Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

StrawberrytallCAKE · 24/03/2012 16:03

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

Yes, I've been a bit of a farty-pants lately too. I've put it down to eating too many easter eggs (eating for two already emoticon).

Chloe55 · 10/04/2012 21:45

Another trumpbum here GrinBlush I like getting my own back on dh though Wink

I fell asleep reading DS his bedtime story this evening... zzz

Clarella · 10/04/2012 22:24

I'm a windy pops too. Decided I need a bra with extension cups for my nipples, in soooo much pain today!

Managed 40 lengths in the pool then worried about being capable - I tired very quickly last week - my god the worrying!

I had this cough thing the week before and after my bfp - I had to resort to paracetamol (being a teacher it really hurt at school) I found that ginger cordial, lemon, honey and extra ginger powder helped. Proper cocoa supposed to be good for coughs too (though prob need a lot!) Before my bpf I did have some ginger wine blasted in the microwave - the doc reassured me on that one!

Dillydollydaydream · 10/04/2012 23:05

Oh god. Glad it's not just me with the wind issues! Feel constantly bloated and gassy! Boobs very sore and I'm tired but not sure if tiredness is due to feeling unwell- full of cold :(

cherrypiew3 · 10/04/2012 23:09

No wind from me which is a shame would like to get my own back on DH and I seem to never want to sleep.

I am finding it very hard not to open my mouth and blab to dd at the moment I know she is going to be very excited and I don't think I can last it out until 12 weeks, not so keen on telling the boys though.

COD I have also been baby shopping so far I have goggled prams, changing mats and baby baths.

Chloe55 · 11/04/2012 07:19

Another secret shopper (albeit window) here too-but everytime I look I feel like I am jinxing things.

Poas this morning, clearblue, just to make sure I see that 3+ sign and I did, almost straight away so feeling a bit more content. Roll on week on Monday so I can get get my scan.

Dillydollydaydream · 11/04/2012 07:37

I saw a rather nice changing bag in Boots last week before I got a BFP.
The bag is now reduced and I'm wondering whether it's too early to get it?! Can't miss a bargain, right?

This is it

Also quite like the Pink Lining bags but everyone seems to have one and it'd probably get filthy!

CODwidow · 11/04/2012 07:45

Ooo that's nice dillydolly, v.hard to miss a bargain! Feeling really emotional today, nearly cried that dh forgot to take the bin out this morning and had to stop myself ringing him and ranting!

Dillydollydaydream · 11/04/2012 07:53

Oh no! Hate the irrational emotional-ness (not even a proper word but never mind). I go from feeling like I hate my poor husband to being on the brink of tears! Crazy! Grin

Queenofsiburbia · 11/04/2012 07:58

Hello. I'd like to join, my due date is 28th nov but both my sis and I were 10days late, plus DH was late too. Also Nov threads everyone is miles ahead of me and all rather confusing!
I'm a newbie and so far pretty relaxed. I have been told to register for NCT asap as they get fully booked. I live in commuter belt, east Anglia :-( so probably should, seems excessive tho'...
Congrats to all!

CODwidow · 11/04/2012 08:37

Well just booked my booking in as had to phone surgery anyway and they can't fit me in til 3rd may!! Ages away or so it feels!

Clarella · 11/04/2012 08:38

Hi Queenofsiburbia, congratulations and to all newbies! I felt the same about the Nov thread and am around a similar due date to you :)

I was wondering about the ntc too - seems soon but if I want to get onto the one 5 mins walk from my house I guess i'll need to move fast.

I wonder if I've been on t'internet too much? - every other day i wake up convinced nothing is there and I'm going to lose it, then I'm ok and get excited/ish - either way I'm pretty pragmatic (or trying to be) - I don't know if its also because being 35 I now know so many people who have had a miscarriage (but not well enough to discuss it) and the 3 friends who do know (only one with children) have not experienced miscarriage and two - as I'm sure I would have been prepregnancy - don't understand my fears.

I could be like this today cos the house is a tip (builders just stared ripping down the back of the house in order to rebuild and I've got to do school work - I'm getting very anxious a out school next week, it can be physically very challenging as well as stressy.

Sorry, moan over. Does spending ages staring at food trying to work out what to eat count as ms?

StrawberrytallCAKE · 11/04/2012 09:35

I am glad I'm not the only one obsessing about shopping, kiddicare, mamas and papas, mothercare, pacapod, silver cross have been my websites of shame Blush.

