Early poas-er seeks other December 2012 due dates

I've just had the official confirmation from my digital clearblue test after many a faint line. I have calculated my due date as 5th December and conception started with a curry, how much information am I supposed to share? Boobs aren't sore yet, just a bit bigger. Have had a horrific cold/flu/sore throat for a week and I am very very irrational.

Anyone else out there?

I saw my gp this morning, all looking healthy and she reckons I'll be fine for the Local MLU unless I particularly want a hospital birth. Do I?? Having treated me for 2 years for ptsd and depression (discharged last summer) she was really really pleased with how I'm doing

Fingers crossed everything goes smoothly for us all Thanks

AceOfBase · 05/04/2012 09:35

We don't have a mlu here pidj so I don't know the difference. I had 2 preemies before anyway so i would've been in hospital either way. Well done for doing so well. It's a long hard battle isn't it. I have many a tshirt lol.
Kinda wish i hadn't found out so early now. It's taking too long :o

PurplePidjINRE · 05/04/2012 10:23

Ace, I have absolutely no idea. This is an unplanned (much wanted) surprise first pregnancy! I'm hoping you'll all put up with my complete ignorance

AceOfBase · 05/04/2012 10:28

I meant with your depression :o i will take your chocolate though

StrawberrytallCAKE · 05/04/2012 10:41

Hi purple I had dd in a hospital but only saw midwives, I'm unsure what a mlu is or whether i have one nearby. I felt happy at the hospital in the knowledge that if I did need extra help it was all there and I would have access to it quickly. It is totally up to you how you feel....if the snow is bad we might all be having home births....eek. Sorry it's way to early to be worrying about that kind of thing!

Pleased for you that you've managed to come through a tough time, I had a tough time and since having dd its been a little difficult tiring from time to time but never as bad as before because of her.

Oh one of those chocolate cakes with a mini egg on top? strawberry I like your style Envy

TeaJunky · 05/04/2012 11:13

Chloe - I told her. She was very happy for me but I know you are right - unfortunately for her, it has come at a very bad time and I totally get that. It's not harsh, don't worry..thanks for your reply, good to
Know someone out there understands x

I went to see midwife for initial appointment yesterday - I only found out on Sunday so was well impressed with getting an appointment three days later! EDD is 4th December so can someone please add me to list!

ddas · 05/04/2012 11:25

Hi got my bpf at 9dpo on sunday but been too scared to join you ladies till I'd actually missed a period which was today and lines getting stronger on the cheap internet hpt's so feeling brave enough now to come over to the antenatal thread! Due on the 14th December.

this will be dc2 for me with a very small age gap-ds will only be 16 months when the new baby comes!! but it was very much planned as we wanted a 2 school year age gap but didn't want another baby so late in the school year (ds is an august baby) so meant having a slightly shorter age gap than most people will probably expect us to have. Can already imagine the comments we're going to get but will just have to let it be water off a ducks back as we are over the moon and don't want anyone spoiling it!! Especially since this will be our last DC want to enjoy it all.

Def going to pay for an early scan at 7/8 wks to make sure something actually there. not patient enough to wait 12 weeks!
symptoms wise it seems to come and go with the nausea but already started to feel very tired and from I remember from last time symptoms didn't really kick in for me till 6 weeks.

I had quite a traumatic labour ending with an instrumental delivery with ds resulting in a 3rd degree tear which had to be repaired in theatre immediately after ds was born leaving a shell shocked DH literally left holding the baby on his own in a room. Took until ds was 6 months for it to really heal and not be in pain anymore and really knocked me back and think looking back was probably on brink on pnd due to it all. They've said I could opt for an elective c-section this time due to it but not 100% sure what I'll decide yet.

It's not that small a gap really. Mine are 13 months and at the mo are in the same nursery class. Ds starts p1 in August though

pokes head around the door

Hi all! May I join in? I got a faint line on an internet cheapie this morning. Looks like I'm due around the 13th of Dec. Very excited! I already have a DS who will be about 3 and a half when this bean arrives (assuming everything goes as it should!). I have bought a digital test to use tomorrow to hopefully confirm that DH and I did see a line on the test this morning and that we weren't imagining it! :)

Ace indeed it was, I had one as a starter to my ham, cheddar and coleslaw sandwich for lunch too. I don't need to worry about running out as they are 2 for 1 at the moment and I have 3 packs left. I bought 2 healthy eating in pregnancy books from amazon last week and obviously they're really helping.

I'm not jealous! No! Envy I'm trying to resist the Easter chocs just now.

I would like to give a tip to the newbies- I learned this the hard way last time- if you are having bad sickness do not, I repeat DO NOT eat noodles. Or spaghetti. It is the most horrible feeling when you throw them up.

I haven't bothered with pg books. I think I know enough by now and Dr Google can give more than enough scary useful material anyway.

TeaJunky added you in but not sure i've got your dc# right?

Never been so excited about going to the GP, went yesterday pm now i'm more daunted than ever - he told me i have a heart murmur and questioned whether my heart will be strong enough to carry through pregnancy... anyone have any experience of this?
don't want to google just in case i unearth horrors

AceOfBase · 05/04/2012 13:59

Oh no! Pru! That's an awful thing to hear. I have no experience but plenty ((hugs))

lauraloo09 · 05/04/2012 15:59

Afternoon everyone hope you are all well

pru so sorry to hear about the murmur I would poss start a discussion in the pregnancy forum as I'm sure there will be ladies there who have went thro/going thro the same as you.

Trying very hard to resist temptation with the Easter chocs but ink I'm losing I had to leave weight watchers last week and already I've gained 2lbs so def need to watch what I'm eating don't want to gain too much. Was at asda getting shopping and it was manic thank god I'm now home with my feet up watching last nights OBEM WI my DD making me a playdoh cake lol x

kalidasa · 05/04/2012 16:43

Bleurgh. I have been in bed all week because I am feeling so unwell. 5 weeks today so not v. impressed at feeling so ill so early, especially as it's my birthday on Monday and my DP is going away for a fortnight on Wednesday. Both my sister and my mother had hyperemesis in every single pregnancy so very worried that I'm going the same way. But trying to say calm and positive!

Hope everyone else is doing OK.

ddas · 05/04/2012 16:55

prunella I wouldn't go into panic mode until you have more info. you can get flow murmurs in pregnancy that are just due to the increased circulation are nothing to worry about. wait until you get an echo to confirm what's causing the murmur and seen someone more specialist in that area than the Gp- guessing he's referred you on?

thanks ddas that sounds promising, Gp said he'd set me up with an echo scan but i haven't got a date yet, assuming they'll be in touch. will be patient, calm and breathe deeply til then.

Prunella79 · 05/04/2012 18:23

on a positive note, my stomach just churned at the smell of chocolate, that's the diet sorted then.

TeaJunky · 05/04/2012 18:34

Hugs to pru and Kali- hope you both feel happier and more reassured soon!

Jesus, pru, DC 4?! Grin take away two please! Grin
