Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

StrawberrytallCAKE · 24/03/2012 16:03

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

Done stupid mountain climbing

PurplePidjin · 06/04/2012 22:05

I think the pic I saw had her practically upside down off Kilimanjaro of somesuch. And she was wearing a helmet and safety gear but the kid was just sat there getting sunburned. Hence the Stupid label Wink

Point being, if you can climb mountains with one you can jog across a forest with a bunch of mates, right? Please say yes

cluelessnchaos · 06/04/2012 22:10

I think a baby would be sick at the very least, try it out with you on your dps back see if you feel ok?

cluelessnchaos · 06/04/2012 22:12

Didn't mean that to be as arsey at it sounds please ignore me

PurplePidjin · 06/04/2012 22:18

No Fear, I'm heavier than him (only by a few pounds, but still)

I'm spectacularly hard to offend

cluelessnchaos · 06/04/2012 22:24

Thank god because I'm spectacularly good at accodentally offending people x

PurplePidjin · 06/04/2012 22:30

[bugrin] I'm sure I'll have pissed you all off mightily by next week December with my inane newbie questions!

kalidasa · 06/04/2012 22:46

Thanks for the reassurance everyone. There's been no more today anyway and it was only a pink tinge. I'm just very anxious about it after the last two times.

In more positive news, I'm going to book an appointment to try acupuncture next week to see if that helps with the sickness. I've heard some women find it helpful. I reckon anything is worth a try.

Also, my boobs are definitely expanding and they were pretty big to start with (30DD). Has anyone else bought a new bra yet? I'm wearing my roomiest one but I don't think even that one is going to cope for much longer!

TeaJunky · 06/04/2012 23:12

clueless - how many weeks are you? That surge of energy sounds amazing!

Oh and pru - Grin@ 4 dc's.... S'ok, it made me giggle if abit nervously Grin

SeymoreButts · 06/04/2012 23:17

Congratulations to the new BFPs!

I feel totally out of touch, I've been frantically trying to prepare for the 23 hour flight with the DCs tomorrow, so have not been online much. How I wish DH was coming!

kali I'm glad the pink tinge has gone, my sister had it and it didn't affect her pregnancy, it's hard not to worry though.

clueless that's amazing! DH is getting the snip soon, I'll get him to ask for a double snip! When are you going to tell the DCs? I think I will wait for the first scan, unless DD figures it out sooner.

I've got hardly any symptoms at all, apart from sore boobs. My "morning sickness" turned out to be DS's tummy bug!

cluelessnchaos · 06/04/2012 23:22

5 weeks I think, I put the energy down to having caught up on sleep now dc4 is finally sleeping well.

Talking to dh tonight we don't really want to tell anyone, everyone rolls their eyes when we say we aren't having anymore and the reaction is going to be much hilarity. The dc will be thrilled particularly dd1 she adores babies do probably tell them after 12 week scan and then we will have to go public

PurplePidjin · 07/04/2012 07:18

Kali, I'm a 36d and had to buy a couple of the slightly padded tshirt bras to protect my poor nipples!! Two for six quid in Primark because they won't last long. There's a lovely independent department store nearish me called Bradbeers, they have the best fitters ever so I'm off up there as soon as I hit 12 weeks for a fitting. I think my biggest maternity investments will be bras and a swimming costume, the two things I can't sew Grin

My gran turns 91 three days before I'm officially 12 weeks. Her first great grand child (she's been nagging me for years my cousins live in America) so family outside parents will find out then hopes for no heart attacks among elderly Pidjin population

Chloe55 · 07/04/2012 07:40

Oh my god, wrote a massive post and my phone lost signal. Basically, seymore have a safe flight, I would be worried with the up and down shaking motion of running with a baby and I'm bloody knackered and not sure how ill get through the wedding today. That was my superduper long post in a nutshell Grin

cluelessnchaos · 07/04/2012 08:25

Feeling a lot less energetic this morning after only 4 hours sleep after my surprise result yesterday. I think because dh isn't here and I can't talk to anyone in rl it's all just going round and round in my head

PurplePidjin · 07/04/2012 08:32

I didn't think of Shaken Baby Syndrome Shock

QueenandKingMum · 07/04/2012 08:45

Morning girls, woke up shattered again - gah, I'm even boring myself with it now. Bought a great wireless tshirt bra at mothercare yesterday that is just bliss frankly!

I told the kids yesterday and they have been asking me to do Google pictures of what stage we are, bless. So sweet.

Seymore - eek, have a good flight!

