Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

StrawberrytallCAKE · 24/03/2012 16:03

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

Can I join? I'm feeling a bit shell shocked, poas today after thinking its been a while since my last period and lo and behold I find myself here. Dh offshore, spoke to him and he is thrillied even though he had the snip last year and I was on the pill. This is baby number 5, 2 girls, 2 boys. Still doesn't seem real no symptoms at all.

cluelessnchaos · 06/04/2012 17:25

Hey kalidassa. I bled with all my pregnancies and all of them were fine. It's still scary I know, I was scared each time it happened. You never get used to it .

cluelessnchaos · 06/04/2012 17:27

I'll add myself to the list when I can kick ds1 off the pc, can't copy and paste on the phone. In the meantime
Cluelessnchaos due 8th December dc5

PurplePidjin · 06/04/2012 17:33

Chloe55 · 06/04/2012 17:40

On the pill and your dh having the snip-good god are u superwomb woman??!! Grin

acjfluff · 06/04/2012 17:49

Think we need a captain! I'm defo junior deckhand, keep repeating it to myself "I'm pregnant" in the hope it sinks in. So unprepared!

cluelessnchaos · 06/04/2012 17:49

Still breastfeeding too, I am donning my captains hat and setting sail aboard hms o bugger.

lauraloo09 · 06/04/2012 18:21

evening all hope you have all had a lovely day again apologies for not keeping up with everyone and welcome to the newbies

clueless oh wow DC#5 congratulations!
kalidasa some light bleeding can be a normal symptom at this stage fingers crossed everything is ok

Well i have been feeling quite dizzy this afternoon and boob pain has set in big time. The lack of symptoms had me worrying (even tho i know it is normal lol) so went and bought a cheap test and it came back positive within 30secs lol think its fair to say i can stop worrying :D

PurplePidjin · 06/04/2012 18:22

That either makes me Sensible Susan, or Able Seaman Titty...

kiwi5 · 06/04/2012 19:16

Hiya.
Sort of lurking between here and the November crowd. Am having my second early scan on Tuesday as I had bleeding and camping 2 weeks ago. Hoping it was just bedding in. Scan last Monday showed gestation sac, but couldn't tell me any more. So hoping to see a bigger bundle and maybe a heart beat on Tuesday, then fingers crossed can get more excited.
Have a 15 month old dd so this would be awesome if it's a sticky bean in there. Fingers crossed I get to know you all.
Happy Easter all!
Xx

StrawberrytallCAKE · 06/04/2012 19:17

kalidasa I had bleeding with dd too but everything was fine!! I am expecting it again any time now.

I had 10 hours sleep last night (thank you dd for needing sleep as much as me) an hour nap at 3 and I have just lay down on the bed thinking about sleeping for the night now. I'm wondering if I can just sleep for 9 months and wake up with a baby? Dd and dh could survive on microwave meals??

Has anyone seen those babybay bedside cots? Link - babybay as long as everything is ok in a few months I have to get one! An essential for a sleepy lazy mum like me. I have been obsessing about prams too although it's way too early, silver cross sleepover on linear chassis! If anyone knows anything about it please let me know.

strawberry we had a bedside cot with DD1 and it was fab. The best baby purchase ever. It's this cosatto one. Thing is, DD is still in it (as a normal cot). and I don't know if she'll be out in time for DC2 - she'll be 22 mo. I have no idea when babies move to beds!

I have spent much of today in bed or asleep. Knackered!

PurplePidjin · 06/04/2012 19:33

£300 Shock

Can't you just take one side off a normal cot and jam it up against the bed?

I did warn you about the stupid questions, right?

Stacks · 06/04/2012 20:06

I'm not thinking about any baby stuff yet. Though my sister has lots to hand on when I'm feeling more confident. I'm glad to see a few people on here with later due days than me.

I have spoken to my family about rearranging Christmas though. Usually we host everyone, but not this year!

chickissimma · 06/04/2012 20:19

purple you probably can. We paid much less than that though and I-m a sucker.
Not thinking about baby stuff until after 2nd scan (seems an age away!). Don't think we'll need anything, as all DD's stuff is in the attic.

PurplePidjin · 06/04/2012 20:28

My parents have my old crib. This looks fine for a push chair. Then it's just nappies and baby clothes and a sterilizer (I want to mixed feed/express so dp can join in) and a sling for each of us - dp runs and will be taking Sprout out with the club on a Sunday morning as soon as s/he is old enough from birth so I can have a lie in Grin

I'll hit up the fabric shops asap for the makings of crib sheets etc. Roll on 12 weeks so I can get crocheting!!

TeaJunky · 06/04/2012 20:43

Purple - love your preps, you seem to be well on the ball Grin

Kali- hugs and sticky vibes ...I had spotting with dd, and had an early scan. It was nothing, had a full term pregnancy so don't worry!
Am the only one not knackered yet???

Grin

Perhaps this dc is making up for the awful
Sickness and knackeredness I had with dd!

cluelessnchaos · 06/04/2012 20:47

Im trying to get used to the idea but can't get over it. I've had more energy than I have for months. Started running again, been digging like mad in the garden cleared the drive of masses of snow. Been sledging. Normally I can't do anything at this stage. It just feels like a dream

StrawberrytallCAKE · 06/04/2012 20:50

chicki that looks bigger so would last longer, I was just really relieved something like that existed as we co-slept with dd for a few months and it terrified me. £300 is a lot of money but right now it's only an idea of which I will have many an face up to budgets, spreadsheets and reality when I absolutely have to Grin.

PurplePidjin · 06/04/2012 20:55

Thanks Blush

Sooooooo... How early can dp do a 10 mile cross country run with a baby? We're thinking 4 months/supporting own head. Opinions please?

smongesmonge · 06/04/2012 21:18

Hi, I'm finding it hard to keep up! Head cold gone today but morning sickness has upped it's game and I have vomitted twice today, nice! I feel bad for ds, I kept telling him I can't play as I'm feeling ill. I don't mind saying that for a few days but if this is going to last all the first trimester (as it did last time) I don't know what I'm going to do.

Re excitement Backwards, I guess last time it was like stepping into the unknown. I felt the same way when pregnant as I felt just before I went travelling. This time, well, I'm terrified. Ds didn't sleep for two years and was one of those babies that cry when you put them down. He also was a big fan of the temper tantrums during his toddler years. It has only been easy since he turned three.

Anyone else concerned about how their dc will feel about a baby? Ds loves the idea of a baby (not told him yet but he speaks of it) but the reality will be totally different of course. He is used to it being me and him and we are really really close. I'm really scared of losing our lovely relationship. Sad

cluelessnchaos · 06/04/2012 21:34

Smongesmonge, you don't lose that bond at all, and you love the second baby as much as the first but with the added bonus of seeing your other children bonding/adoring/caring for/fighting with the new baby.

cluelessnchaos · 06/04/2012 21:36

Purplepidjin are you thinking in a sling? Not sure I'd run at any age with them
In a sling but a good cross country buggy any time

PurplePidjin · 06/04/2012 21:50

One of them backpack rucksack hobbies - like the stupid woman who takes her toddler mountain climbing, but minus the stupidly dangerous bit. I'm not sure any buggy would cope with the depths of the New Forest!

cluelessnchaos · 06/04/2012 21:52

Ha I've the stupid mountain climbing with toddlers but not running (small mountains, no munroes until they are 7)
