Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

Afternoon all. This thread moves too fast for me to keep up! Just a quick update from me now though. I had my blood test and the nurse insisted I come in for a scan asap to rule out eptopic. Had the scan yesterday and saw one little egg sac sitting in the right place. No heartbeat, but that was as expected as I was only 5w+1. Nurse did say my HCG was 6000 though, which was maybe her reading 600 wrong. If it is right though, then I'm wondering about id twins...

Chloe55 · 13/04/2012 13:58

Aww great news on your scan stacks.

Well I went to gp today as having lots of dizzy spells, apparently I have high blood pressure which then drops low when I stand/sit up etc hence my near passing out episode in asda on wed after bending to lift something from a shelf! Just need to take it easy apparently. Booking in appt made for thurs with midwife too Smile Full of cold and feeling sorry for myself, back to work tomorrow after a week off too Sad

FriendofDorothy · 13/04/2012 14:03

I am feeling mental today. Have convinced myself that there is something properly wrong as I have a slighly tight chest and a cough. I suspect I am coming down with a cold but feel perfectly fine in every other way.

lauraloo09 · 13/04/2012 14:28

Been a bad day here :( DD is really pushing me today done nothing she has been told and screaming constantly since 10 this morning could do with a beer lol not that I will. I have punished her by not taking her to dancing class and not going to her cousins for tea I feel dreadful but I feel this is the only way she will learn that this behaviour is not acceptable...please tell me I'm right in doing this xx

CODwidow · 13/04/2012 14:36

My youngest is also being the devil child today and I am a total emotional wreck! Anyone else crying at the slightest thing!! I just feel so tired! Oh well all good signs I guess! :)

yay stacks glad to hear about your scan. from the (very little) I've read, that hcg level is within the normal range albeit at the high end. could you be a couple of days more than 5+1 perhaps?

KMBatfink · 13/04/2012 16:58

Just an update from me really, had my scan appointment through from Stoke Mandeville! No sign of a booking appt for the mw at the doctors though.

Has anyone else been having really vivid dreams? I dreamt last night I had a little girl and we called her Rebecca.

StrawberrytallCAKE · 13/04/2012 19:06

I had a recurring dream in last pg that I gave birth to an insect.

I am feeling horrific today, sick, tired, hormonal and emotional. Dh tried to cook some oven chips for dd in a shallow pan using cold oil, I swore at him and went upstairs and cried. I have been looking after dd on my own with no break at all this week as he's been coming in after her bedtime and it has sent me a bit nuts. I am more than likely being ridiculous but in my head no one is helping me and I feel daunted that if he can't even cook dd dinner for one night how the he'll am I going to cope with 2 dcs and no help.

Vivid dreams was my first symptom! I dreamt I had a baby boy :) I have been having vivid dreams ever since, but no more baby ones. With my dd, I dreamt twice about having a girl, and had no dreams about having a boy...

Verrrry tired and about to go out for dinner - hope I manage to fake being awake and non-preg!

nasara · 13/04/2012 19:20

I had a dream last night that my dd was drowning in my mum's dog's water bowl Confused

PurplePidjin · 13/04/2012 20:15

I had one where my mum was also pg and I had to pretend everything was totally normal while we went pram shopping Hmm

Have had others but can't remember the content!

CODwidow · 13/04/2012 20:36

Strawberry- I am totally with you today, my dh has been working a lot this week and I had a meltdown today wondering how I'm going to juggle 5 children and the housework which is literally because it's holidays so housework tends to not last long! I'll be fine when boys are back to school and my routine is back! I'm being totally irrational I'm sure but why can men never just see something that's needs doing and do it! Blush

I am a total emotional wreck so I think dh will probably work all overtime possible!

VegemiteSandwich · 13/04/2012 20:55

I've had a couple of vivid dreams lately, too! But other than that, and going to bed earlier, I really feel fine. Went to the gym today and took that rather easy so feel quite chirpy this evening!

In fact - do you think it is possible that (despite x2 BFP with the POAS thingy and a complete lack of period) that this could all be a mistake?

