Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

yikes,
DH almost ran into a bottle shop today and came out with six bottles of wine, delighted that he can now get away with plonk!!

clareyfairy · 07/04/2012 16:21

hello, can i join? due 4th december, sat here with very heavy eyelids and a slightly nauseous feeling, while 4 year old twins are full of the joys of spring. looking forward to new baby, but a little worried it might be twins again!

cluelessnchaos · 07/04/2012 19:02

Twins oh my word, welcome to the club

TeaJunky · 07/04/2012 19:03

Hi clarey, congrats and welcome Smile

I'm due 4th December too! You have twins, how lovely Grin

Been feeling abit nauseous myself today but found eating carbs helps enormously and not getting too hungry - I'm really rubbish at that, I ignore my hunger till I'm
Starving usually which isn't helpful at all in pregnancy!

TeaJunky · 07/04/2012 19:05

I wonder how the wedding go-ers are getting on hiding their 'condition' Grin

Quills · 07/04/2012 19:13

Welcome to all the newcomers!

Just braved a family lunch for my dad's birthday, think I aroused suspicion by having the teeniest portion of lasagne and shying away from the red wine, but couldn't be helped... Mind you, seeing as I'm in maternity clothes at 6 weeks despite having lost 6lbs already, I can't see myself keeping this baby (babies?!) quiet until 12 weeks.

Is anyone else struggling to keep it under wraps?

pleasebethismonth · 07/04/2012 19:22

evening ladies and welcome to the newbies

well i've been out all day due to dh ranting he hasn't done much this holiday. We have visited mil and then spent the afternoon at the shop/park. Just bathed dd and now sooooooooo shattered!

Mil said she had guessed (I knew she had as I caught her looking at my inflated belly last week) she said she can't believe i'm only 7 weeks! I really need to lay off eating everything in sight but easier said than done!

Clarey- what are the chances of twins again?

pleasebethismonth · 07/04/2012 19:25

Quills- Ihave just cross posted with you but YES i am already so much bigger this time round. I was hoping to keep it from work until about 14 weeks but i'm kidding myself I think. Last time i didn't really show until 20 weeks!

Stacks · 07/04/2012 20:31

I've not really got any symptoms yet. Though I'm only 4+3, anyone else symptomless?

Chloe55 · 07/04/2012 22:06

I'm back ladies Grin. Managed the whole I'm drinking whilst slyly swopping glasses with dh. It worked right up until I decided enough was enough and I needed my bed-I tried to sly out but got busted by a mate and dh said I could tell her-so I did Grin. So, I'm back at the hotel in bed and dh is still partying well and truly sloshed after drinking for 2! I suggested he stayed-couldn't bare seeing his drunk miserable face back here whilst I fell asleep Grin

Welcome newbies Smile

ItsMyLastOne · 07/04/2012 22:21

Can I tentatively join this thread? POAS this morning and immediate positive result. I think me EDD is about 6th Dec but I haven't been keeping track of things. How many weeks/days does that make me? 5+3?

DP and I have a DD aged 18 months and have been half heartedly trying since she was born. It's been so long now that we didn't really expect it to happen (I was told before dd that I couldn't conceive naturally so just thought dd was a fluke) so it's a bit of a shock tbh.

I know it's been a whole 14 hours but loads of people know already. DP couldn't keep quiet and I didn't want to leave my mum and sister out. Then I didn't realise I was on loud speaker to my sister and my nan and grandad were there. Oops!

So anyway, hi everyone! [bugrin]

PurplePidjin · 07/04/2012 22:23

Well done Chloe55, and hello new people Brew

We spent the evening with dp's family. I very sensibly kept my mouth shut (mil and sil know, bil and the friend they're staying with don't)

4.6yo dnephew overheard dp talking to sil and has done his 2+2 he even deduced that dp is the dad and I'm the mum Grin according to him we should have boy girl twins Hmm

I'm mostly symptom free, just a tendency to exhaustion in the middle of the day and insomnia. 6+1...

ItsMyLastOne · 07/04/2012 22:26

Stacks I'm pretty much symptomless too. I've been having light bleeding for 2 weeks. This is very similar to my pg with dd. I bled solidly till 7 weeks pg and was sick once, maybe twice.

cherrypiew3 · 07/04/2012 23:22

Evening Ladies

Hi clarey and Itsmylastone and congrtulations[busmile]

Strawberry yes on and off cramps that go all the way round to my back, I fell down the stairs at the start of the week and really hoping that the cramping is all normal.

Stacks apart from the cramping I have no symptoms which I'am loving I have suffered with really bad morning sickness in the past and am dreading it kicking in again.

rosa7 · 08/04/2012 05:18

hi all,
this is lovely, i'm in oz now but had my DD in london and am still so attached to mumsnet - its the best! Its so nice that while i sleep you are all busy posting and by the time i log in i've got loads to catch up on!

PurplePidjin · 08/04/2012 06:40

I'm awake, rosa, blasted insomnia! It's half 6 here Brew

QueenandKingMum · 08/04/2012 07:49

Morning girls - I've got the insomnia yet exhausted thing too. Oh the joys! I'm only 4+2 lol.

Happy Easter!

kiwi5 · 08/04/2012 07:50

Was thinking last night - as I lay awake for ages- that I should ask if anyone else finding sleep difficult. Dd often keeps me awake anyway, but when she does sleep through, still finding myself awake. Thinking maybe a bit anxious, I have an early scan on tuesday to see if there has been growth. Fingers crossed.
Happy Easter everyone.

acjfluff · 08/04/2012 07:55

Morning all!
I'm having trouble staying asleep but dropping off is fine. I feel tired in the day but not sleepy, if that makes sense. This is all new to me so I'm just going with it!! I'll continue to assume that all the odd pains n wind Blush are perfectly normal.

QueenandKingMum · 08/04/2012 09:17

I'm just permanently exhausted, and I hate it because normally I am extremely energetic, get going kind of person, and everything feels like a chore. Gah.

Barbeasty · 08/04/2012 09:38

Hello all, can I join?

My due date is the 12th, and this will be DC2. I already have a DD who will be almost exactly 2.5 when this one (hopefully) arrives.

I tested this morning, but haven't told DH yet. We are going to MIL for lunch and Easter egg hunt later, and he is useless at keeping secrets! I think he's wondering, because I said I would drive (it's about a 10 minute walk) because it's due to rain. He can't understand why I might not want to drink- his family occasions involve plenty of drinking.

In addition to the driving, I have had a horrible cold for the last week or so, and am debating dosing up on paracetamol again- which his family know so at least I have a good excuse in their eyes! I'd put slight nausea down to my cold, which of course it could still be.

Still slightly in shock (and have checked the test a few times) because we hadn't made much effort this month. A combination of both being ill, and DD having chicken pox. Typical!

ItsMyLastOne · 08/04/2012 14:01

kiwi why are you having an early scan? Sorry, I haven't read the whole thread.

Ah fluff the wind, can't wait for that to kick in again! Luckily last time I was working with DP and our dog goes to work so I'd just blame it on her! [bublush]

I'm feeling pretty tired too, but I think I'm anaemic so I'll just start with the iron tablets now.

clareyfairy · 08/04/2012 14:59

chances of it being twins again? i dont know, but it would be astonishing. i have known someone with 2 sets of twins, and thought to myself "that poor woman" ha ha.