Chloe55 · 07/04/2012 09:03

Argh I am sick of losing signal after writing a post Angry basically I am pissed off, we are stopping in our hotel with 2 other couples, these couples are driving to the wedding together leaving dh and I to get taxis, I am feeling like today is gonna be an unnecessary mission. Dh is adamant we need to keep the pg from people today which basically means hardwork from me, I can't be arsed to pretend to drink when I can't touch a drop, can't be arsed to stay at a venue to the end when I do well to stay awake longer than 5hrs at a time, can't be arsed to get taxis when I am perfectly capable of driving, can't be arsed to dodge questions about how the fertility treatments going, just generally can't be arsed. We have told close family and a couple of friends so he can't play the superstitious card. I needed my friends when we miscarried last time and god forbid it should happen again then my friends will know, cause I will tell them, cause I will need their support so u can't understand why it all needs to be some big bloody secret Sad. Sorry for the rant, I have woken up in a stinker of a mood.

pleasebethismonth · 07/04/2012 09:16

Chloe- I feel your pain! Not only losing the posts but having to pretend you are feeling great and having a fab time! ahhhhhhhhhh
My Dh is on holiday at the moment and keeps ranting about not doing anything and being stuck in all the time. I just want to rest and not be traipsing around feeling sick and tired. To top it all off, DD was awake for 1.5 hours last night which I will certainly pay for today.

Glad to hear others are buying new bras etc as I'm eating soooooooooooooo much it won't be long before anything fits me!

cluelessnchaos · 07/04/2012 09:21

I'm with you Chloe, I could never keep it a secret especially from people I would tell everything else to. How about if you told a couple of people who think they are the only person who knows. Then at least it doesn't spread like wildfire. I would definitely be driving though. You could say taxi company called at the last minute and cancelled and then you can direct your pissed offness at a fictional taxi man and it might put people of the scent. But guaranteed in 6 weeks when you tell everyone they will all say they knew at the wedding.

chickissimma · 07/04/2012 09:46

purple A friend goes running with her baby using a special buggy. Not sure how young the baby was when she started (very, I think!). Don't think a sling would work so well (and what if he tripped?!).

I'm going to tell close friends that I see IRL before the scan. There won't be many as I don't have a great social life Grin. As for 'mum friends' here, I'll play it by ear - I think they may well guess. A complete stranger asked when I was due yesterday. I'm 6 weeks and have bloating a bump Shock.

Good luck at the wedding chloe. Sounds grim! I went to a wedding last pregnancy - just the evening do, but was v hard work as I was used to going to bed at 8pm.

Hello to everyone else, need to go get the baby who's NOT napping as I'd hoped!

YikesHereWeGo · 07/04/2012 10:03

Morning all.
Chloe - totally with you in all of this! I've got to go through the same nonsense next weekend at a wedding (pretending to drink, staying out as late as everyone else, taking a taxi back to the hotel) and am not looking forward to it.
Yesterday we hung out with two of our best friends who have recently had IVF and then miscarried and it was really difficult keeping the secret. I felt like such a fraud. Plus, my boyf and mates spent the whole day drinking Wine whilst I had to pull off the "I'm driving so can't drink" routine. Grrr.
Been spending the morning searching for potential honeymoon destinations whilst preggo (for June) and the possibilities are narrowed massively versus not being preggo. Thinking of Italy as it's relatively close, lots of culture, and you don't need injections to go there!
Am feeling a bit annoyed today (hormones?) as boyf keeps saying that "it won't feel like you're pregnant until I've seen the 12 week scan". Well I jolly well feel preggo. Annoyed that he's refusing to give up the booze too and drinks at home most days. Double grrr.
Rant over.

cherrypiew3 · 07/04/2012 10:08

Well POAS again this morning and the line is still there so guess it means I really am pregnant.Grin

My stomach really hurts I can not remember it hurting this much in my last pg anybody else feel like this?

StrawberrytallCAKE · 07/04/2012 10:18

Yikes I went to Antigua at 6 months in 1st pregnancy, it was bliss and no vaccinations needed. I think that is true for all of the Caribbean. Would you rather stay closer to home?

cherrypie I'm definitely getting on again off again cramps, is that what you're having?

Still knackered here and dh was taking dd out this morning when she threw up in the car (poor munchkin) so they're back, he said he's feeling sick and they are feeling very sorry for themselves on the sofa. We are having our nephew (same age as dd) to stay for the night and I'm not sure how I am going to keep my energy up.

I can't remember who asked me, but yes, the digi confirmed, so I def am pregnant! Can't stop sneezing... weird preg symptom?!

backwardpossom · 07/04/2012 11:30

Also, Chloe, I'm at a wedding in Scotland today too!

I realised this morning that I ordered pate for the starter... oops.
