Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

QueenandKingMum · 10/04/2012 13:43

I've got the insomnia/exhaustion thing too. Gah, it's becoming really tricky isn't it??

kateand2boys · 10/04/2012 13:55

ItsMyLastOne I'm not thinking of a name change for quite a while, too nervous. DH and I keep talking in terms of 'if things continue as they are'. However, I'm pretty sure the name change will be to kateand3boys:)

Apart from sore boobs I don't feel too bad, morning sickness with previous 2 was horrendous, so I'm enjoying the respite and trying not to obsess about lack of symptoms.

Glad to see lots of campers here, I help out with the local Beaver colony and we'll be on camp when I'm nearly 12 weeks. No red wine of soft cheese with the other leaders on this tripWink

cherrypiew3 · 10/04/2012 13:59

Hi Everyone,

Starting to feel a little worried about my lack of symptoms now. Booked Dr's appointment for next week could of seen a Dr earlier but wanted this one. We have moved recently and I am suppose to move Dr's I really don't want to so hoping to beg the Dr to let me stay with him.

Stacks looking at the list we have the same due date do you still have no symptoms?

FriendofDorothy · 10/04/2012 14:06

We're campers too. We have booked camping in August when I should be about 5 months pregnant. No festival booze for me!

backwardpossom · 10/04/2012 14:11

We're campers too - going to the Lakes in August...

cluelessnchaos · 10/04/2012 14:14

No symptoms here either which is very unusual for me. I'm laying low this week while the kids are off school. I don't trust my self not to blab

minipie · 10/04/2012 14:31

afternoon all

Well I had a little bit of spotting at the weekend and then some rather more obvious bleeding this morning, so I went off to the GP and he told me to go for an early scan to check for ectopic etc. Apparently you can just drop in for these, don't need a referral or anything which surprised me.

Anyway had the scan and phew all seems well. No heartbeat yet but got a pregnancy sac which is the right size for c. 6wks. Feel a bit daft for panicking now Blush but they were really nice at the hospital. And the bleeding has now stopped Smile.

Haven't got many symptoms - I feel a bit tired and my boobs are a bit sore but not too bad. Only real symptom is constipation Blush - anyone else got this?

Hope everyone had a lovely easter.

Stacks · 10/04/2012 14:32

Cherrypie I've not had any real symptoms. I've got slightly sore breasts, but it seems to build up through the day. In the morning they're fine, and by the evening they ache a bit when I take my bra off. Certainly not painful though. I'm tired recently, but I have my nephew staying who's been waking me up around 6am, so it could easily just be him, and not a pg symptom at all.

Clarella · 10/04/2012 14:36

Cherry, so many seem not to have symptoms but I understand your worry Xox

Re camping - there was rather a lot of consternation about the fact I had not taken sausages.

I'm going to womad in July, camping! Will be there with a nurse and her mother who is a Gp so feel good about that! Sooooo looking forward to the burritos....

Clarella · 10/04/2012 14:37

Sorry to hear about your bleeding mini, glad all is well x

minipie · 10/04/2012 16:40

Thanks clarella. Grin at the wetsuit and honey as two of your 5 items for a camping trip!

PurplePidjin · 10/04/2012 16:49

My last of this year will be VWAction, then I'll see everyone again at big bang the following April with 4mo baby in tow. I'm quite glad about the timing, dp would just haul off to the next show with a tiny baby while I'm a teensy bit more skeptical. The bit that's going to hurt most is putting my bug in storage and getting something sensible for daily use Sad

raggybaggy · 10/04/2012 16:56

OMG! Am in state of shock, due date is 14th Dec, very unexpected!
Mind you it's early days so will just have to stay shtum with everyone for a couple of months, but thought I'd log on here to share the excitement/amazement...

DessieLou · 10/04/2012 16:56

Blimey it's busy in here! Room for another?
I did 2 tests last weds, both were positive, so it has taken me a week to process the information! If it wasn't for all the symptoms I wouldn't believe it. We were trying for a year then decided to take a break and low and behold I get pregnant! Shock
It will be our first and according to due date calculators we are due on Dec 1st. I am exhausted, nauseus, have sore boobs and generally feeling crap! The good news is that I have lost half a stone... a combination of opening a restaurant 2 weeks ago (perfect timing,eh?!) and not being able to stomach anything other than fruit. I'm told it'll only last another 6 weeks or so, so looking forward to that! Grin
Going to the docs tomorrow to get the ball rolling...scary stuff!

cashmere · 10/04/2012 17:00

Ooh we got carried away and bought a tent at the end if last summer. Trying to decide if we actually want to go this summer!! Any camping tips?

DessieLou · 10/04/2012 17:00

By the way, loving all the campers on here! We go to CamperJam every year (not that we have a VW...yet!) but not this year due to new business. Bit gutted but will dig the tent out and make an effort to get some mini camping trips in over the summer while it's still just the 2 of us (well, 3 if you count our spoilt dog!) Grin

Though I went 42 weeks plus with my other two (according to their dates....not my dates!) so probably mid December...

Anyone else get the sickness feeling which makes them feel like they have to eat - a shaky, sit down get some carbs eaten immediately? I get this and makes me pile on the weight - v. keen not to do that this time and be stone heavier by the 2nd trimester. The plan is obviously to float through pregnancy like a glowing sylph.

Clarella · 10/04/2012 17:16

Congratulations to new peep!

You'll love the vw with a wee one purple!

I always seem to need lots of plastic bags to kneel/ sit on put stuff in. Useful to pack clothes in plastic bags inside holdall/backpack ie knickers n bras in one, tops in another - makes rummaging easier/ tidier ;)

I used to be a venture scout, 20 years on and I'm a glamper. I have worked out a cava replacement though - elderflower cordial and fizzy water!

Clarella · 10/04/2012 17:19

*peeps

PurplePidjin · 10/04/2012 17:19

Tip for cashmere: camp in the garden on the first night to work out how to work your tent, what you need and can do without, and how cold it is at 3am

Dessie, Camperjam's a bit far north for us, but we went to Deva a couple of years ago (staffordshire) and it was great Grin

PrunellaDeVille · 10/04/2012 17:21

hello all new and in shock conceptionists. congratulations Thanks

another camper here - our trip this year was planned to be a wine, cheese and shellfish camping tour of france but now it's just a camping tour of france, which will still be marvellous but not quite what i had planned.

PurplePidjin · 10/04/2012 17:22

My bug is 42 years old and tax exempt, and I desperately don't want to give him up. I may be able to talk dp round because I don't plan to do an awful lot of driving. We live in a small town so can get most things we need within a few minutes walk, and my folks are about 45 minutes walk away which I reckon will be good exercise...

cashmere · 10/04/2012 17:36

We're going to book keycamp or eurocamp in France in June. Need to book this month to use a nhs discount code. Going to stay in a caravan/trailer thing though. Had also planned wine/cheese/pate but I'm sure I can adapt- French stick, butter, croissants, pain au chocolat!
What route are you taking through France?

Good idea about camping in garden I am a cold person so can work our how many duvets we need. We did go yurting with 4 month old Ds and thought he might die of cold one night!!

I LOVE elderflower cordial. Need to work out which are the best alcohol free drinks this summer.

PurplePidjin · 10/04/2012 17:40

I suggest you pile on the clothes rather than the duvets. You need lots of thin layers to trap air against your skin; more than two duvets will be oppressive heavy and take your body ages to heat up!

Still no symptoms, except I'm having trouble staying warm, but not sure that's unusual for me--I'm usually always cold anyway!