I didn't do NCT last time and really regretted it, are any of you with more than 1dc doing an NCT course?

lauraloo09 · 11/04/2012 09:37

morning everyone hope you are all ok sorry ive not been on in a few days just not been myself :(

been up most of the night with nausea and boob pain boobs still very very sore but nausea seems to be subsiding for now. I cant remember my boobs being so sore with DD but im not complaining :) ive been looking at clothes etc but i wont buy anything until after 20 weeks scan thats what i done the last night then went overboard lol. My SIL has 4 kids 2 boys and 2 girls once she was finished with their clothes she sent them to my mums for storage. I know of several outfits i bought for my nieces and nephews that were never on their back so was thinking of going thro the boxes and digging out the never worn stuff does that sound cheap/terrible? this year has been hard with finances so anything that could save money i was thinking would be ok. there are also several of my DD's outfits that she never got on her back so was going to go thro them too. sorry last question...im supposed to be running a 10k on 13th may for Dreams Come True charity ill be 10 weeks i dont know whether it would be safe to take part and after the year of clomid and ttc im thinking of not doing it am i being too cautious??

To all the campers...i used to go to some campsites in Southern France for holidays and had some of the best holidays camping. Going to a Haven campsite near Blackpool for summer and cant wait i really think DD will love it :)

Sorry for the long post xx

Chloe55 · 11/04/2012 09:47

Laura well it's 'safe' to run providing you are used to it but if it was me then I wouldn't take any chances but then I am in a similar boat to you and we have been trying for this baby for 5 years so I am all but wrapping myself in cotton wool this time round! Forgot what else was said, will post this the write again Grin my memory is shocking!!

Chloe55 · 11/04/2012 09:51

Oh yes, absolutely no shame in pass down clothes-that's pretty much how ds1 was kitted out and hopefully dc2 aswell! There's so much expense anyway without spending a fortune on clothes!

strawberry I was considering nct class as a lot of my friends have done them bug after speaking to a recent friend she thought they were crap and overpriced and she got a lot more out of the free local antenatal. She is breastfeeding but said there was little mention of formula/bottle in nct and obviously, through no fault of the mother breast-feeding doesn't alwaysturn out as planned so people need to be aware of the back up.

backwardpossom · 11/04/2012 09:55

lauraloo I think your 10k would be fine as long as you're already used to running those sorts of distances? Just listen to your body and if you're feeling grim, stop. I have a place in this year's Great North Run, so am going to have to see about deferring my place until next year. Gutted - the one year I get in and this happens! Wink

Booking in appointment... yes, must do that... my friend is the receptionist at my docs surgery, so guess she'll know fairly soon! Grin

lauraloo09 · 11/04/2012 09:56

strawberry didnt do NCT class last time round i got a lot of information at the local antenatal classes so will prob go there again.

chloe not done running for a while now but generally fit as i do karate but think i will give the run a miss would never forgive myself if something were to happen

x

PurplePidjin · 11/04/2012 10:18

My local nct is a weekly open house. I'll be away this week but might give them a ring next week and see if I can go along to the following Fridays meet. I'll be 8 weeks by then Shock

I swim a mile a week with a friend who has a 8mo. I'm not a fan of swimming, but it's her only babyfree time because her dp works away so I go for the exercise and to be supportive. I might see if I can find the motivation to go on my own during the week - said friend was back in her pre-pregnancy jeans within weeks so I want to follow her example Envy

ItsMyLastOne · 11/04/2012 11:57

I've already been looking at double pushchairs (my sister and I have shared a few as we spend a lot of time together with our DD's). I was going to wait to order the one I want but the release dates and batches coming not the uk keep being out back so I'm kind of tempted to order very very soon to make sure I get it in time. Confused

We've also bought curtains for the spare/new baby's room, and have discussed wha to do about cot or crib etc.

This is way too early for all this isn't it?! Blush

PrunellaDeVille · 11/04/2012 12:01

lauraloo sounds like you've a treasure trove of baby stuff at your mum's place - make full use of it - it'd be a shame to let it go to waste unused and i'm sure your sil would be happy to see again the lovely things she dressed her own kids in- full of great memories for her maybe. frankly i'm hoping to only buy the bare minimum - most friends have one or two dc now and the clothes just keep going around.

As for NCT i'll indulge a little in their second hand sales for whatever else we need. no idea what we'll need though and not sure where (or when) to start.

cashmere we're heading in a circular route from calais round the east side, through the middle bit as far as limoges then onto bordeaux for what would have been serious seafood indulgence (it's oyster season - my absolute favourite so i'm gutted) then back up the west coast to the ferry at Le Havre. Camping all the way - living out of the back of my ancient little peugeot - hope it gets round. any tips on campsites? do you need to book before you go? or can you just rock up whenever?

on/off symptoms here too and epic wind

Clarella · 11/04/2012 12:02

Not very knowledgable about karate but are you going to continue to train Lauraloo?
