Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

Hi all!! Can I join due 12/13th dec, had a mc back in oct so a little cautious but lots of symptoms this time so fx! Oo could someone add me please as on my phone x

Cookiesandcream06 · 10/04/2012 18:14

Hello! I've found the December thread- whoop! Congratulations to everyone for your BFPs Grin

This is number 2 for me, due 12th Dec. Fighting the urge to tell people but I've got a big mouth at the best of times!! Am I crazy for having symptoms already?! Or just too many hormones ?!

YikesHereWeGo · 10/04/2012 18:32

Hello everyone! I can't believe how slowly the days are passing!! I reached the momentus milestone of 6 weeks today and already it feels like 6 years. How on earth are we meant to keep up the secrecy until week 12 let alone not die of anticipation before week 40 to meet the new arrivals (all being well)??? Patience is not one of my strong suits...

CODwidow · 10/04/2012 18:45

I definately have symptoms so your not crazy cookie calling the mw on Monday I think still feels so early but really hoping they'll do an earlier scan due to mc last time not sure if they will though :/
Is it really bad to already be thinking of pushchairs and baby shopping! :) :)

PurplePidjin · 10/04/2012 18:53

Yikes,I just want to do the screaming bouncy thing with someone!! Family are too focused on the practical, I want to just be silly and excited Blush

CODwidow, I'm already researching - this is my unexpected first and I feel so clueless, it'll take 9 months to know what I need Grin

minipie · 10/04/2012 18:59

Yikes I agree! seems like forever. I'm so dying to talk about it, I bet I'm going to bore the arse off people once I hit 12 weeks and can finally tell!

CODwidow · 10/04/2012 19:01

Well this is my 5th and I'm just as excited as I was with no 1!! All my ds's will be at school when lo is born so that'll be lovely x

Chloe55 · 10/04/2012 19:13

Welcome new ladies Grin

I have been feeling really dizzy today so have booked a gp appointment for Friday. Bit concerned I have stopped feeling sick, boobs still occasionally hurt but is if normal to have on/off symptoms?? Have horrid sore throat too.

Tenting-we bought a new one 2 years ago and are yet to use it Blush. Plan was to go camping in august but not sure I fancy it at 5mths pregnant.

ddas · 10/04/2012 20:00

i'm having on/off symptoms too so think it's completely normal. can't remember what it was like with ds but think can only remember the ms which lasted for what seemed like forever but can't remember when it started.
cookies glad you've decided to move over from the april bpf thread and join us here on the antenatal thread :)

PurplePidjin · 10/04/2012 20:05

If it's your first time, I'm not sure I would either. My camping is in my own van, at shows with a large and established support network. I barely boil the kettle as it is, so with a cute newborn it'll be cushty. These are people dp has known for decades and who are anxious to see him settled and happy. If we were just heading off to a random site in a tent I'd be far less confident!

Chloe55 · 10/04/2012 20:13

It won't be my first time purple but admittedly I am ready for a bed by day 3 of camping Grin I was pretty uncomfortable by that point with ds1 so I think I will give a miss and do butlins or something instead as ds loved it there last year. Any maternity/nursing bra recommendations for a FF cup that aren't hideously expensive? My maternity bras from first time round 6 years ago are a DD, how the hell did that happen?!!!

Cookiesandcream06 · 10/04/2012 20:19

I think it's just that it doesn't seem real yet, especially where I've not told anyone, just feels too early to even admit to myself I'm pg?! But speaking at the docs today it did feel a bit more like it was actually happening!
I feel completely exhausted, waves of nausea throughout the day and today even a bit dizzy. All pretty much how I felt last time round- but I'd forgotten just how tired I had felt!! Can't remember feeling it at 5 weeks but also I feel pretty bloated- I can see this being hard to hide sooner rather than later!

And no you are not alone - I've already googled Moses baskets!!

Chloe, I am getting much the same, sometimes have no symptoms at all, so I think (hope) it is normal! I too have a terrible sore throat and cough I can't seem to get rid of. Found some medicine today that said on the instructions it is safe to take when pregnant. The down side is that it seems to do absolutely nothing!

Chloe55 · 10/04/2012 20:33

Hmmm I am trying to avoid all drugs, Inc. Paracetamol as much as poss as I am so paranoid with this pregnancy due to pcos, endometriosis and previous miscarriages. I have sucked on a halls soothed which has also quite frankly done sweet F.A.

PurplePidjin · 10/04/2012 20:35

I have a nice big double bed in my bus Grin

Chloe55, I'm going to experiment with stocking clips and cheap bras. Just cut the strap and thread the hook, sew it back together. See the lumpy bit to the top of the cup. I have old bras and old suspender belts to play with :)

Chloe55 · 10/04/2012 20:40

Ooh that's an interesting idea purple

PurplePidjin · 10/04/2012 20:48

I'll be doing a lot of make do and mend, dp's been in his new job less than a month, I'm unemployed and temping, and we want there to be a sahp. I also love sewing, knitting and crochet so I get to indulge my hobby Grin

CODwidow · 10/04/2012 20:53

Ive told a few people finding it really hard to keep it too myself and yet still feels unreal. I think when i see mw it'll seem more real just wish i had a little window to check everythings ok in there lol
I also had forgotten how tired you feel but just got to get through this week and then boys will be back at school and luckily i work from home so will at least get to rest if need be!

Ihave a wedding next month so will have to be the des driver i think to explain the non drinking.
Im hoping to really try to keep the eating under control as ive just lost 2.5 stone and really dont want to have to do it all again so ive found porridge is my new best friend stops my nausea, keeps me full a little longer and hopefully gives me a bit of energy.

Anyway congrats to everyone and has anyone thought with all the numbers on the thread at least one of us is going to find we have two lo's instead of one!!!

Cookiesandcream06 · 10/04/2012 21:31

Yeh COD I literally feel like if I could see that I was pg and there was something in there I would believe it- roll on 12 weeks! I just can't seem to believe a collection of pg tests!! When do people usually tell their parents? I can't even remember when I told them with DD.. I don't know how much longer I can keep it in!? They're going to be really surprised I know they are.

I am barely keeping my eyes open, I can't seem to watch tv progs that start at 9 anymore.... Zzzzzzzz

VegemiteSandwich · 10/04/2012 21:31

Hey, can I come join the party? Have added my name below. According to my LMP I should be due on the 12th, but (knowing exactly when we must have conceived) I reckon I must ovulate quite late and think maybe I'll be later than the 12th. Maybe.
