/04/2012 08:48

Welcome penguins that's fantastic news! Although I hope you didn't feel queezy for your honeymoon?!
Congratulations Grin

PrunellaDeVille · 19/04/2012 08:59

6+6 and really feeling the lack of symptoms today - no nausea yet and suddenly all quiet (apart from the wind), even the cm was dry as a bone yesterday where i'd been deluged the day before. utterly paranoid, wishing i was sick.

CODwidow · 19/04/2012 09:05

Right I need opinions I'm not sure I can cope with this headache again today it is really banging, is it ok to take paracetomal??? Id rather avoid but really don't think I can anymore.

Chloe55 · 19/04/2012 09:08

Yes fine to take paracetamol cod or try that 4head stick-takes the edge off a bit. prunella maybe you are one of the lucky ones who will sail through with few symptoms Smile

chipsandmushypeas · 19/04/2012 09:17

Paracetamol is fine

StaceymReadyForNumber3 · 19/04/2012 09:21

mornign ladies, nausea is back to what it was, think i just had a day reprieve (well until 3pm anyway) drinking my lime and soda again.

Almost had a full nights sleep last night but still yawning my heqad off this morning. Starting to worry about saturday got an 18 mile training walk for the moonwalk in 3 weeks time, my last one was 14miles and knackered me!

Thanks for the advice re. flying. We're going to Arabian Ranches to stay with DH's dad (an expat community) kids can't wait to go to the desert, hope this pregnancy progress' well so i can join them!

minipie · 19/04/2012 10:54

morning all

prunella I'm with you on the lack-of-symptoms paranoia. My only real symptom is feeling knackered.

Got 12 people coming for dinner on Saturday, I am going to have to try to stay awake and disguise my lack of drinking!

Yikes yes I've been watching some really crap undemanding stuff! children's movies in particular Blush

Chloe I didn't know that about OPKs, have a few left over, might give that a go!

gilsbubbles · 19/04/2012 11:07

Morning all, bit of a panic yesterday cause i had some bleeding. doctor was great, fitting me ibm to see her within the hour. referred me to the early pregnancy clinic where i had a scan this morning. All is well, nice clear image and just the size that would be expected at 6 weeks. we even saw a nice strong heartbeat.
Wanted to share cause i completely freaked out at a wee bit of blood but it turned out ok fhe midwife was brilliant and really understanding