My only change in appetite is cravings for lemon and ginger tea, otherwise all pretty normal.

KMBatfink · 13/04/2012 21:13

Vegemite, I feel exactly the same. I keep feeling that I've made it all up because I feel pretty normal.

VegemiteSandwich · 13/04/2012 22:53

KMBatfink I'm glad I'm not the only one. I fear that I'll see the doc/midwife only to have them tell me that I'm faking it!

Chloe55 · 14/04/2012 05:21

Angryinsomnia strikes again, the day I'm back at work, how the hell I will get through is anyone's guess!

I have been pretty upbeat and positive so far about this pg but, probably due to my history, doubts and fears are rearing their ugly heads-have a scan a week on Monday and I'm terrified they will tell me there's nothing thereSad Think this is why having problems sleeping? Someone please send me some positive vibes, give me a slap and tell me to snap out of it!

PurplePidjin · 14/04/2012 08:15

I'll send them, Chloe, but I'm having exactly the same worries!

rosa7 · 14/04/2012 08:22

hi all, just checking in. i'm feeling sick 24/7 now. am doing a masters with 2 assignments due before 1st trimester is through and not so sure how am going to get through but i will. erggghhhhhhhhhhhh. told mum today (6 weeks on the dot) so i can have sympathy and help!

any good nausea cures apart from ginger? wrist bands worth a go???

rosa xx

Dillydollydaydream · 14/04/2012 08:46

I keep thinking this isn't real either!
I don't feel sick yet (with my others I was sick 24/7 until about 26 weeks!)
Not that I'm complaining about that!
However, I cannot do up any of my jeans Blush
Im usually a size 10 and I cant get the button anywhere near done up!
I've dug out a pair of old size 12s and they do up but dig in!
Obviously it's just bloating but fgs, I'll be huge if this keeps up. I'm either going to have to live in leggings or buy maternity jeans already!? Craziness! Anybody else massively bloated? Maybe I just new a big poo?! Grin

whatmess · 14/04/2012 08:50

Morning everyone, went to the drs yesterday. She had a good feel and listen to my tummy and confirmed the shoulder pain is most likely wind related. Apparently, there is an "awful lot of action going on in there" Blush. Resorted to some gaviscon last night as I just couldn't get comfortable in bed.

Met up with a friend yesterday who knows I was trying and asked how things were going. It was so hard not to blurt out, I'm pregnant.

Nausea seems to be fairly mild at the moment and only really hits when I'm hungry. I'm also trying to cut down on the carb loading I've been doing. Going to peel a few carrots today and see if that works instead.

Clarella · 14/04/2012 08:53

Strawberry and COD, this being #1 I can only imagine how hard it must be :( sending very big hugs.

Seems I'm not alone in being utterly convinced there's nothing in there, DH suggested an early scan but at the mo I cant cope with the thought of that and adjusting to school again next week. Bit worried about that too - the behaviour can get pretty wild and unpredictable!

Rosa if you can stand marmite what about a tad spread on a dry cracker? I've heard wrist bands do work as well as gentle exercise. Make sure you drink lots too xx

FriendofDorothy · 14/04/2012 10:04

I almost wish I did feel sick then I might actually feel pregnant. I think someone is going to tell me it is a mistake!

Stacks · 14/04/2012 10:24

I still have no symptoms, and could believe there was nothing in there if I hadn't already seen it on the scan. I'm sure we'll all have plenty symptoms soon, I'm trying my hardest not to be impatient for them, because it'll be no fun when they do arrive!

Clarella · 14/04/2012 10:27

I just met one of my midwives (in a car park as someone hadn't turned up to let them in!) They do a sort of early drop in / touch base thing giving out all the forms so the booking appt isn't so long and there's more time to chat.

She was really helpful and said everything ( lack of proper sickness, aches and pains, headaches) was very normal and not to worry about not really feeling pregnant - and to expect to feel sick next week ! She also said the doc had been in touch with her about doing thyroid bloods at the booking which I'd been worried about and queried with her - seems like someone at the docs has actually started to read the guidelines!
