Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

I would love to have twins!

nasara · 12/04/2012 22:08

Anyone suffering with a sore throat? I nearly lost my voice today...

CODwidow · 12/04/2012 22:09

Chances are at least one of us will be expecting twins there's so many of us on the thread!! With 4 ds's I'd rather it was someone else lol :)

ItsMyLastOne · 12/04/2012 22:16

This is your first is it FoD?! Wink

My mum went back to work full time when my sister and I were 6 weeks iirc, maybe 10 weeks. She said she needed the rest! Grin

FriendofDorothy · 12/04/2012 22:20

Yeah it is my first one... I am hoping the Clomid increased my chances and we do have twins in the family. I have waited so long to get pregnant that it would be amazing to get 2 for the price of 1!

cherrypiew3 · 12/04/2012 22:23

COD I am having trouble keeping my mouth shut and told my friend today straight away she said can you imagine if you have twins. Having already got 3 I would also rather it was someone else.Smile

Is anyone else having pain when lifting I picked up ds tonight and my tummy hurt that much that I had to put him down he did not seem to mind but I always carry him up to bed.Sad

After my little tantrum in the bathroom last night I still did another test today I really am going to stop now.

FriendofDorothy · 12/04/2012 22:25

I still have about 6 tests - will continue testing until I see the GP next Tuesday!

TeaJunky · 13/04/2012 01:35

Hi girls seems like loads of us are starting to feel sick now- exactly the same here with need to eat to keep the sickness away, I mean what the hell IS that anyway?! I've been munching on mini jam doughnuts and yum yums all day BlushBiscuit I can reccomend crackers as low fat alternative but they obviously won't taste as good Grin

And we moved house today! Jesus, it's a nightmare. also took DD to watch The tiger who came to tea at the theatre, much to DH's irritation Grin well! The tickets were pre-booked and the girl had been promised! S'not my fault moving day fell on theatre day Hmm....Grin

Barbeasty · 13/04/2012 05:42

TeaJunky- sounds like excellent planning! I once left for a week long training course in France and came back to a new house, definitely the most relaxing way.

Not feeling sick yet, but last time I got to about 9 weeks and then it hit with a vengeance. I had to take a day off work because I couldn't keep anything down until I managed a banana at 3pm, and then I was sick most mornings and constantly feeling sick until about 17 weeks.

I don't want to tell anyone until 12 weeks, but I think people will guess long before. At the pub last night I was asked if I was ill for having a tonic water. Family will notice even quicker (and know we were ttc!)

Gilsbubbles- it's so difficult not to worry, but if you call the midwives etc to say you're bleeding, the first question they ask is whether you've had sex. But nobody will mind you calling to check. People would always rather have a false alarm than miss something going wrong.

Clarella · 13/04/2012 07:33

Hi birdofthenorth congratulations and hope you are well.

Hope you're ok gilsbubbles.

I have a very weird one - I seem to be craving birdsong?! Happened last night after yoga, also last week but it was classical music then. I heard tweeting echoing in a wood on the radio and it felt as if I had eaten something that I really like, it seemed to fire something in my mind?! Then, lying here this morn feeling a bit queasy really struggling to work out what to eat (not like me in the morn!) and when I thought about it I definately felt better.

Probably all in the mind but I've never experienced anything like that before! I think there's a radio birdsong channel....?

Clarella · 13/04/2012 07:36

That looks ridiculous written down (blush)

roseandroli · 13/04/2012 07:48

Good morning all!
TeaJunky I think your planning is spot on. DH and I are moving house in about three weeks, and doing something fun on moving day sounds like just the right way to offset the chaos.
gilsbubble I hope all is well. I had light pink spotting last night, which sent me into a frenzy of google-searching. Anyone else have something similar? It's gone now, so unless I see more today I don't think I'll ring the surgery.
Still not feeling sick, though my stomach muscles do seem a bit sore.

cashmere · 13/04/2012 08:55

This thread moves quickly!

(4 pages back)
Prunella- I'm sure you could turn up to a lot of sites- a lot of people must do it surely. I'm going to book though being a wimp!

I've stayed in a house in Perpignan area SE several times and that area is gorgeous but prob too much of a mission with a little one.

We can't decide whether to have a week in vendee followed by a week in Gascony, or stay somewhere in the middle and head to thd Jura region.
I think beaches will swing it.

Does anyone know what lakeside beaches are like?

cashmere · 13/04/2012 09:01

Clarella have you done yoga long. I've never done it but am signed up for pregnancy yoga once I'm 14 weeks.

Also starting prenatal pilates next week- did that last time but was too tired to go to half of them!

Cherry- im also struggling to keep quiet- so told a random man who came to fix the radiator in my office (he walked in while I was trying to decide if I had a bump in the mirror!!)
Think will keep quiet at work as there are redundancies at the end if May.

StaceymAloneForver · 13/04/2012 09:23

can i join? got a bfp (although was only very faint) tues and weds LMP was 14/03 so was due 11/04, have had 2 early mc in the last few years so just hoping this little tadpole stays put (this is the furthest i've got in a pg since ds (5yo) ) ialso have dd 7yo

so excited as this will be my husbands first dc :)

am slightly queezy, knackered and have sensitive boobs and hoping morning sickness stays at bay (had it constantly with dd for 8 1/2 months and couldnt eat)

nasara · 13/04/2012 10:21

staceym, welcome and congrats!

Clarella, that is very bizarre! But I can see how that might work - hormones are crazy things and I wouldn't put anything past them!

I'm going out with my NCT pals tonight and have offered to drive... I hope I manage to keep it to myself!

nasara · 13/04/2012 10:25

Oh, and who has twins in the family?? My maternal grandmother was a twin... I think I would actually love to have twins, although we aren't really geared up for it at all!

FriendofDorothy · 13/04/2012 10:39

We have twins in the family - my aunts and twins. I still think it would be amazing!

gilsbubbles · 13/04/2012 11:16

Thanks for all the support, nothing overnight or today so I much happier and a bit more chilled out today. Due to my reaction DH has declare no more sex till we're past the 12 week mark

minipie · 13/04/2012 11:21

Gils I have read that the cervix can be more sensitive in pg and so more prone to bleeding after sex. Doesn't mean there is anything wrong with the pregnancy. Glad you are more chilled out.

Do get it checked out if you get any more though, just in case of the (tiny tiny) risk of ectopic. I had some (non sex related) bleeding earlier this week and went and got an early scan cos of this. All gone now

kateand2boys · 13/04/2012 11:27

Gilsbubble hope you are ok.

staceym and bird welcome and congrats.

I'll pass on the twins thanks, would defo have to move then.

My sense of smell has totally changed, nothing smells right and I can smell things at a distance. Had to take the dog to the vets this morning and the smell, which I don't usually notice, was awful.

StaceymAloneForver · 13/04/2012 11:30

yh i'll pass on the twins too, already will have to move my office to the living room and ds downstairs to my office to have a nursery ( although not for another 18months at least but still twins would mean mvoing and i love this house)

Olivetti · 13/04/2012 12:16

Hi, please can I join? Last period was 13 March, EDD according to dates is 20th December, so still very early days. Congratulations, everyone!
It will be DC 2 for me.

backwardpossom · 13/04/2012 12:30

I phoned the midwife today and have a booking in appointment on wednesday! Efficient or what? Grin I'll be 5+6 then by my dates...

Dillydollydaydream · 13/04/2012 13:22
